I tried contacting AMES for a warranty claim for a broken 16-Tine bow rake that I purchased back in 2018. They emailed me and told me that since I didn’t have a receipt for the item o purchased 7 years ago, they are unable to honor the warranty, even though the toll says it has a 15 year warranty. No where on the tool does it state “keep your receipt for warranty purposes” Big company with terrible customer service and warranty practicesReview from Dr. Delicia W

The AMES Companies, Inc is a licensed retailer partner of ********* however, they continue to shift blame and not accept repsonsiblity for their warranty products and refer to other companies such as ***** who refuse to honor warranty products also. These companies are asking for dated receipts purchased from years ago which would not be legible for reading for today's machine devices and not willing to do due diligence when working with customers. ********* products are guaranteed lifetime warranty, however, that is not the case nor honored when trying to resolve warranty issues/complaints. ********* products are sold with home good retailers such as ***** and **** ***** and is this the same language and response from them when purchasing ********* warranty products. Someone needs to investigate and hold *********, AMES, ***** and others who refuse to honor warranty products!!!
