I visited a website that looked like it was the venues own website. The ******************. I purchased three tickets for a little over $400 and after I clicked the payment I was directed to a confirmation page that said Id been charged over $1700. I had a friend go through the steps and discovered this wasnt the venues website and the system of buying these tickets was very deceptive in its presentation of what I was signing up for. Im very angry as this is a too much money for my household and even right away I could not get a refund.I feel Ive been cleverly scammed.Business response

Once the customer selected the event they were interested in, Justice, they navigated to the ticket listing page. The top of this page clearly notifies customers, We are a resale marketplace. ********************** prices may exceed face value. This site is not a primary ticket seller or box office.. After customers select the ********************** listing they desire, they are directed to the checkout page. Here, customers are provided with an order summary that displays the event details, ticket location, and price per ticket. The customer was prompted to provide an email address and select a delivery method. After a delivery method is selected, the customer is able to see a complete itemized breakdown of the customers order including the price per **********************, all fees, and the total price of $1,727.94 was displayed in bold text on the right-hand side of the page. This third party ticket seller allowed me to purchase five tickets to a concert. Now theyre telling me that purchasing that many tickets is against their policy. But they wont cancel the order. Also, in the initial order confirmation, they said my tickets will be available special delivery the day of the event. Seems fishy.Business response

On 1/28/25 I purchased tickets to a concert, ****** Mannequin at The Pageant on Monday, June 16, 2025. I was unaware that this was a ticket reseller. The price I was quoted per ticket was $106. After clicking through the full purchase cost was $453.53. The $110 service fee is exorbitant and the price listings deceptive. The concert is not yet on sale, I realize now. And I have no ticket or e-ticket yet. Given that I have not received the tickets I paid for, I would like a full refund immediately. Their customer, the seller, still has plenty of time to sell these tickets.Business response

Transaction 12/9/24 Purchased 2 tickets to the ************* at $175 each. Prior to purchasing the tickets, there was no viewable cost for me see and accept as the service charge. Only after purchasing the tickets and sending an email for explanation was I able to see the service fee of $114.62. Had this fee been presented prior to purchasing the tickets, I would likely not have purchased them. My sole problem is that the customer is not able to see exactly what the service fee is until after the tickets are purchased. The customer is not given a choice as to whether they accept the fee and wish to pay it. I feel that this practice is deceptive to consumers and that there were laws in place against these undisclosed fees. Either way, I have accepted the tickets. I hope that this practice of undisclosed fees can be better regulated, or laws put in place to protect the consumer from being robbed like I was in the future. Subtotal (Ticket Price): $175.00ea X 2 = $350.00 These below fees were not made available for me to see or agree on until after the sale was complete and I emailed the company asking for an explanation. Delivery Fee: $7.50 Service Fee: $114.62 Sales Tax: $0.00 Order Total: $472.12Business response

Bought tickets to a concert 2 weeks before event. They were deposited by Ticketsonsale.com into the phone application. The tickets were in the app the night before. I checked. The day of the event, 12/15, we were in line 1 hour before the event started. I opened the phone app to get to the tickets for entry and they were gone. Not there. I called Ticket master and they said I need to call Ticketsonsale since it was their sale. Now we are 30 minutes from start of show. I called Ticketsonsale and was on hold up until 5 minutes before event started. I had to hang up to buy another set of tickets at event counter to get in. Ticketsonsale is not refunding my money because they say I did not call them the day of event and try and sort this out. Total CRAP!! I explained the situation and they still said no. This is as plain as day this is purposfull FRAUD!!! This company should be thoroughly investigated!!!Business response

It should be noted that Tickets On Sale is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate ticketsinstead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers.
During the checkout process, customers are able to view the delivery format for their tickets. The selection the customer made was electronic transfer, where sellers transfer the tickets using the platform that the venue has issued tickets through. Customers receive an email with instructions on how to access their tickets, as well as a separate email which contains a link to claim their tickets, advising them to do so. If a customer does not see the transfer that was sent to the email address they provided at checkout, the email they received with instructions on how to access their tickets advises them to contact the customer care team immediately. Furthermore, if customers encounter any issues with accessing their tickets through their link, they are welcome to contact the care team for troubleshooting.
On 12/16/24 our customer service agents spoke with the customer, who explained that the *********************** were cancelled prior to their event which took place on 12/15/24. The records indicate that the original ticket transfer was sent to the email address on file on 12/1/24 and no issues were detected. Please note that had our customer contacted our customer service team prior to their event regarding their tickets no longer being in their account, we could have attempted to troubleshoot further to resolve the matter. However, as we do not hold any inventory of tickets, we needed to open an investigation with the seller to get more insight. At this time, we have documentation showing the tickets were claimed by our customer's email address on file. As such, we maintain the customers order was successfully fulfilled and aligns with the Buyers Guarantee.
Prior to receiving this claim, we thoroughly discussed this matter with our customer and we maintain that our customer has received valid *********************** for their event, aligning with our terms. As such, we consider this matter resolved. If our customer has further concerns regarding their tickets after their event, we encourage them to contact our customer service team.

I am rejecting this response because: Their claim is absolutely false! The tickets were transferred to the Ticket Master platform which is what they use. As a customer, you have no choice. I accepted the tickets on 12/1 and then the tickets were transferred to my account on 12/2. I checked every few days and they remained in my account. I last checked my account on the evening of 12/14, the night before the event just to make sure everything was ok, tickets were there. The day of the event, 12/15, I checked about 5 hours before the event, which was around 9am. The tickets were there in the account still. The event was at 2:30 pm on 12/15. We drove to the event and got in line as the doors were not open yet. It is now around 1 - 1:30pm. I go to the account once again on my phone, because they make it very clear you need to use the electronic ticket as entry, and the tickets were not there. They were cancelled and the tickets went back to Ticketsonsale.com. So they, and only they had the capability to cancel my tickets and take them back right before the event started. I called Ticketmaster and even though it is their platform, they made it very clear that Ticketsonsale controls these tickets. This is absolutely a scam!!!! They are lying to you. I can even send you a receipt for the tickets I had to buy at the event, at the ticket sales booth. I was talking with some of the event employees once we got inside, and they even said they have been hearing alot of this problem later. Bottom line, Ticketsonsale is scamming peopleand the worst part about this is they refused to refund my $$$$$ because they said I should have called them. I did!!! The day of the event, which now is only about 30 minutes before the event started, and no answer at all. When I eventually got a hold of them the following day, the guy on the phone refused to forward me to a manager, and actually said to me, "Looks like you had an unlucky day" and hung up. 100% this company is a fraud!!
Sincerely,
***** ******Business response

Thank you for responding. As previously stated, our records indicate the original ticket transfer was sent to the email address on file on 12/1/24 and no issues were detected. Therefore, we are unable to offer our customer any compensation, as we provided valid tickets in time for their event, abiding by the agreed upon terms. It's important to note that once the customer claims the ********************** transfer, which we have documentation our customer did, the seller no longer has access to the tickets.
We regret our customer's experience at the event, however had we been informed of the issue prior to the event, our team would have assisted our customer in accessing their ***********************, but they contacted us the day after. In addition to this claim, our customer filed a financial dispute, which was resolved in their favor, thus they will be refunded by their financial institution. As such, we consider this matter closed.
