  This is one of the worst contractors my husband and I have ever dealt with. We had a vanity replaced in our master bath and a small vanity area added. They started the job in October and finished in January (were told 3 wk job at most). We went through 3 GMs, one quit, one got fired and the last guy was able to finish our project. We were lied to throughout the project. Threatened to have subs pulled if we didn’t keep giving them money which we never withheld until the end. We even suggested that we part company with them even after they had most of their money just to end the pain of working with them so we could get a competent company in to finish. They never put up any plastic for dust (we had to do it). Nothing was put on our hardwood floors until we made them put runners down. The whole process was a mess being poorly managed if managed at all. Please think twice before using this company.

  We signed the contract with CMK in May 2023, we are in May 2024 and the bathrooms are still not finished. This project with CMK feels like a nightmare. No communication, multiple project managers, and poor work quality. They have damaged our floor, new toilet, the wall, etc... They had charged us for additional stuff that is not supposed to be changed and replaced, and every time if you question them about it the answer: is " has to be changed per code". They were never able to tell us per what code!! After so many "per code" upcharges, we decided to go to the City and inquire about the codes. None of the changes were necessary. They charged us almost 10.000 dollars for how they quoted "removal fees" for the bathroom when the demo was fully completed before CMK started the project. When we had the bathrooms design everything was great until the work started. The medicine cabinet was supposed to be in the wall they put it on the wall with glue and screws, and the glass came chipped. Vanity drawers are on the wrong side and the wood is damaged, the sink is on the wrong side, so when you wash your face you are hitting your elbow in the wall. So many design flaws, water is leaking under the glass that is sealed, the tiles are too high the water is running under the door because the flap is not deep enough. When they were sneaking down our toilet after installing it they broke off the tip of the snake and left it in with scratching the toilet from the inside. 3 days later water started coming back we couldn't use the toilet. CMK refused to fix it they said that we had a crushed pipe. We paid the plumbing company and they found the cause. CMK did not even try to fix any of these issues, they are threatening us with a line because we made a stop on the work until they fix their mistakes. There is a lot more that I can write about how much this company made our life very stressful, and sad it is that I can tell that we have been disrespected and discriminated!

  Contracted with CMK in June, 2023. We are now in May 2024 and the work is still not done. Simple bathroom reno. The new cabinets look terrible and CMK refuses to work on them until the job is paid for in full. What a horrible experience it has been working with these guys. Daily frustration and no communication. They damaged supply lines in the bathroom TWICE which resulted in water damage to my dining room ceiling and wood floor. Terrible, dishonest company.

  In short...We were promised the best, overcharged for it, and were delivered (mostly) subpar workers and uneven quality....apart from the tile installer who was excellent.Based on these other reviews they have a pattern of "bait and switch" with prices. Suckering you in on a reasonable contract and then adding hefty price increases AFTER you're deep in construction, and desperate for them to do some work. I put a stop to that...with a simple CLAUSE in the original contract...CLAUSE - The price in this contract represents all cost to complete the job, with the exception of subsequent customer changes. All other prices have been calculated according to the agreed upon specifications attached. (Of course...you must carefully review the specifications)THREE TIMES... they tried to upcharge me for items...that any competent contractor...would have known about and already incorporated into the original bid. For instance they wanted to charge exorbitantly for dirt and concrete...to fill in the hole from my demolished sunken tub. Clearly a foreseeable expense, as the removal was SPECIFIED in the contract. The clause above stopped that nonsense.In the end...after extended breaks in work effort, numerous corrections, failure to order parts on time, and several re-dos, and finally... accepting some sub-standard work...the project was finished.

  We hired CMK in August 2023 to complete a full remodel on a pool bathroom. It is now January **** and the project is still not completed. We have been given two different project managers during this time. Some tile on the shower was done poorly and still needs to be redone. The toilet they ordered was incorrect. They advised the toilet was now ordered again only to learn it was not in stock. We are still waiting on this. Communcation is very poor. Many times, we have had to ask when someone is coming to complete the job. Major delays they could have been ahead of. I believe CMK overextends their workers and project managers for their bottom line. They could care less about the customer and doing an excellent job. It is NOT like this is an inexpensive project. We will never use CMK Construction in the future.

  We hired CMK in May 2023 to redo our master bath. The project consisted of redoing the shower, and two vanities. After the demo, the work was poor. Shower floor had to be redone, grout lines in the shower tile were not filled, a cup of grout was removed from the shower drain by me, and the vanities were so poorly installed that I refused to accept them and had another cabinet maker replace them. CMK took no responsibility for the poor workmanship. The project manager was dishonest, crude, and uncaring. Threatened us with lein on our home. This was a poor decision on our part to hire this company. Please hire another company for your bath remodeling projects. ********** 1-12-24

  What an excellent experience!!! Wonderful job from the quote, to the design center, through demo and to completion!!! Project manager, *************************, handled everything and made my kitchen a dream remodel!!! She kept me updated with all the details and scheduling! ****** is simply the best at organizing multiple workers and getting the job done ahead of schedule!   Master Bath remodel came out great. Raised ceilings, converted garden tub to zero entry shower. **************** was PM during last three weeks of project. He was responsible for the punch list and paid attention to detail. ********** was original PM and did a good job as well. All of the *** employees were prompt. courteous, and did good work. The majority of the subs were as well. There was an exception, but the poor work rectified. Good clean up during project and at close-out. Project was completed (demo to final) within the specified timeframe (**** weeks). Of course, you have several months of prep leading up to demo day. Where their hiccups along the way, yes. But they were resolved. Bottomline, I would use *** again.

  From start to finish we had a good experience with CMK constructions for the remodel of our master bath. Our sales rep ***** understood what we wanted and kept to our asks and our designer ***** was fabulous. We had such an easy time picking what we wanted.When it came to the demo and remodel, their team did a great job. The ** ***** was fantastic and kept us up to date on our schedule and was quick to answer our questions and address any concerns. Their team from demo, to tile work, electrical, plumbing and clean up did get work and were professional. Very happy with our experience and look forward to more projects with them in the future.
