1 starThey are saying I damaged one of their cars when I did not. they are refusing so show proof to me or my insurance company that any damaged was caused, the only number they are giving me is from their paid for adjuster, they are refusing to show any receipts from the car repair shop they used. they have just sent this straight to a claims agency with no notice to me they have only tried speaking to my insurance company but are refusing to give them proof the car was damaged with no receipts to prove that the car even went to a garage. This company is crooked, the are trying to scam people and send fraudulent charges to people.Review fromKelli W

1 starTruly a slimy business. They snuck in extra fees (including insurance that I had shown the agent multiple times that I had already paid for) so that it more than doubled what I had been told Id pay through *******. I was told ** get some of these expenses back. I got $30 back, not the $100s I expected. There is no way to dispute fees. No direct line to the Orlando location to talk to someone, an email address that people dont actually have access to use, and a comment box that doesnt work. I called the national *** and said you signed, theres nothing we can do. So slimy. The slimiest part of all was the very (seemingly?) kind agent assuaging my fears that this exact scenario would happen and got me to trust her, while she was literally overcharging me.Review fromCarol W.

1 starI give this business zero stars. I had to select 1 in order to submit a review.Advantage Rent A Car in Orlando, ** charged my credit card $1,000 for two blown out tires. Advantage referenced the charge on my Rental Record receipt as "counter damages." I need an itemized receipt from the repair facility to validate the charge. I have made numerous unsuccessful attempts through Advantage **************** to get the ******************** office to provide an itemized receipt. They do not follow up to any of my requests or requests from my State Farm agent or credit card company.Review fromAndrew N

1 starThey will exploit any item in the contract they can, if you do not pick up and drop off and the exact times of the contract you will be charged extra. I had a 5 day reservation for a week rental. A flight delay caused me to arrive after the facility closed, I called when my flight was delayed and was told the reservation would be fine the next day. I should have listened to my gut that the customer service *** did not know what they were were talking about (The agent at the counter then told me that was not true and they automatically cancel them after an hour as no show). I went the following morning but this changed my booking to 4 days at a higher daily rate. The counter agent did not disclose this at pickup, they do not show you any documentation until after they have you sign the contract (me thinking it was the same as the reservation confirmation) and it is emailed. The change in pickup time also changed my return to match the 7AM time, not the original booked time (which also was not disclosed) and the agent actually said if I dropped off by 8 I would be fine for getting to the airport on time. As others said they also charge for insurance and tolls even if you don't need insurance and have your own toll pass. My original booking was for Thur at 11PM to Tues at 9AM for $200, in the end I picked up on Fri at 7AM and returned on Tues at 8:30AM and it cost $500 When I called to complain, they said it doesn't matter what I was told by an employee, I signed a legal contract and then they hung up on ******** I used my rental for less time that I originally booked it for at cost 2.5X the costReview fromDonald T

1 starSame deceptive and up charging that others have reported in 2 important areas. First, after the rental was returned they added Emergency Road Service that I didn't need or want as the credit card I used has such coverage without added cost, I have AAA which provides this service, and my State Farm insurance also provides such service. Secondly, as others reported they told me I could not use my ******* for tolls because if I did they would hit me with a $50 penalty for every toll plus the actual toll charge even though I would have paid the toll using my transponder. They told me to bury my SunPass in my suitcase. However, this never happened with any other rental car company before or after. The charge was supposed to be $103 for 4 days in the smallest car they have and the bill ended up being ******, $84.96 more which is upcharges of 82%, almost DOUBLE the orginal quote. Needless to say, I will NEVER rent a car from these crooks again!Review fromLouis C

1 starAdvantage uses deceptive pricing practices to lure customers to their company. I was quoted $235.63 for an 8 day rental. After they told me I could not use my ExPass for tolls & tacked on roadside assistance without my knowledge the final cost of the rental was $346.81. That is more than 1/3 of the quote I received & more than $100 of additional costs. Advantage said that because they are off airport property I could not use my EzPass for tolls & said if I did they would hit me with a $55 penalty for every toll plus the toll even though I would have paid the toll using my transponder. I was not able to verify the veracity of this. Last time I went to ******* in October I rented a car from Budget & used my transponder with no issues. I am not convinced that they were telling me the truth & nailed me for over $100 from their original quote for the rental. I will NEVER rent a car from these crooks again!Review fromDonna M

1 starOriginal cost for car was $237 for four days had to extend my rental five extra days charged me an extra $485. I asked gentleman how much the rental per day was which it was $22.50 well that would be only $115 where is the other $365 I asked him he said it was taxes and fees. I asked him what the taxes and fees broke down were I was told he was not allowed to talk to me on the phone about taxes and fees so theyre gonna charge me $485, and Im not knowing what I am paying for I will never ever rent from this **** a** company Again! Renter, beware!Review fromSherita F

1 starSCAM SCAM SCAM . PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE!!!! If I could give a zero stars, I absolutely would.I was assessed a $331.95 cleaning fee on 11/11/2024 upon returning the rental. I was charged the fee without any contact or documentation from the company. I contacted the company to verify the charges and to obtain a detailed receipt but was not provided one. I explained that the charges were excessive compared to the condition of the vehicle when I returned it. I requested proof of the visual inspection and was advised that there were NO pictures on file or details to validate the cleaning fee. I spoke to Mr. ******* who indicated that the inspection is completed off site and cleaning fees are assessed by the employee checking in the car. I advised Mr. ******* that the car was returned WITHOUT excessive dirt, trash, spills, pet hair, mud tracks or stains. There was also no form of odor or excessive dirtiness beyond normal usage/wear for 5 day agreement. I GUESS WHOEVER vacuumed the car didnt want to work that day. I called back an additional time on 11/11/24 to request a receipt of the cleaning fee charges as I was not given any documentation. I was advised that once cleaning fees are assessed documentation is not sent out to renter. I was advised that I would need to request documentation from the branch manager. I requested to have a copy sent to my email and it has not been received. The initial authorization amount plus $500 deposit was released and finalized on 11/9/24 but on 11/11/24 additional charge of $331.95 was authorized without any explanation.I was told I would be contacted by the branch manager at ***************************** ************************************************** location but have received any response.Review fromDavid B

1 starTerrible experience. We had to take 2 separate shuttles to get to the office for pick up from the *****************. We waited in line for over an hour to pick up our car. When we got to the desk they said they would charge us additional for insurance if we did not provide them with our insurance card. I provided my insurance card to them so that we would not be charged. We paid in full then after we returned the car we saw additional charges that they are now claiming is for insurance???
