Hello! According to our terms and conditions its customers responsibility to check the vehicle before purchase. All vehicles are sold as is where is. Regarding the claimed damages customer was informed that at the delivery yard the special equipment is needed. However it wasn't there.

I purchased a vehicle from this business for $975. Two days later I receive an invoice for $2366. I called the business and they explained it was for fees so I asked if I could cancel the purchase. I asked what fees I would incur if I cancelled and they it would be $1,200 to cancel. They only take wire transfers to a bank in **********. They charged me $**0 to tow the vehicle to my home and charged storage fees as well. There are no disclaimers that all these fees would be incurred when purchasing a vehicle. They advertise low prices for vehicle but don**;t disclose the fees attached to making a bid and purchasing a vehicle.Business Response

This was a fraudulent transaction and they are refusing to refund the money or cancel the transaction saying I still owe 1700 more dollars after the 400 someone already took from me. I don't have anything that I received from them, did not make this transaction, and are absolutely refusing to help me in any kind of way. ************************* registered at our website www.abetter.bid and accepted our terms and conditions. She supposed to read it before acceptance. It is clearly said that all bids are final and there is no way to cancel the bid. Also she has signed the purchase agreement before bidding. She purchased the 2006 ****** Camry Solara through by it now option and now refuses to pay for it. That 's why the cancellation and relist fee are charged. We can not issue the refund of her security deposit as it will cover her relist fee. Please find attached our terms and conditions, invoice or the relist, logs during the bidding and signed purchase agreement.

I am rejecting this response because: this is absolutely ridiculous. I did not even make this account with this business, they are refusing to refund my $400 unauthorized transaction because of some purchase made I gather, after they emailed me and asked me for a different form of identification because the one that was used wasn't supported. Well it's a good thing it wasn't because I didn't make the account, and if the account wasnt properly set up, as it was fraudulent, shouldn't everything after that be null and void???

The Customer stated that Auction fees and the fees of our broker service turned out to be higher than he expected. At the same time before registration all members are informed about our fee rates applied to the purchases. On April 28th 2024 I paid ***** for a truck with A Better Bid car auction as a car broker from copart auctions , vehicle was picked up by delivery driver on the 29 of April 2024 and the truck was damaged while loading at copart , they were supposed to contact me first before delivery if I would except the truck after damage. That was not the case , I was notified of damage after truck was already picked up and on its way , I requested an refund and was told by ****** at ABB to wait delivery and go from there on refund , I talked to A better bid once truck arrived and told them and sent pictures of damage and requested a full refund . She told me one they received truck back which I had to pay 250$ to get it towed to nearest copart auction. They would issue a refund with in 5-7 days its been 21 days and I just now got a refund of 4096 which is 1100$ less than what I originally paid, I have been back and forth and A Better Bid says I cant get a refund on delivery charges which is 1100 because I agreed on truck to be delivered after damage which is not true and have the messages to prove it, ABB doesnt not want to give me my money and keeps blaming me or copart , I have multiple messages from them and them acknowledging that I never agree to. ***** being picked up after damage, I just want my hard earned money back. I wanted to clarify a few points regarding our previous conversations. I believe we previously discussed the buyback and damages related to your vehicle, but not the shipping arrangement.
We would like to bring to your attention that the vehicle in question was damaged by Copart and not by our company. I believe it was Copart that initially brought the damages to your attention regarding your vehicle. The vehicle has been returned to Copart, and as a result, you was entitled to a full refund for the purchase.
To confirm, we did complete the task you hired us to do, which was to pick up and deliver your vehicle.
Additionally, we did not receive any instruction from you not to pick up your vehicle, and if we had received such an order before we picked the vehicle up, we would have respected it. In this instance, we only were notified that the vehicle shoud not had been taken from the yard when it had already left the yard, which made it more challenging to resolve the issue.As we delivered the vehicle to your doorstep, we would like to clarify that our shipping policy is non-refundable in cases where the vehicle is delivered as intended.
We do want to clarify that our shipping policy is non-refundable. We understand that this may be disappointing, but we hope you can appreciate the value we bring to our customers through our services and products. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out.

I am rejecting this response because: I was not notified by anyone that the vehicle was damaged until it was already on route, I did not hire the shipper abb did my payment was made to abb , ABB hired the transportation and I was told by copart that the driver that ABB hired said with out my consent that I excepted the vehicle and to pick it up anyway, I never consented to this nor did I know till after vehicle was already in route, thats when I called copart and was told that the the driver said he had spoken to me which was not true , I dont feel I should have to pay 1100$ for a service I did not agree on , I never told driver to pick it up after being damaged, the driver was hired by abb so I feel its there responsibility

I wanted to reiterate that the vehicle was damaged by Copart, not by our company. If you have any concerns about the handling or notification process, I suggest contacting them directly. As you were not notified of the damage, we were not informed until you contacted us. Therefore, I believe it would be unfair to request a refund for the work we completed.
Additionally, you did hire us for our transport service, and we successfully completed the job as agreed. As I mentioned earlier, if you had asked us not to pick up your vehicle, we would not have done so. Unfortunately, shipping services cannot be refunded.

I subscribed to a premium membership with A Better Bid, believing that it would allow me to preview vehicles at the auction yards without any additional cost. This membership cost me $180.However, upon visiting the auction yards, I was informed that there is an entry fee, regardless of membership status. This means that the premium membership offers no real benefit in terms of yard access, contrary to what I was led to believe and stated online.I have had this membership for only seven days and requested a reimbursement due to the misleading information. Unfortunately, I was told that the membership fee is nonrefundable.I feel that A Better Bid's advertising is misleading and that I was taken advantage of. I purchased a vehicle through auction and paid through bank wire the morning after purchase (the only payment they accepted) After winning the bid I immediately began contacting the company to pick up the vehicle I was told I could not pick up the vehicle and had to arrange shipping. The company affiliated with abetterbid, contacted me and I made arrangements for shipping. I was then told I should have paid for the shipping and the vehicle at the same time with the wire transfer now I would need to wait until the transfer cleared (24 to 48 hours) and I could then pay for it with a credit card. I did so the moment it cleared on their end. I again called their shipping and they said the truck would be shipped the next day. BUT THERE IS NOW A $5.00 STORAGE FEE. because it took longer than 2 days. (Website says you have 3 days) Normally I wouldnt waste my time over $5.00 but this company has tacked on so many hidden fees along the way it is ridiculous. They made it impossible to do anything faster. There were numerous unreturned emails and calls along the way to make certain you cant accomplish getting the shipping arranged in time. Im so annoyed I might even be ***** enough to waste my time and money going to small claims court over $5 and I definitely wound be a customer in the future.Business Response

All shipping costs and other related fees must be pre-paid by the member who requests the shipment. Such fees may include but are not limited to applicable taxes, loading fees, storage costs, export documentation, and key service. In the event that the amount of any such fee is not known until after the shipment has been made, you acknowledge that you will be responsible for reimbursing us for any and all taxes, costs, and expenses we incur in making the shipment. You agree and acknowledge that while we use our best efforts to pick up from Copart facilities any vehicle for which shipping has been requested within the number of days allowed by the Copart facility where the vehicle is located so as to avoid storage fees, we are not always able to do so. Thus, you agree and acknowledge that in the event we are unable to pick up your vehicle within the pickup period, you may also incur a non-refundable daily storage fee at the applicable rate charged by the Copart facility.
We picked up the vehicle next day afterr we received the payment for shipping services. However there were $5 storage fee for the 4th day after purchase.

As the purchased vehicle was never paid for, the relist fee was applied and the security deposit deposit was applied towards the relist fee. I am rejecting this response because:I had requested a refund of my security deposit prior to winning any bid on a vehicle. The business sent me an email notifying me that the refund was being processed. A.BetterBid deliberately misinformed me by sending me said email and due to their misguidance I was unable to finalized the purchase of any vehicle through their website. I put my trust in them as a reputable business, and I trusted the information they provided on email in regards to my security deposit being processed for refund. If the refund had been processed and if I had received it back into my bank account then I would have had the funds to finalize the purchase of the vehicle I was intending to acquire. Trusting this business was definitely my mistake; however due to their true negligence in misinforming the public when it comes to security deposits being processed for refund proves how this business implements tactics that deliberate misguide the general public into unpleasant experiences. I am not the type of person who takes legal action (civil ligation) easily against a business, but when businesses purposely misguide me with misinformation then I am left with no choice than to take all measurements necessary to prevent others from going into similar experiences.

The account is made with *********************** name on it and the ** is uploaded with the same name, email ******************* and the phone number are the same as in this complaint. We have received several emails from ******************* asking about won lot number and security deposit. So if the wallet was stolen than there was email address and the phone number and the robber has access to this email address. Please find attached a copy of email and our Terms and conditions.
