We signed a contract with Barns Of America back in March of 2023. We paid them the initial installment of $12,500 to get started. The first problem we had was trying to get the engineering to draw the barn plan to the code of Lee County. They would not include doors, electrical or plumbing. I had to hire a second engineering company that costed an additional $1,500 plus. Once the company we hired personally review the plans from Barns of America, mistakes were found in the drawings and I had to send them back to Barns of America's engineer for corrections. On March 11, 2023, Barns of America delivered most of our building materials to my property. We paid them an additional $16,150. After we reviewed the delivery based on the building plans, we contacted Barns of America and let them know that di not deliver everything needed for the building. It took 4 additional months before the another delivery was made and still they didn't deliver the rebar needed for setting the poles. ****** told us back in May that are barn would be installed and insisted that we have concrete ready on hand. She told us our barn would be installed install at the end of May. May came and went with seeing anyone from their company. ****** then told me it would be install the first week of June, same thing was said for the second and third week of June. No one showed up to install our barn. I called back in August and could not get a date for the installation from ****** or ****** (****** is the owner of Barns of America). On August 24, 2023, I informed ****** my building permit was going to expire in September because no inspection had been called in for 6 months and that their company had not completed anything. The only reply back from ****** was "okay." I have repeatedly asked for a date of my barn's installation and have not been able to receive a definite answer. It's been almost impossible to receive a call me back from the barn company and provide meaningful updates.
