?? FYI - Beware of Santa Rosa Realty! ?? Over the last year I have had to contact them due to a rental property they are managing next door. I have been incredibly reasonable and understanding, until now… The renters have a huge red nose pitbull, which I am quite fond of; however, the owner of the property has refused to properly maintain the fence and the renters’ dog got out and came onto my property and attacked my cat. I’m not upset with the dog, he’s a dog. The renters knew my cat was missing and they said nothing, while watching me search and call for her. I contacted Santa Rosa Realty yesterday to let them know what happened, and again today advising them that I took my cat to the vet, and to see if they would speak with the owner and try to negotiate with him to properly fix the fence, instead of having to pay my cat’s vet bill, or the damages caused by a water leak that they were fully aware of on their property which caused erosion and a huge tree to fall on my home. I also paid for these damages and did not request reimbursement. When I advised the realty company of my rights, which included their vicarious liability, the owner (the mother) began to hysterically laugh in the background and then hung up on me. Ma’am - Please do your research before you make a fool out of your business! This is incredibly unprofessional! So, beware if you are a renter or an owner, and this company is managing the property, as they very well could place you in an undesirable legal situation.

We were contacted Monday Dec 16, 2024 by one of our tenants neighbors, advising us that the tenants dog had gotten out of the fence and attached her cat, which she advised that she did not witness. She stated more than once that she didn't want to cause the tenant or the dog any issues with the owner. She was told that it would be addressed. We called the tenant right away and told her to please make sure that the dog was contained until we could get with the owner and arrange for the fence to be fixed. On Tuesday Dec 17, 2024 at 11:33 am (less than 24 hours from the first call) we received another call from the neighbor. She was told that we had spoken at length with the tenant concerning the issue and that we were contacting the owner to discuss it with him. At that point she began threatening to sue us, the owner and the tenant if the fence was not fixed. She was screaming so loud at Betty that I could hear her from across the room. When Betty tried to reason with her she just kept threatening to sue us. At that point it was very clear that the conversation was going no where so I advised Betty to hang up the phone. Before I could get the owners phone number and get him on the phone she had already called him. When I got him on the phone he said that she was screaming at him as well and even after he told her that the fence would be fixed. It is Wednesday Dec 18, 2024, the maintenance man has been contacted and is on his way to fix the fence. These things do take time to coordinate. Also be reminded that we DO NOT own the property we simply manage it and can only do what we are allowed by the owner to do.
