only because you can't give a zero.I buy extra speed just so that I can stream without a problem. I purchased 100 mpbs and it rarely gets over 35. This company should be shut down.

We are sorry you are experiencing difficulties with your streaming services. As an ISP, our goal is to ensure that the service we provide you creates a smooth connection to your online hobbies and interests. As part of this commitment, we have performed several diagnostics on your equipment and communicated with you about our network practices to alleviate your concerns. After conducting diagnostics during your recent interaction with our technician, it was identified that your use of a VPN and third-party IPTV streaming service may be contributing to the reduced speeds you are observing. VPNs can sometimes limit connection speeds due to their own bandwidth restrictions, and third-party streaming services can experience performance issues related to network congestion on their end, especially during peak hours. We additionally offered you an appointment where a technician could go to your home to service and verify any issues you may be experiencing and you declined to have them out. We understand the frustration that you are experiencing and are still eager to assist you in definitely identifying this issue. Should you like to get scheduled for a service call please reach out to our technical support office at ************ option #3.

I am in the same boat as "PD D". I'm considering buying a house in the same community that is served ONLY by Bridgenet. Their price is three times that of my current service in ***** at half the speed. Their maximum speed of 300 Mbps is insufficient for my needs.

We are disappointed to hear that we did not meet your expectations and that this has deterred you from purchasing a new home in ***************. Our pricing is designed to be competitive with other local providers, and we offer additional services and same-day response times that other ISPs struggle to provide. Many of our customers in ****** work from home and our package options provide multiple options to accommodate their needs across many different industries. We regret that we will not be able to showcase to you our many strengths as an ISP, and wish you the best of luck as you find your next home.

I was in process of buying property in ******. However, after comparing Bridgenet against other ISP provider it seems to me Bridgenet is not just three time more expensive but they don't even have high speed data required for people working from home. So, I changed my decision and not going to purchase home that cost $500K and don't have reliable ISP. Thank you all for posting and keeping everyone informed.Where I currently live I have 1Gig speed internet service for only $59.99 and I. hardly have any issue or even had any interruption. Thanks again, you all have saved me from getting into trouble.

Awful, the worst service and company. The star rating should be minus 5 (-5).

First, we want to thank you for being a valued Bridgenet customer. We apologize for the recent chain of issues that have impacted our customers and we understand the frustrations of service disruption and assure you that we are doing everything possible to keep those to a minimum. As we continue to implement significant upgrades to our network to accommodate the growth in our area, we do our best to anticipate all scenarios in which our customers may be subject to an outage. For example, major upgrades and periodic maintenance are reserved for the overnight hours to lessen the impact of service interruptions to our customers. Unfortunately, the nature of these types of significant upgrades and maintenance items makes them susceptible to unexpected or unforeseen disruptions, which can make finding the solution difficult to identify quickly due to the complex nature of our equipment and infrastructure.

Extremely rude technical support. Service dropped to 1.5 mbps (from the stated 100mbps) I asked the support and they said they don’t know what’s wrong and told me to check my email. The email in question said nothing meaningful. Just a standard response of sorry for your issues blah blah. The Rep also wanted to argue how many people it affected (it affected a good portion of the community) to which he told me I’m wrong. I told him we have a community ******** page and loads of people were complaining.

Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with us. We apologize that your communication with technical support was not to your level of satisfaction as we want each interaction with our staff to be a positive one. When you reached out to our office via e-mail we responded to inform you that you were not being throttled as you had suspected and that we do not ever throttle services as part of our commitment to keeping your services independently accessible. We also acknowledged that there were some reports similar to your own that we had passed on to our engineers who were working to identify any issues on the network. When you called later that same day, the total number of reports at that time by phone, e-mail, and your ******** post was fewer than 20. This is why during your phone conversation the technician disagreed with your reports that the entirety of our 6,000+ subscribers were affected. While we place a high value on courteous and respectful delivery, our dispersal of information must be accurately reported to avoid confusing our subscribers. The nature of social media and close-knit communities means that if someone begins to circulate erroneous or inaccurate information this will often spread to other subscribers and cause them to combine unrelated issues. The resultant hesitation can often cause subscribers to delay seeking assistance and lengthen the time in which they are affected. The following day our engineers determined that over 8,000 feet of fiber optic cable had been damaged on a carrier feed and would need to be replaced. This patch of cable ran through a swamp preventing normal excavation techniques and necessitating that the new line be run by helicopter. This has lengthened the process of repairs and we have posted updates detailing this on our greeting and website for full transparency. We will also be issuing a credit to reflect the impacted service. We expect this issue to be fully resolved with these repairs and will ensure that your future communication with our technical support holds up to the standards of courtesy that we value and endorse.
