Employees in a '24 Nautique Paragon G25 lied about hitting us, on 9/22/24. Damage confirms fault, but MM keeps lying employees, and refuses to fairly compensate damage.

Horrendous and dishonest sales practices at Norwalk, CT Marine Max location, dealing with Gregory H and David. Bought a used 2014 sea ray sundeck 22 foot in a brokerage deal from them in the winter of 2023. As the boat was winterized and shrink wrapped, a survey was not feasible. Upon spring start up, it was discovered by mechanics and myself that the outboard engine was essentially inoperable and needed over 4,000 in repairs. David reached out to me to make the claim that they research and vetted all of their brokerage deals and only sell boats in good working condition and that the previous owner was a respected friend. He then offered to verbally help with a solution to the problem. After I informed him of the accurate diagnosis and the amount of money needed to repair, he informed me that I had bought the bought "in good faith". Scumbags! Stay away from this place if you want an honest and fair buying experience. They are nothing more than sleazy salesman who dont give a **** about their customers.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this review.  For clarification, Mr. ******** bought his boat in a brokerage transaction.  That means that he bought the boat from a private individual.  MarineMax acts as the broker but is NOT the seller.  The seller is a private individual and Mr. ******** can reach out to the seller, if he wants to complain about the condition of the boat.  The sales agreement clearly states that the boat was purchased as a used boat, in "as is-where is" condition.  Prior to closing, there is always an opportunity for due diligence, including a survey, but I understand Mr. ******** decided against hiring his own surveyor.  I also understand that our team in Norwalk reached out multiple times to assist, despite the boat being sold in a brokerage transaction.  We are sorry Mr. ******** is disappointed in his purchase and suggest he review the terms of the sale which are clearly defined in his purchase agreement with the private seller.

Horrible Service Quality and Management at MarineMax, Charleston location Strike 1: Had them install a Garmin 315 VHF radio and the genius technician mounted the handheld on the starboard facing side of the center console. When I asked the manager why they would put it in such a dumb location, he said that they could relocate it but they didn’t have anyone that could patch the original holes. So I ended up buying a new mount and adding another mounting location myself, in a position where I could reach the handheld from the captain seat and see the screen. Strike 2: Had them detail my boat and apply a fresh coat of bottom paint. Detailing was way overpriced for the job they did and they left masking tape everywhere including covering my transducer. Didn't realize tape was covering the transducer until after I returned from a reef and noticed it. Hosed up a day’s fishing trip and luckily their negligence didn’t damage the electronics and result in costly damage. Strike 3: Took the boat in for them to investigate a creaking noise coming from the steering head. They charged me a hour at $200/hr just to look at it and told me that it was “cosmetic” but if I really wanted them to diagnose it, I could pay an estimated 10 hours of labor and gamble on their findings being covered by warranty. I declined and told them that I would deal with the annoying noise until it actually evolved into something that impacted driving. I picked up the boat and that weekend had planned a day on the water with the family and friends. Immediately, after taking the boat off the trailer, I realized that there was no power steering. Another day ruined. Their incompetent technicians neglected to reconnect the wiring harness after looking into the steering noise and left the cover halfway on. Asked for that hour of labor back and a manager to call me about the situation. Cowardly, no response, accountability, and interest in Customer satisfaction.

We are never happy to hear that a customer is not satisfied.  We want to address ****************** concerns but will need some details to move forward.  Which store is ************** working with?  Which boat is being serviced?

      Thank you.
