Green Solutions Solar was deceitful in the information provided at the time of solicitation, and they overcharged for what we originally signed for. It was sold that our storm windows and doors would not be tied to the home, taxes, or as a second mortgage. There were also additional charges charged by the City of ********* that was not given to us at the time of financing. Now our mortgage has gone up an additional $1000 because the escrow for taxes has increased to over $11,000 annually because the financing was added to our taxes. This was not explained to us at all and we did not sign anything that our payment would be added to our mortgage. Now we run the risk of loosing our home. We financed this and signed to pay only $503 monthly to be paid to the finance company Renew. Me and my husband has called Green Solutions and now we cannot reach them. Additionally, we are just finding out the company that did the work was not Green Solutions, it was another company. My elderly mother lives in the home and now we may become homeless as a result of this misrepresentation of a product we received.Customer Answer

*************** is a PACE provider (PROPERTY ASSESSED CLEAN ENERGY). When the customer applies for the program, they sign documents that indicate how the financing will be paid back through the property taxes. Our salesperson advises the customer of how the program works first. This is then explained in detail during a welcome call with **************** The customer's claim that they were not advised of how it would be repaid is patently false. There is a portion of the welcome call that indicates exactly how the financing will be repaid, being added as a line item on the property tax bill. It is also indicated that the customer should speak with their mortgage provider since most providers pay the property taxes through escrow funds and the escrow amounts would therefore change. *************** does not have the facility to collect direct payment from any customer on a monthly basis. They have options to make additional payments with a minimum dollar amount requirement twice a year outside of the annual assessed amount attached as a line item on the property tax bill. I am rejecting this response because:1. We never received any notification nor did we sign anything that stated it will be added to my taxes. As a matter of fact, we were told specifically that it would not. If what you are stating, why would we sign finance paperwork? Your explanation does not add up to what we signed for and was told by Renew and the contractors.
2. There is an additionally fee added to our taxes that we never signed for the ********** *** to receive over $2,000. You all added this fee to us with no knowledge or written document of notification. You have a deal with ********** *** and you have passed that on to the customer (***** and ****** *******) without our consent or knowledge.
3. I cannot get anyone to return my calls. Green Solutions (*****) has also tried to call and no-one has responded.
4. We signed finance paperwork with Renew to finance the Windows and doors to pay $531 monthly (it was attached); We were told very clearly this would not be added to our taxes; we would have never gotten the work done. You are responsible for what the mortgage company charges because you added the cost to our taxes and our taxes are escrowed.
5. We want to pay put what we were told and signed for.
6. I have requested that it be removed from our taxes and we pay Renew directly monthly as we signed for.
7. We also need monthly statements stating what was paid and the balance. We do not even know who is getting paid from our taxes payments. We have no idea of what is the status of our payments or balances, because no one calls back or responses to our request to call us.

To reiterate, the financing agreement was made with a separate entity, *************** which is a PACE funding provider. The terms of the agreement were sent via email and the highlights discussed via telephone on the day of the agreement being offered to the homeowners and subsequently signed and agreed to.
I have attached the financing documents provided by *************** which were signed by the homeowners on November 22, 2023. On page 11, paragraph 3, it clearly states how the payments will be made by being added to the property tax bill. The homeowners were required to initial at that item to confirm understanding of this point. This information was also reviewed on a welcome call via telephone on the same date with the homeowners and a representative from ***************.
In addition, on page 48 of the signed financing agreement, it indicates that it will be reported to the mortgage provider as to the approval of the financing in order for any adjustments to escrow to be made.
The requested option of a monthly payment being made directly to *************** is not available as that is not how the program works and is not what the homeowners signed for and agreed to.
Once again, *************** can be reached at ************ for further assistance. I hope this will finally resolve this matter for all parties involved.

I am rejecting this response because: I am reiterating, this is not true, nor is the a fully executed contract. The contract does not have 2 signatures (me as an joint owner of the property and there was not a welcome call. It is not clearly stated nor is it stated any where over $11,000 will be added to my taxes, nor does it state an additional fee of over $2,000 will be going to South Dade ***. If the amount of $511 was added to our property taxes there would not be an issue. I am reaching out to your company, because you are who we spoke with. We never spoke with Renew!

We contracted with Green Solutions to have new windows and doors installed. There's an ongoing dispute regarding two of the door sizes as the thresholds rise above 3 inches. Instead of offering to replace the doors to a correct size the resolutions sends this threating message."Good morning. This is ********, the resolutions manager from Green Solutions. "The entirety of work hasn't even been completed nor passed inspection however I am being threaten with legal action over. This past Thursday the contractor and salesman called me on a 3-way call and began berating me because I was not in agreement with the two doors. It seems this could have been rectified by simply replacing the doors with taller doors and framing out the bottom and charging us the difference. The customer is requesting work outside of the contracted scope of work and we have offered as a courtesy to perform the work necessary to remedy the issue. The customer has elected to make false claims via ****** reviews and filing his complaint here on the BBB. When the owner of the company attempted to speak with the customer, the customer went as far as to threaten the life of the owner of the company. We have remained committed to completing the project as contracted. I am rejecting this response because:The owner has done this in the past. The owner has threatened customers with legal action instead of standing by what his salesmen stated the work would entail. When confronted he makes threats so customers go away. It was stated that the door fixtures would be replaced, that hasn't happen, door panel coverings are missing and we expected it to be resolved a week later, that hasn't happened. The phone call was on speaker and other can attest to the experience. The business takes advantage of subprime customers and the **** program. They have not acknowledged any wrong doing and will not.

Good day, We had already responded to this complaint indicating that the customer is seeking to receive products and services outside of the scope of work that was agreed to between the property owner and Green Solutions. I have attached pictures of the contract, window & door guidelines. On page 3 of the contract file, the guidelines clearly state in item 16. If *** requirements need it, customer must inform to GSSR. This is with reference to any need for flushmounted impact doors which incurs additional work and therefore an additional cost. As indicated in the first response provided, Mr ****** threatened the life of the owner of Green Solutions over the phone during a conversation intended to resolve any issues or concerns that were found with the project. We consider this matter closed as we executed the signed agreement fully and provided the products and services agreed to, passed final inspections with the building department and were paid in full for the project.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:Not 10 minutes before the company's response I recieved a phone call stating that the door covers would be delivered and they refused to provide the black handles as their salesman stated. They also refused to acknowledge that the installed door, which was the subject of the original complaint, leaks water into the garage because it was not installed correctly. The Boca Raton inspector pointed this out to contractor and still it was not corrected. One of the installers actually stated that we needed a new door because it wasn't the right size. The company has not stood by their workmanship, their sales pitch or the stated contract. The **** chief inspector even stated the doors were measured incorrectly. So not only did we not get the product promised, we have to pay to have the work corrected. Many users on **** have depicted similar experiences and an owner that threatens lawsuits if they don't authorize payment when the bank calls for interview. The company posts fake reviews on ****** to overshadow the negative reviews and will even pay to have reviews removed. Furthermore, for some reason this business continues to bring up that I threatened the life of the owner whom I never met. The undertone is more race motivated than factual. I'm an upset customer who just got swindled for 30+ thousand dollars. Typically if someone feels their life is threatend they call the police not make statements to the better business bureau, but that seems to be the excuse to not do the work as promise and to deflect any wrong doing.

We met with a sales ********* which came to our home for hurricane impact windows and doors, we completed a 10% deposit for our materials, we did not sign the permits and asked her to please hold our deposit until she is able to provide the exact make and models of the windows and doors being place as she could not do so at the time of the visit. She also confirm she would have someone come measure the property prior to confirming job. Prior to doing so, she deposits our check. Once contacted shortly after, she advised it is too late and windows and doors were ordered which is impossible as windows were never properly measured. This company since has ignored our multiple attempts for an amicable solution, they ignore our emails and calls. Lias advising windows were ordered when not. They do not take responsible for what their sales associates sell. They promise high quality materials and white glove service but do not give either. They are a fraud; look at the thousands of complaints against this company. They sent an email this matter is closed as their opportunity to scapegoat the fradulant employees in their company.Business Response

The customer in question provided a non-refundable deposit on the window project and we proceeded as normal to place a deposit with the manufacturer to initiate the production of the windows. The customer elected to attempt to cancel the project well outside of the 3 day time frame that is allowed. We graciously allowed for the cancellation of the project outside of the standard 3 day right to cancel timeframe at the cost of the deposit. This information was clearly provided to the customer at the time of the cancellation. The customer has attempted several attempts to recoup the deposit by requesting our services subsequently only to cancel the potential project again and request the return of the initial deposit for the initial project. The customer is intent on having her non refundable deposit returned when it is not possible due to the fact that the company incurred expenses on her project as happens once the right to cancel period has elapsed.Customer Answer

I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding a transaction that took place on March 13, 2024. On March 19, 2023, I attempted to cancel the transaction as no measurements had been taken at my house yet. Despite my efforts to contact the company through numerous phone numbers provided, I received no response. It was only after repeatedly leaving messages that I was able to speak with ******* from the number ************. She informed me that I could not cancel the transaction as it was past the three-day grace ******* However, I would like to emphasize that no measurements had been taken at my residence at that point.I believe it is unfair to deny my request to cancel the transaction when no progress has been made on the project. Good Morning,
I have attached the contract, measurements for the windows that coincides with the contract and a list of all numbers to contact. ******************** spoke with our office Friday and confirmed ************** to go out and do a sketch that needs to be done to submit to the City for permitting. It was explained to him the deposit was placed with the manufacturer after the 3 day right to cancel passed. He was then informed we would speak to the owner to see if there was anything that could be done. He became irate making derogatory comments and it was hard to continue to explain to him the process. Also the number he is providing in the complaint is a person number to an employee in our office and for her safety and privacy we asked it be removed. We also checked all other numbers provided to him and there was only 1 missed call in the early morning of 3/26/24. If you need any other documentation please let us know.

I hired Green Solution to replace my hurricane proof doors and windows. The seller was super helpful at the time. My building requires permits from the city and they said there would be no problems and that they would do everything. Many months passed with no response and I kept calling and without much information from the employees.I started to question why it took so long as I was requesting a series of permits from the city to renovate my kitchen and the responses were relatively quick. Then I discovered that Green Solution employees were not responding quickly to reviews and were not presenting the necessary documents to complete the process. I had to personally call the city and try to resolve the permit process.I called Green Solution many, many times, left several messages to receive a call without any objective response. They came to install it after almost 1 year and still delivered the wrong doors and had to come back later. After more than 1 month they told me that there had to be an inspection and they set a date and they never showed up and I didn't work on that date to receive the inspector who never came and no satisfaction from Green Solution and then they started threatening me that they would place a lien against my house if I didn't get the inspector on the date they wanted.I wouldn't recommend this company even to my worst enemy!Business Response

Good Afternoon,
We spoke to **************** and discussed the project and have come to a resolution. As I explained the City required additional documentation from an Engineer since the project is has to do with the structure of the building and we cannot take a chance ******* this type of work. As for the door, the manufacturer gave us a wrong item and we were not aware until we unwrapped it onsite. We do not unpackage the items prior to avoid any damages that could occur during transport. We brought the item back and obtain the correct door per the contract.
We will continue to work with **************** to make sure the rest of his experience is pleasant with GSSR.

I am rejecting this response because: They forgot to mention that they were almost over a year to have a resolution of my order. That happened because Green Solutions failed in follow up the reviews in a time manner made by the city because they took weeks to access their site and upload the docs reviews. Most of the time I had to access myself. They also failed to mention that they never return my calls so their customer service is terrible. And they also failed to mention that they did not told me about any inspection and when they informed me I agreed the date they told me I did not work that day and the inspector never showed up and they never called me to let me know. Then after few days they called me like crazy and I was very frustrate and they treated me to lien my house.

During 2022 Green Solutions Solar & Renovations LLC subcontracted companies to install our roof and 2 doors. Shortly after the installation our roof started leaking. Since 2022 we have been trying to get our roof fixed by Victory E&I Roofing LLC which was the company hired to install it. It has reached a point where we are desperate for answers that have not been forthcoming from your employees.Despite our prompt payment and consistent cooperation throughout the project, we have encountered substantial issues that have left us deeply disappointed. We engaged your company in August 2023, yet as of now, our roof remains incomplete. Moreover, the lack of communication regarding the completion timeline is deeply troubling. Despite numerous attempts to establish a clear timeframe for the resolution of outstanding tasks, we have not received any definitive response. On April 14th, 2023 I signed a contact with Green Solutions to have my roof replaced pending my HOA approval. My HOA did not approve the color, burnt mission. My HOA contacted me and gave the choices. I selected the color gold dust and this was forwarded to them on May 11th, 2023. *********************************** at Green Solutions acknowledged receipt of the change. Due to delays on their part of not having the supplies, the work did not get started until October 27th, 2023. During that delay, I told them I do not want the project started until all the supplies are in place so that there is no delay. The owner of the roofing company (subcontractor) assured me all the supplies are in place. There were several promises made that were not honored that required my constant calling and texting in order to get them to continue the work. Due to numerous delays on their part, the roofers started to lay the roofing tiles on January 5th, ****. I noticed the tiles were not the corrected approved tiles and contact Green Solutions as well as the roofing company. I left numerous messages and no one returned any of my calls. On February 1st,****, I was sent a text that they would resume completion of the roof on February, 3rd, ****. I told them absolutely not until the problem is resolved. Athis point, at I am in limbo and the blame game has begun and on one is giving me any answers as of today, February 12th, ****.Business Response

We contracted Green Solutions Solar and Renovations LLC to provide a new roof, windows, and doors with the total price upwards of $30,000.00. This process process began in the latter part of November 2023. The roof job has seemed to be completed without any problems, besides the additional charges in excess of $10,000.00 for additional supplies. We have now reached the middle of January ****, and our house remains in disarray, waiting for this job to conclude. It seems the measurement of the windows were incorrect, leaving gaps to be filled for stuffing and sealing the space. Needless to say they did not pass the initial inspection and we have been at a stand still since. There have been numerous calls to the office about this situation, each ending with a promise to look into the problem and a call back that never happens. The last word was they are ordering new windows. The Inspector advised both the contractor and us that new windows is not the solution. The windows need to be pushed back and recemented to close the gaps. We have had to move furniture to the center of the rooms and disassemble beds to make space for this renovation and inspections. We can not continue to live like this due to their prolonged delay and inability to communicate. If you can get through to these people we would truly appreciate it.Business Response

Good Morning,
We were at this property on Jan 2nd in which we failed inspection, unfortunately we were not able to address the comments made by the City at that time. The manufacturer was closed until January 9th and we did not want to take the chance uninstalling all the windows and have access to pick up materials should something break during the uninstall/re-install. We have spoken to the customer and are scheduled to go out this Saturday to make all corrects so we can pass inspection.
