I filled out a form online to get more information about health insurance options since I am losing my coverage soon. After filling out the form, I have received 30+ calls a day from random 419-area code numbers (which almost certainly indicates that they are scam numbers since they match my phone's area code). Many numbers call, the phone rings once, then they hang up (again, an indication of a robocall/fake number). Any voicemails I have received have been AI-generated voices and not a real person on the line.I filled out the support form on healthcare.com a week ago and they have yet to respond and take me off of their calling list. Maybe a complaint to the BBB will get their attention!

It appears that ******************** has mistakenly identified HealthCare, **** as the company with whom she has had contact.  We have no record of any calls to or from the ************** telephone number that ******************** indicated in her BBB complaint.  We also do not have any record that anyone named ******************************* has ever visited our website and completed any online form to request information or to be contacted by a licensed agent.  Likewise, we have no record of anyone with an email address of ***************** having ever submitted any request on our website.

As noted in our privacy policy found on healthcare.com, any consumer can contact us at ******************************** to request to be placed on our DNC list.  Although ******************** did not submit her request via our website or the ******************************** email address, we have nonetheless added her name, telephone number and email to our internal DNC list as she requested in her BBB complaint.   Accordingly, there does not appear to be anything else we can do for ******************** at this time.  If she is still receiving unsolicited and unwanted contacts, she will need to contact the actual company that is calling her.  HealthCare, **** is not calling her nor have we provided her contact information to any other company so that they can contact her.

I am rejecting this response because:

BS!!!! You are ABSOLUTELY the company that owns healthcare.com and I will attach a screenshot to prove it. I will also attach a screenshot of my browsing history that shows that I visited healthcare.com on July 20, the day I signed up for the form and began receiving the spam calls and emails.

I am absolutely disgusted by your business practices and that you would straight up LIE to my face!! I hope you shut down forever!!!

With all due respect to ************************ response, we stand by our original reply to her complaint.  To clarify, HealthCare.com has no record of receiving any request from a person who provided her name as ******************************* and an email address of ***************** or a telephone number of **************.  Accordingly, it is impossible for us to have either called her directly or given either that telephone number or email address to any other company and licensed insurance agent.  All HealthCare.com contacts are maintained in our database as required by law -- if she had contacted us or we had contacted her, then we would have a record of that contact.

******************** uploaded two images with her response. One is a copy of the **** consent paragraph from the HealthCare.com website that a consumer sees on our online request form. The other image appears to be an email header that suggests a welcome email was sent to an unidentified recipient on July 20, 2023.   However, neither of the two images indicate any name, address or telephone number.  Given that we have no record of her name or the telephone number and email address that she provided, we must assume that ******************** provided a different name, telephone number and email address that what she indicated in her BBB complaint.  We would only have a record of the name, telephone number and email address that was given to us.   If ******************** wishes to provide the complete email indicating both the email address of both the recipient and the sender, we will be happy to investigate further.

In any event, as we stated in our original response, we have added her name and the telephone number and email address she provided to our internal DNC list as she requested in her BBB complaint.  If she previously provided a different name and contact information, we will be happy to add that information to our internal Do-Not-Call list as well.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Whatever. There's nothing else I can do at this point. I'm still receiving spam calls everyday, by the way.

I used the healthcare.com website to explore information related to purchasing health insurance. Once I put in my cell phone I received over 30 calls in less than an hour from unscrupulous agents using robocall numbers. I asked to be taken off the call list. However the website only removes me from their list. This website is a fraud and is not providing any service. Unscrupulous practices with out any service.

According to our records, ****************** went to our HealthCare.com website and completed an online form to request assistance from a licensed insurance agent.  As promised on our website, we referred her request to a single independent licensed agent who we understand promptly called her at the telephone number she supplied when making her request.  We did not provide her contact information to any other company or agency, nor did we ever make any robocalls to her or any other consumer.   This is exactly the service we promised and that she requested, so we must emphatically disagree with statements that our website is a fraud and that we engage in any form of unscrupulous practices.

When we received ********************** request to be placed on HealthCare.com's internal Do-Not-Call list, we promptly did so and we also notified the agent to whom she was referred so that they could take similar actions.   Unfortunately, it appears from her complaint that ****************** is receiving multiple calls from other websites or entities that have nothing to do with HealthCare.com (we did not refer her to any of those entities).  While we would like to be able to assist her in stopping those calls, there is no way for HealthCare.com to block or stop those calls since we have no knowledge or control over any of those harassing entities.

I made the same mistake as others in that I gave my info to this healthcare.com site instead of the .gov to get an estimate for insurance. In the attached you will see over 40 calls that have continued even after I repeatedly asked to be removed from the call list. They call from various 917 numbers at so it's impossible to block as the number continuously changes. I do not want to receive another call and do not know how to get the harassment to stop.

      Hi *******,

We have gone ahead and put the number you have provided to us on our DNC call list and we have put the email you have provided on our email unsubscribe list. Please reach out to ******************************** if you have any more questions or concerns.

They will NOT STOP harassing me. I filled out a single online form to get more info. Then I no longer required their services and told them so. For the past two weeks, I have been harassed on the phone. Random numbers, a different number every time, call my cell phone to try and sell me health insurance services. I get calls early in the morning, late at night, about every ***** minutes. I politely ask for them to stop and take me off all their lists and block the number (but then they always use a new one). This is severely interfering with my work and personal life and I feel completely harassed and helpless to resolve this situation and get some peace in my life again.

I entered my information like an IDIOT on healthcare.com instead of .gov. They have blown my phone up starting at 7am until after 9pm. Texts, nonstop calls. I have told **************************************** and it doesnt stop. Someone said they updated my file and within 90 seconds there was a another call and text. Nonstop from a **********, ** phone number. It is ridiculous. This place should be shut down. NEVER contact me again!!!

Healthcare, **** appreciates the opportunity to respond to the consumer's review. We take complaints of over-dialing extremely seriously. We processed the consumer's do not contact request on the day it was received, informing the partner with whom the consumer's information was shared that contact must stop. Notwithstanding that, we sincerely regret the inconvenience experienced by the consumer. If the consumer continues to receive unwanted calls, we would ask that she please write to us at ******************************** so that we may further investigate.
