I think the business is double dipping,they wanted to charge for shoe modifications when my insurance provider told me they could only charge a $10 co pay. I have filled a complaint with ******** to notify them of this issue. Very slow 3 visits in 3 months and no one said a word about a cash payment until I show up to pick up the shoes,very shady

We did explain this to you in detail before the elevation was put on the shoes. Your insurance company does not pay for elevations. They do pay for diabetic shoes and inserts and that is what would be billed to them. We have been working with these insurance companies for years and they do not cover elevations. The $10 copay you speak of is for the shoes and inserts only. Your initial appointment was 5/3/22 and the shoes and inserts were ready for pickup 6/2/22 and we left you a message to call back for pickup. After 3 attempts to call you for a pickup appointment (leaving messages) you returned our call. Your initial order did not include the prescription for the elevation only the shoes and inserts. As explained to you that had to be requested from the doctor per your request. It was requested and received and with your approval of the out of pocket cost, then added to your shoe. Your behavior in the store (yelling and cursing at our employees and the owner before leaving twice and coming back in yelling a total of three times) made the employees and customers in the store very uncomfortable and with plenty to say about how well you were treated by the owner and our staff during the whole situation. We always try our best to take great care of our customers and treat them with respect and care. To say anything insinuating that we are "double dipping" or doing anything at all unethical is very offensive, untrue and quite disappointing. The elevation is not billed to the insurance company as it is an "out of pocket" expense for the patient. We are a honest company with great customer service and will continue to do our best while serving our customers.
