Spent 3 hours in the service department for an oil change. Got nothing done. I asked the service manager every 1hr about it and they never explained what was going on with my car. After 3 hrs. I asked them to give me my vehicle back because I had to go to work. They finally gave it back, as I was leaving, I checked the oil cap on top of the motor, and it was not in its place, and they didn't even do the oil change. ****** Maintenace rep. told me they were almost done with it the first time, then he never responded my texts, when I went to his booth he left running. After that he was nowhere to be found and the mechanic ******* was walking around not doing anything. I bought 3 vehicles from this place, and they have never treated me like this. I will never be coming back to this dealership ever again and I will not refer this place to anyone. While waiting on the waiting room, I started to get nervous because I heard a lady speaking on the phone saying she got a brand-new motor in her vehicle in that shop, and they forgot to put water in the radiator and the 2nd engine broke as well. That's why I checked on my engine oil level and cap. Be very careful when you drive out of this place.Review from Kris R

Liars, they will entertain you, they will waste your time (months) to avoid responsibility for their defective engines. Yes, another Hyundai shut down in the middle of a highway and had to be towed to Universal Hyundai, we waited over 3 months, going back and forth with the dealer and customer service, everyone avoiding accountability. Finally we got an answer Im sorry, theres nothing we can do. Really?Review from Francisco M

I had a lease with them that I wanted to buy in cash at the end of my lease. The lease holder said that I needed to go to them and get a ** to finish the transaction . The salesman, manager gave me the run around and at the end they told me that I will get the ** from them only if I will finance with them only or if not, that I will be charge a dealer fee for the work with is around $1,100.00. At the beginning of the lease I paid them a dealer fee and I of course, finance with them. They told me to go to another dealer and get it done there.I did go to around 6 different Hyundai dealers and none of them wanted to just give me the **, they wanted either, finance or charge me the dealer fee... take it or leave it!At the end I was forced to purchase a new vehicle thru another dealer just to have that of my credit. That cost me necessary money to be paid. This company is very poor... a lots of low life liars, from the salesman to the managers. The reason to have it finance there is something that is called "Sell rate", in ******* you are allowed a Dealer to sell the interest rate above what the bank is giving you (Buy Rate) for up to 2%. So a person with great credit, if the dealer run the credit and can give you a 5% (Buy Rate), then the dealer could give you up to 7% rate (Sell Rate). That 2% over the "Buy Rate" is profit for the dealer. I lease so many cars from them and they never mention this to me.Review from Tanja C

This dealership sold me a 2 year old used car for practically the same price of a new one after they added all the unnecessary add-on's that they had told me was included in the original price. They said they couldn't get me into the new car because no bank would finance that amount and keep me in the monthly payment I wanted. However, by the time they tacked on all the add-on's (that would not have been included with a new car) the bank financed the new car price amount anyway, and at a higher monthly price that I wanted! They then proceed to do the financing electronically and send me off with a flash drive so that I didn't see the bottom line of what I actually financed until it was too late. I then found out that I could have declined electronic signing that ****** the finance manager told me I couldn't because it's how they do things now. Fast forward 3 months, I find out that I could cancel all the extra junk they sold me and get a pro rated refund. I also find out that they were going to give me a hard time because that is where they make their money, (hence why they rather sell you a used car). I call all of the junk product companies to find out the process. They tell me what I need to do and how much is owed to me. I did all of it and they approved it. Now it is up to this stupid dealership to give me my refund so I reached out to them. I e-mailed ****** the finance manager all the paperwork and he ignored it. I then e-mailed him again with **** the general manager included in the e-mail and they ignore it again. So I e-mail ****** again this time mentioning that I would hire a lawyer if I had to. Now he responded! He then forwarded the information to some woman named *******************. I gave her 4 days to respond but I didn't hear from her. I sent her an e-mail asking for an update and here I am 5 days later and still no response. Unfortunately, I don't ever want to do business with Hyundai again because of this bad experience with them.Review from Beth B

My daughter’s 2016 Hyundai Veloster Shut down and had to be towed to Universal Hyundai. Her car sat there for an entire week before being looked at. When she purchased the car, she had a seven year warranty. When they finally diagnosed the car it totaled over $2000 but due to our warranty we had to pay $713. 30 days later her car shuts down again. Once again, they said it would take about a week that they had 15 cars ahead of her and now it has been nine days we just called them and they’re saying it could be another week because they have 10 cars ahead of her. Dustin who works in the service department seems uncaring as the company does too. We’ve had to rent a car which has cost us money.. he also stated he is understaffed like every other company. But what really upsets us is he’s taking cars in that don’t have appointments while my daughters car sits in the parking lot in the back. This kind of customer service is ridiculous. Although they mention on the recording That it’s important that their customers are happy. We have been going to Hyundai ever since she purchased this car and to treat the customers as poorly as they have treated us is extremely disappointing. After reading the numerous complaints 3,790 to be exact, you would think that someone would pay attention to the complaints and try to change the way they were handling their customers. Unfortunately every time I have asked for a manager they don’t send me to one and try to tell me how their system works. I would suggest anyone that has a problem with Hyundai in Orlando on Orange Blossom Trail go somewhere else.Review from Vincent M

I recently explored several automobile dealerships within the Orlando vicinity, enticed by their low advertised prices. However, upon visiting each dealership, I was met with disappointment due to their misleading tactics and pricing strategies. Fortunately, our journey led us to Universal Hyundai in Orange County, Florida, which stands head and shoulders above the rest. This dealership distinguishes itself by a remarkable degree. Every member of their team, from salespersons to staff, exudes a truly professional demeanor in both appearance and the execution of their responsibilities. Notably, Jonathan, the finance manager, displayed a remarkable level of transparency regarding the pricing and any associated additional costs. This experience was refreshingly devoid of gimmicks, deception, or the imposition of unconventional dealer fees. The approach was simple: the price was presented straightforwardly, leaving us with the choice to accept it as is or explore other options. Opting for the exceptional deal has resulted in my daughter's satisfaction with her purchase.Universal Hyundai Response

Don't buy from this place. The salesperson was nice the whole time but that is a wolf in sheep's clothing. I came in with a pre-approval but he kept insisting that he could get a better rate. We accepted and we were turned down by other banks. I told him just use capital one since were pre-approved. He came back that we were approved. What he didn't say was by who. Which was at 11% from 5/3 bank. When I went home I found out why they didn't want to use capital one. Because the price of the car was only worth $13,000-15,000. They sold it to me for $19,000. So now I have a crappy loan interest and I overpay. Don't be a victim and go somewhere else.Review from Marcus J

Service team is untrustworthy and does not care about their customers. Does not care about customer satisfaction. Vehicle needed a repair that was to be covered under my warranty. After the work began an issue was discovered with the name on my warranty. PER A SERVICE MANAGER'S SUGGESTION, I paid for the repairs out of pocket with the promise of reimbursement once the issue was resolved with no mention of a deadline to file. Almost a year later, the issue with my warranty has long since been fixed but no reimbursement from the service team has been issued. A 90 day deadline on filing for reimbursement was mentioned by the service team after several discussions with corporate Hyundai. This was the first time such a deadline had been brought to my attention. Posted a review on ****** and received an owner reply within 12 hours with an email to contact to discuss further. Have since sent 4 messages to that email and have yet to get a reply. Very upsetting to see the brand I have been loyal to for nearly 10 years treat their customers with such poor service.Review from Angela M

My husband traded in his 2015 Accent for a 2017 sold to us by Jacob. A week after the purchase the alternator died on my husband's way to work in Daytona. He had to have it towed to a dealership over there but for some reason they couldn't find his information in their system for any warranty information and charged us for a battery just to do a diagnostic that we also had to pay for. So we had to have it towed all the way back to Orlando from Daytona to get the alternator replaced at no cost. At about 3 weeks later, the car won't accelerate past 25-30mph. We take it again to the dealership early in the afternoon. We were hoping whatever was wrong was under warranty but yet again, no one could find our info. When we finally got that straightened out, we were told by our advisor, Manny that the car may not be checked because it was so late in the afternoon but they would call with more info. Come the next day, after 3 calls/messages to the service center (no call backs until later that afternoon) and corporate, my husband finally was called to be told it was that catalytic converter and it would cost $2455! And it wouldn't be covered by our warranty because it usually a scheduled maintenance. Why would I get scheduled maintenance on a car I've only had for 35 days?! I said ABSOLUTELY NOT and took the car home but I still had to pay $100 for the diagnostic. We found a better and honest service shop. We will never purchase or service another vehicle at Universal Hyundai again!Review from joshua o

On july 2022 I went into this dealership to look for a 2022 Sonata Hybrid. I had already spoken to a sales person here before and was ready to put down a deposit. The trim was for the SEL. Come to find out they had MARKET up the price more than $5K of the market value. I called the sales and told them that I changed my mind and for that price I would pay just a little more for the top end Limited edition. They had me sign a form that said that my deposit would not be refundable. It somes pretty shady that they are in the business of keeping peoples deposit vs selling cars at a fair market value. I called today and spoke to Carlos( one of their sales managers). I explained that I was able to find the car that they claimed did not exist and would take 2- 3 months to arrive in florida( this was last friday) and now thursday less than a week later I was able to buy the sonata Limited from another dealership for almost the same price they wanted to sell the SEL edition.
I asked Carlos for my deposit back and even though the car they ordered for me was sold right away, he claims that it cost them time to sale it and that I wouldn't receive my $500.00 deposit back. I'm still not sure if they really think that this it the way to do business. But HOW MANY DEPOSITS are they stealing from people, when they didn't deliver the car they asked for????
I still EXPECT my deposit BACK.
DO THE CORRECT THING!!!!!
I really do not want to have to write to Bill **** CEO of Universal Hyundai, However He may not know that his company is being ran so indecently.
IS there a Way to give them A NEGATIVE STAR rating??? And I had bought a New Sonata Sport, paid all cash back in 2018 with no problems. WAY to TREAT REPEAT business.
