Spin city wash I *****,fl off ****************I paid for and Washed my clothes then put in dryer. I then asked the attendant if they can pull out of dryer and fold. She said yes and verified that with her manager. At no time did she say the price would be the same as them doing as full service wash/dry/fold and yet when I returned she said it was the price of the full service for folding 36 pounds of already washed and dried clothes. $63 total just to pull out of dryer and fold. She called the manager and the management said the same. This is a SCAM !!!!!! Please address this issue if possible or warn others so they dont get scammed. ThanksBusiness Response

We sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding and frustration you may have experienced. However, wed like to clarify that when you requested folding, the manager informed you that the cost would be the same as our standard Wash, Dry, and ************* and you agreed to this pricing before the service was carried out. We do not offer a separate service specifically for folding clothes only. We always strive to provide clear information and regret any confusion regarding this policy.

On 2/21/2024 I was at Spin City Laundromats Maricamp location in Silver ************* *****, **. One of the dryers caught on fire, destroying several loads of my families clothing. The fire department had to be called to contain the fire.I have a family of five and we lost several clothing items due to this fire. My children lost school clothes to include jackets. I had four loads of clothing. Two of the loads were completely damaged due to the fire and were deposed of by laundromat personal. The other two loads were smoked damaged.Communication with corporate and management has been horrible. I had to reach out to them to begin resolution to this incident. It took them a month and three weeks to make an absurd offer of a $300.00 Spin City credit.Approximately $3,500 dollars worth of clothing was destroyed. I am asking for some type of monetary reimbursement. I have since had to go out and buy new clothing and accept clothing from family members.This fire happened due to their faulty dryer. I could have been injured due to this incident. No one from their company cared enough to even reach or make sure people were okay the day it happened. They were more concerned about the dryer, than checking to make sure everyone was okay and apologizing for the incident. I had to walk up to management and give them my contact information, they were not even trying to find the person whos clothing was destroyed.Business Response

I apologize for the delay in my response concerning the matter of your clothing that was damaged in the fire at our location in the Shores. I have been in correspondence with the owner of Spin City Laundry, who has been in contact with the insurance company and has been waiting for their response. We regret to inform you that the insurance company does not cover self-serve machines, so we can not reimburse your initial request. We do understand that you lost name brand items of adult and childrens clothing. Based on our research, we have determined that the industry standard is ten percent of the clothings new price. We are offering you a Spin City Loyalty card valued at $300.00 that can be used at any of our locations. Please let me know if you would like to accept this offer at your earliest convenience.In addition to our previous responses, we would like to inform you that our maintenance team as well as the fire department determined that the fire was ignited by something flammable in your clothing inside the dryer.
We are still awaiting a response from you concerning the offer of a Spin City Loyalty card.

I am rejecting this response because:
I have a copy of the fire departments report. In this report it was recommended that your company have an electrician inspect the property and have a gas company to inspect lines. In which your business was open the very next morning. There is no mention of nothing being flammable in my clothing. I can provide a copy of this report if needed.

The fire department did not find that the fire was started due to any unsafe condition(s) at our location. They concluded as did we that the fire came from something being put in the dryer. Had there been unsafe conditions the fire department would have shut our location down. The report recommendation is standard by the fire department. We did have the gas lines inspected and a leak test conducted. We also had our electrical system inspected. There were no deficiencies found in any of our systems. We chose to close down overnight in order to allow us time to make sure the location was safe and clean for our customers to return the following morning.
We would like to again extend our offer of a Spin City Loyalty card valued at $300.00 that can be used at any of our locations.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
I do not accept the gift. That is an absolutely absurd offer.I was informed there was only one fire department report which I have. There is no mention of the accusations you are making. This would be in writing from the fire department. I was told the fire department would have put any causes that they found in their report. Again the fire department did not mention anything in the fire report, about anything being flammable in the clothing. However, they did make recommendations for your company to get the electrical and gas lines checked prior to reopening your business.
This incident occurred between 9:30pm and 10:00pm. I would like to know what licensed electrician and gas company came out to have your business open prior to 7:00am the next morning. I would like a copy of those reports as well. If there was no problems found with the dryer, why is the dryer that caught fire and the one below it still out of order today, almost two months later. You also have several other dryers at this location that have been out of order for a while.
I have been in contact with professionals who stated that there could have been multiple reasons for the fire to include the lint traps not being cleaned properly.
The fire was put out with the fire extinguisher prior to the fire department arriving and the fire started again before the fire department could arrive. If it were not for me and another customer the fire could have been worse and caused more damage, we could have just walked out and waited on the fire department. Yet, my family and I are the ones getting burned in this situation.

NO HOT WATER ,NO WARM WATER AND NO WATER COMING OUT OF TOP FOR SOAP FLUSH. EMPLOYEES HAVE BEEN VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL WHEN COMPLAINING . OTHER NOTICEABLE ISSUES ARE : HALF OF DRYERS NOT WORKING , BULLETIN BOARD ISSUES : THROWING PEOPLES INFORMATION IN THE TRASH....GETTING RID OF QUARTER CHANGE MACHINES ? IT NEEDS TO BE NOTICED , I'VE BEEN USING THIS LAUNDRYMAT SINCE THE DAY IT OPENED...NEVER EVER HAD A PROBLEM. DON'T KNOW WHY THIS COMPANY HAS DESTROYED THIS LOCATION. 6-13-22 Did massive amount of laundry at Spin City in Beverly hills fl their large washer took $9.75 and would not turn on. The attendant did something on her phone and then told me to go on line and apply for refund They wrote back saying they were not refunding.
