Our car was illegally repossessed a week ago from today's date 1/24/25. Through the week we have provided information that shows payments made to keep our vehicle up to date with the lean holder. Today this company ,b&p auto recovery is refusing to look at the paperwork in hand and refusing to give us our 2017 **** x. We have spoken to the lean holder who has confirmed our payments are up to date and the information should have already been processed to b&p. I have no clue as to why they keep refusing to return our vehicle to us when we have proof of payments. The manager of the company insist on that we only set up an appointment to remove our belongings. She refuses to hear anything that my husband or I have said and is under the impression that we have not followed to proper protocols to retrieve our vehicle. We have called our lean company over the week to not just verify our information but to have it sent to them as well. We are in process of finding a lawyer for this as well due to the time loss we have had because our vehicle has been illegally repossessed. They have threaten me with trespassing even though I have business with them. There doing everything in their power to keep my vehicle and I need a resolution.Attached will be photos of the up to date payments on the vehicle and many phone calls we have made to our lean company Santander ************** to resolve the issue. My truck was repo on Thursday morning around 3:30 a.m figured because of my bill overdue called then to my financial to make payment but wasnt able to because the system was down so i called Friday morning and made they payment of 2883 wasnt able to get the truck because of some insurance information so the weekend came on monday january ******* was close cause of a holiday so i called in Tuesday January ******* got approved for pick up and made arrangements with b&p auto recovery made my appointment January 22, 2025 at 3:15 pm when i went to pick it up saw that had some light on the dashboard, didnt want to brake well and didnt even had no brake fluid so i checked every side of the brakes and saw that back driver side brake was leaking and saw that it has some damages and also the rim like it was scraped with something hard ( which i believe was when they put it in the tow truck ) i told them whenever i was taking it home there in b&p recovery but they told me to make the claim and didnt care about nothing just gave me a paper and thats it main part is the brakes that arent workingBusiness Response

My 2016 ******** CTS was repoed on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024. I paid the amount due the same day. I made an appointment to pick up my vehicle Monday, September 16th. This business has 1431 ******* **. *********, FL on their site as an address having individuals thinking that's their location when that's where they're known to pick mail up at. Exact address of business is **********************************************. At approximately 11:50 a.m. was my time of arrival at the business actual location. They stated since I don't have an appt. I was unable to pick up my vehicle. I told them amount due was paid in full and the ************ sent them the paperwork yesterday. I told them I have personal items in my vehicle that needs to be retrieved, they stated an appointment for that is needed which is a legal rights violation in state ************** Debt Collection Practices Act. **************************** was called at approximately 11:55 a.m. I attempted to make a deal with them getting what I needed to get out of my vehicle, they denied again. Neither stated their names. I received a call from **** Sgt. ****** at 2:46 p.m. I explained the ************** stated to not have heard of repossession companies denying individuals to get items needed out of their vehicle. Responded officer stated I can call them on Monday for an officer to get B&P's side of story stating why they denied me from getting my items. I picked up my vehicle from B&P yesterday (9/13/24) and in order to release the vehicle to me they had me sign a release form obviously. What is drawing me to make a complaint is that they had me sign a form saying that I inspected the vehicle before it was released to me, when in reality I was unable to inspect my vehicle and was denied access to be escorted to my vehicle to inspect it before signing the form. B&P has a camera pointed right at where the customer walks up to the office to receive their vehicle so they have countless proof that they are making customers sign that release without allowing them to inspect their vehicle like the form says the customer did. This is an extremely deceptive practice that feels illegal so that if they damaged your vehicle you are blissfully unaware until after the forms are signed and liability released from B&**** desired outcome from this complaint is to get a response from the company explaining themselves, and to contact me to refund me 1/2 of the repossession fee they charged my lien holder that I had to pay.Initial Complaint

09/5/2024 I went to receive my vehicle from their impound and my vehicle was damaged and goods were stolen, my perfectly fine seat belt was pulled and stretched to where the seatbelt shows visible kinks and warping. The seatbelt will not retract properly putting my safety driving at a significant risk. The passenger side mirror was forcefully pushed in all the way and is now giving a hard time when using the automatic adjustment feature on the car to position my mirror. There were goods in my vehicle such as cases of sodas and water and other items from the store that were stolen from the backseat of the vehicle. #1. My car has a wire latch for the hood to open , instead of pulling the wire to pop the hood properly they pried the latch off and completely broke the whole hood latch,and they had to bungee the hood down w/ 2 bungees before we left their yard so the hood would not smash our window on our way home over 60 miles away.#2. There's dents, scratches and cracks to my front bumper from them towing it. And the front bumper is hanging on by a thread.#3. The convertible top was opened when they took my car and they never put the top up, and they didn't park it under shelter from the rain. So my car sat uncovered in the weather for 8 days, getting wet inside when it rained. Causing my seats, and my rugs, and all the wiring for the car to get wet. Had to get a cleaning and detail that was $150. Plus it caused a total loss of my jumper box that was a value of $100.#4. I made an appointment to pick up my car at 11am n I called them at 1030am to let them know I was running late, they said it wasn't a problem but when I got a text from them at 12 noon saying my appointment was canceled so I called them to let them know I was 15 miles away, they said I had to pay $75 for a new appointment for the same day. I live over 2 hours away and there was an accident on I-75 causing me to be late. I paid the fee but would like a refund.Initial Complaint

I called ** recoveryApril 27th and was told that they never picked up a rental from hertz that was repossessed. Im homeless and a great deal of my belongings were still in the car. *** called all over in order to retrieve my belongings and ***** is saying that ** recovery is who repossessed the car. I really need my items. I have important information and medication in the car. Ive literally been calling since the 26th. I hope my items are not stolen. I asked the guy if I could ride with him to be able to get my things and I was told no. Ive been stranded in *******. I just want my things. Theyre all I had left to my name because I lived in the car. Times are so hard. I had no way to get the items right away because I was at a store parking lot when they pulled up. I had no bags. On 4/25/24 after business hours, one of our agents repossessed the following unit. At the time of recovery, the agent reported the unit as repossessed to PD. There is no notation on the account that the customer called us requesting their personal items. Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 10:30a to 3:30p. We only work by appointment, but the customer is more than welcome to pick up their personal items during our business hours by scheduling an appointment at bpautorecovery.com or calling our office at ************ during business hours. BP Auto repoed my vehicle. I paid my leinholder for the vehicle on Monday, but due to “company policy” at BP I couldn’t get my car until Wed afternoon due to their “scheduling” - I was charged $75 a day which is part of their scam, you can’t get your car back right away. Upon retrieving my vehicle today 5/10 I saw they took all money in the car, down to the last coin. Employees also emptied my entire center console and threw all my items on the passenger seat. They went through my personal property, including pulling everything out of the pockets of the back of my seats throwing it all over the car. I took a picture and showed the employees barricaded behind their make shift eye holes. They gave me the “oh they shouldn’t have done that…” I know they don’t care because ALL THEIR REVIEWS SAY THEY STEAL MONEY AND GO THRU PERSONAL PROPERTY!! These people are crooks how are they still in business?!! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! And they boast about taking people’s cars all over instagram and upload photos of people’s personal homes, cars, etc. They literally robbed me and charged me per day while doing it. My Car was repoed 09/22/22 the next morning I tried calling the company to get info on my car, no answer. Online there hours are listed from 10:30am - 3:30pm and it also states that business is no longer open. On 10/2/22 I finally was able to get in contact with some from this horrible company and i was put on hold for 1hr and 45 min and hung up and called back multiple times. I have supporting documents to show the amount of times i called. I also sent an email to the company and was blocked and unable to send another. I also attempted to reach out to them through social media no response. The reviews on this company are horrible and multiple people have already contacted you guys about this horrible company and something needs to be done.Business Response
