    I called for Air Service and was told it would be $127 service charge and parts . The tech pulled out a fuse and said jt needed replacing , he said he was going to check outside and spent maybe 10 minutes. total time repair 30 minutes. He refused to give me an invoice at the time and said he had to replace 2 low-voltage wires outside. I just had my bimonthly service down a few weeks ago, and 6 months proper all wiring was replaced and no problems detected. I asked how that could be but he could not come up with a good answer. he was not out there long enough to do anything. I had American air and heat out top check his work and they said maybe he replace a fuse indoors at the air handler. They said a fuse at most be $10 so the total bill should have been $137, not $259, This guy was padding the bill and the office backs this person up. I would never use Aldons again because they are not honest service

    Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/07/01) */ American Air & Heat sold, installed, and recently performed bi-monthly service, to a split a/c system for the owner. Owner stated that he called American Air & Heat on Monday, because his a/c was broken, and they said they could not repair his system until Thursday 2-3 days away.(Note 103 degree Heat Index at the time) The owner called Aldons on Monday around 4:00 p.m. and requested service, we stated that our Service charge is $127.00 plus the repair.(Which we have no idea of, until we complete the diagnostics). This is a split system, so the short can be in the Air handler unit or the out side condenser unit, so it does take time to isolate and repair. 1 1/2 hours roughly. The owner paid the invoice at the time without a question. We have never performed any bimonthly service on this system. I'm sorry that after the owners home was nice and cool, he decided he did not want to pay for it. We email our invoice to save paper, or we will print invoice on request, unless printer was not working at the time. We use large 10"iPads, so customer could clearly see all charges and fee's at the time of service. Included is the signed invoice, and a screen-shot of the appointment showing length of repair time. I did not say they did bi yearly service; I have another company doing that and they gave a clean bill of health 2 weeks prior. The service tech was deceptive, and I would not recommend this company to any senior citizens. He said he replaced 2 burned wires and it was not true, the other company came out and said no new wires had been changed. and he only spent 45 minutes in my house. what he did with the rest of the time who knows? it was not repairing my AC. Aldon's is not to be trusted and i say do not use them.
