Upon arriving to the rental car location on November 3, 2024, I was told by the person at the front desk several pieces of misinformation. First, he said if I did not buy the sunpass there was a ***** administrative fee for each toll I passed through. He also stated that I could not pay online with my own sun pass account. Both of these things turned out to be false. Not only does sun pass allow you to add a rental car on the account, but the fee is $10 for the entire time plus the toll. He said so youre mad we are charging you less? No, Im mad that I was lied to in order to sell me additional services, which I was happy I declined after seeing the real fees.For insurance, I was told multiple times I had to pay for it. I asked if there was any other options or a way not to pay for a higher deposit. He told me I absolutely needed this insurance. When I got in my car I realized that I signed something that stated I was given a brochure that went in detail about the coverage. I had to go back inside to get this document. Eventually I asked enough questions that he told me I did not need the coverage if I had my own, I just needed to pay a higher deposit. I paid the $2,000 deposit and I was refunded for the insurance that I did not need, but had I not gone inside to find out more info I would have been charged for this.Upon dropping the car off on November 9, 2024, I was given a receipt that clearly shows that I am due my $2,000 deposit and was told it would be processing. To date, I am still owed this deposit. I have attempted to dispute with my credit card, but not had success.Initial Complaint

Usave car rental booked online, called the day before to confirm they would use my insurance so I did not have to buy there's. was told it was a 250 deposit to do that. When I arrived at the offsite car rental place and was stuck there, they proceeded to tell me they would not use my insurance and I had to buy theirs. After fighting that they then said they could do it but it would be a 2000 dollar deposit that would get returned to my cc after the car was returned. The car has now been returned for 2 weeks and no deposit credited back and they give me the run around when calling them, if they answer the phone at all.Initial Complaint

They advertised a set price for car rental. When I reached the counter they wanted to verify my insurance through a thrid party of their choice which purposefully did not work for me or the rest of the customers in line. They wanted to charge $25 a day because this verification process did not get through. Additionally, they wanted to charge $15 a day to use toll by plate plus tolls fee. Class of car ( SUV) was not available even though I checked in on time for my reservation and they offered me a sedan for the same price although on their site it says that its a different class car and cheaper. Overall, this business is not truthful and engages in deceitful practices to scam consumers. Probably the reason why theyre not allowed at the airport. Just now I looked at my bank transactions and they charged $50- I did not pick up the car and cancelled on the spot.Initial Complaint

On October 18th we returned a rental car. We were owed a $250 deposit and there was no reason to keep it. On 11/1 I called to ask where my deposit was and an employee apologized and told me he was issuing it and I should see it in 24 hours. By 11/4 I still did not receive it so I called again, this time the employee just kept saying he was going to email me a detailed invoice which I also never received even after he verified the email address to me. He hung up on me and then let the call go to voicemail when I tried him back.I then called the company's customer service number and spoke to a *** who called the store for me and spoke to the owner. The owner told her she was personally releasing the deposit and I should see it in the next couple of days, now on 11/13 I still do not have it.The owner of the store text me while I was on the line with corporate and asked how she can help. I asked about my deposit and gave her our names and she just stopped responding immediately. I have the texts to prove it and I have an email ticket that customer service created today stating the owner told her she would issue the refund on 11/4.Initial Complaint

I booked a car rental through my **************** travel site with unlimited miles to travel to another state from *******. When I arrived to pick up the car, the agent said that we can only drive 75 miles per day due to having a Florida drivers license. I showed my reservation that was booked as unlimited miles. They said that its their policy even though there is no information regarding that policy on the site or during the reservation. We didnt take the car and cancel the reservation. Now they charged me $50 saying that we didnt show up at all. This company is fraudulent and deceiving. The reservation was from 8/29/2024 and 9/02/2024. They charged me on 9/2.Initial Complaint

7/20/2024, 8:29am. Reference #GUN2189714 I rented a car from U-Save car and truck rental and was advised by the agent if I wanted to waive paying for one pass and pay for or avoid tolls to sign the waiver to do so. He (the manager) did not advise if I waived and passed through a toll that I would have to pay a $29 fee plus taxes for each toll pass. This was misleading and unfair business practices and I advised them of the same upon returning the car on 7/22/2024 and was advised that they couldnt do anything about it since their toll fees are processed through a third party. I requested a contact and number to call on my complaint and was given a business card and was advised not to call until it was processed because they may not charge the $29 fee. I feel that this company prey on tourist and conduct unfair business practices and I request the $29 fee plus $5.31 tax to be reimbursed!Initial Complaint

On 6/16 I picked a rental for Usave rental car in **********. I had made previous reservations with Priceline. My estimate amount was $123 and some change for 5 days. When I walked out I ended up pay over $300 for my rental more than twice they estimated. I was forced to use their insurance due to the fact that I had used my debit card. I was told that in order for them to except my debit cards I either had to pay a fee of 30 something dollars or get their insurance. Which I was unaware of due. There was no stipulation on the Priceline site explaining anything of the sort. I felt taken advantage of. I felt that this was very predatory and since I was with my children I had no choice. We came all the way from ** we dont know anyone or anything about *******. Also I asked about the fact that we had a round trip ticket does that matter as far as the debit card was concerned. They told me not in ******* but they do it in *****. Once I got home I called to request to figure the situation out with this company and I havent heard anything back from them and it has been over 10 day. I am very disappointed.
