purchased a puppy for 4429 on 3/02/22, the dog was coughing and we immediately took him to the vet , on 3/10/22 the dog was diagnosed with kennel cough. on 3/10 we filed a claim with chews a puppy. We were emailed and told processing of claims can take 24-48 hours , we contacted chews a puppy 4 times asking when the claim would be resolved , finally we got an answer on march 21st that our claim has been resolved and we will be reimbursed for a portion of the wet bills. We immediately called chews a puppy discussing that based on our contract and the florida state lemon law our dog needs to be returned and our money refunded as they knowingly sold us a sick dog that was not fit for sale. The manager stated that the dog would have had to have been returned within 48 hours of diagnosis . Chews a puppy gave took until the 21st to resolve the claim in an effort to dwell the claim past the point of legally having to refund my money. I filled the claim within 4 hours of the vet diagnosis meeting my obligation of the contract.Business response

I got a phone call from an ad i saw on FaceBook about puppies for sale.11-20-21 I asked if they where akc and they said yes. I went to look at them and they had all the paper work saying they where registed. so i got one. when i got home i tried to register the dog online and found out they are not registered AKC. i immediately called the place where i got the dog and asked for the paper work. they told me the manager would contact me with the info. They did contact me back and told me she is not akc but registered with akr. I told them that is not what i was told and i would like to return the dog. (this all hapened within an hour of purchase) They said i could only return the dog if i paid them another 1800 dollars. I contacted the finance company Lending USA. They told me they have not paid them yet and would reverse charges. Then a manager got on the phone and said they would not do that, because i had the dog. I told them i tried to return the dog, they said they could not help me and i would have to pay for it. I wanted an AKC dog so i could breed her and make back my money. now i am stuck with a dog that i can not register and no one will breed with me. I immediately brought her to my vet and she said she never heard of akr I would like to return the dog and receive a refund Jeff ****** XXXXX ** ***** place rd ********* *** XXXXX XXX-XXX-XXXX ‎12/‎6/‎2021 Just talked to the AKC and they have no idea what AKR is.
