    I have front yard re sided by another company and Best Pest control was recommended for the maintenance, I called them they came we agreed to his quote which was $360 in the month of June, I paid them they came out and treated the new grass with weed killer only it killed my new sod I call back and they told me that the sod already had weeds in it I then called the guy who installed the grass and he said they sprayed the wrong stuff so they came back and bought out one plot of grass to replace the 1 part of grass that died and said he would be back but never came back. Later the company refunded me only $90 back. The guy they sent out was rude and very argumentative and I requested he leave and dont come back. In conclusion even if I dont get anything else back in form of monetary value, that people need to be aware of people like this who doesnt stand by their own business practices.

    Thank you for your concern and contacting us.

    On 6/9/23 Service was started on customers lawn.

    On or about 8/17, the technician meet the customer  because he reported we burnt his lawn 2 months prior.  Tech tried to explain to MR if we burnt the lawn it would show up right way and not several weeks later.  Technician noted the customers irrigation was not working properly.

    On 8/23 a manager meet with customer to discuss the dead grass.  Manager tried to explain to customer the dying grass was not from anything we sprayed but it was dying from the lack of hydration.  During this meeting the customer became irate and instead of arguing with the customer the manager told the customer he would replace roughly ten pieces of grass and showed the customer the exact specific location he would replace.  At this point both the customer and the manager agreed. 

    On or about 9/8 the manager and technician replaced the ten pieces of grass for the customer.  At this time the customer demanded more areas be replace at which point the manager told the customer no but if he had left over grass from another job he would bring it by as a favor.  There was no left over grass.

    On or about 10/19 the customer called again saying we now killed the new grass that we had just put down.  This further underscores the fact that there is a moisture issue where the grass was replaced and died.  We spray the entire yard when we treat lawns, not just a small portion.  If we were to burn the lawn we would have burnt the entire lawn, not just a spot here and there.  Furthermore, no other lawns treated that day by the same technician were reported as burnt or dying from the technicians application.

    On or about 10/24 customer called again to say we burnt the new sod so we scheduled a different manager to evaluate.  

    On or about 10/26 additional manager inspected the lawn and dead grass and determined the grass died from a lack of moisture while grass was getting established.  This manager was also the representative that originally signed customer up for service.  Manager reports the dying areas, thin areas and excessive weeds were already an issue in his area of concern.  Manager tried to explain that to the customer but the customer did not want to hear that.  He told the manager to cancel the service and the manager told him we would refund his remaining money on the account of $90

    On or about 11/4 the $90 refund was issued back to the customers visa.

    The amount of $360 the customer filed on this complaint was the amount the service would cost for an entire year of service not just one treatment.  Best Pest Control correctly refunded the remained credits on this customers account,

    It should be noted, when Best Pest Control sprays a lawn, the entire lawn is spray.  If there was chemical burn from the treatment, the entire lawn would be burnt.  The products sprayed on the grass do not just randomly kill spots here and there.

    Best Pest responded to customers home more than 7 times in 4 months, Best Pest also tried to make the customer happy by giving him grass even though we did not kill the grass.  Lastly, Best Pest Control refunded the remaining money on customers account after it was agreed to cancel the service.

    Best Pest Control has bean treating my lawn since 12/16/21. I now have extensive insect damage in all of the typical areas this time of the year (In places that get full sun, on edges and corners near the heat from the concrete etc.) On 9/7/22 I sent them an email with a dozen photos showing said damage. I received a call from their lawn supervisor which I missed but called back within a few minutes, and I was told that he had stepped out. I called back the next day and was told that he is not in. I sent additional photos of said damage on 9/12/22 when he called me and after several minutes on the phone agreed to issue a full refund and sent me a confirming email stating that I would receive said refund, the last unpaid treatment would be waived, and my service would be canceled. On 9/20/22 I sent an email asking for the full refund. I received no reply and no refund.

    Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/09/28) */ Customer contacted by supervisor on 9/12 at 9:52 am. The call resulted in parting ways and customer was advised of future issuance of refund. Customer advised that accounts receivable processes refund. Refund was issued early afternoon on 9/23 at which customer was notified at 3:42pm. Typical refunds take between 10-14 days from initial request depending on credit card processing. Best Pest acted timely and professionally in all accounts with this transaction and account has successfully been refunded and closed. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/10/04) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I was never told that it would take 10-14 days to receive my refund. Furthermore, I have never in my entire life had to wait 10-14 days to receive a refund based on credit card processing. I contacted them on 9/20/22 asking for the refund they said they would issue on 9/12/22 and never received a reply. Only after I filed the complaint with the BBB did I receive the refund. Clearly not timely or professional in any way.
