My roof was completed in February of 2022. I just put my house in the market June of 2024, over 2 years later. It was brought to my attention by my realtor that the permit for my roof had expired and that my roof work was never inspected by the county; if not addressed this would affect closing on my current offer. I contacted Florida Premier roofing over the course of 3 days with no response or action pertaining to the matter. My son made an honest review on ****** on how horrible this company is and how they are unwilling to do anything to address their negligence. That night we get blackmailed via text by a man named ********************* who claimed to be the owner stating he wasnt going to do anything unless the review was taken down. He also stated this wasnt his problem, that he wasnt with the company at the time. Over the course of 2 days via text this man habitually called us out of our names and kept berating us and making jokes that our house isnt going to close, which this is an issue because if this expired permit isnt closed my house isnt going to sell and its all because of this companys negligence! I began to research and found that other customers are having the same issues and that they have failed to address the issue. I also found online that this ********************* had been charged for 18 counts of accused forgery and fraud for AOB on his clients. This is one of the men this company has representing their brand! On top of the fact its public record how unethical this man is with customers and their money, they allow him to make a mockery out of their customers and get away with completing roofs without a permit! The buyer of my home hired an inspector that pointed out our roof is leaking! Shingles are falling off and wrong material was used, in addition to other things that are missing. This is completely unacceptable and should not be allowed. Now these repairs have to be made out of my pocket after my insurance and I already paid. Ridiculous.

As the customer is aware, her roof was completed in February 2022 while the company was under different management. The customer very recently brought this issue up to the company and has spoken to numerous representatives of the company. All company representatives have stated the same thing, that the company is already going through the process of reopening the permit through the county to get this resolved. This was not a good enough response for the customer who believed that this could be resolved in one day. Unfortunately, this is not the case as we must wait for governmental agencies to resolve this issue.

The customer claims she has not received a response, but the truth is she did not receive a response from us that she liked as it wasn't an immediate fix. The customer further lists an individual by name saying she was "blackmailed", we respectfully dispute this claim as you can see from our response we are actively trying to get this issue resolved. The customer to date has never brought up a leaking issue with the roof and unfortunately if true this could be caused by numerous factors beyond the company's control over the past two years since installation, including the numerous catastrophic hurricanes that occurred in 2022. Our permitting department pulls permits for every job including this one, the employee who was in charge of permits at the time of the build had been let go as of March 2022.

The rest of the customer's statements are nothing more than hearsay and slander and we dispute these claims.

This company settled with my home owners insurance company for an amount to repair my kitchen and kitchen window due to water damage. They came, torn my kitchen apart and left. After months of chasing them, they are now refusing to continue work or put the kitchen back how they found it.They are saying that they didn't get enough money from the insurance company and I either open another claim with my home owners insurance so they get more money, pay out of pocket for the difference or they wont do anything else.I've asked them to just put back the kitchen how they found it. I was not asking for a full new kitchen, I'm just asking for them to just put back the same things they took. They no longer respond to my emails and they do not want to provide their insurance company information so I can file a 3rd party claim.I have no paid them anything out of pocket, but they did receive money from my insurance company. I have all paper work, texts and emails where they ask me to open a new claim with my home owners insurance.

Customer is requesting work not approved nor contemplated by the insurance company when payment was issued. Customer failed to state that they received a $5000 reimbursement when they declined to provide additional funds for work not contemplated by insurance. They are able to request additional funds from insurance company, we as the contractor can not. If customer would like us to do any work contemplated by insurance they are welcome to provide the $5000 reimbursement check back, and we will happily perform. Any work above what is contemplated by insurance and funds provided by insurance will need additional funds from customer. While customer seems to request to keep the $5000 and have the business perform. We are unaware of any business that works for free. Customer received reimbursement check on Thursday November 30th, 2023 at 1:08PM per ***** tracking 774277411392, we are unaware of what customer has with said funds. We considered this matter closed unless or until customer chooses to send payment.

I am not requesting any free labor, nor asking for them to do the full kitchen. They found the kitchen in one piece, they came tore it apart and left after "finding more damage". All I am asking for, is for them to put back the kitchen how it was, the one sheetrock sheet. the one cabinet and the piece of marble counter top they removed.

Just to clarify, I am not asking for the full repairs.

The $5000 were sent to me on a check when filing a second claim was not agreed by me.

No free labor asked, no more than what is right. Just leave the kitchen the way they found it. Also, as clarification, they do not need to buy any new cabinets or marble, the removed cabinet and marble were taken in one piece and they are not broken so, is just s**** it back into the wall for the cabinet and re-glue the marble piece.

      One more piece,

The $5000 is reimbursement of what they collected from the insurance company to repair the kitchen. Not money they decided to send to me as a courtesy.

Please see attached email thread with **** (owner of the company).

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns.

As you mentioned, the $5000 was reimbursed to you by us, not the insurance company, for the cost of repairing the kitchen and to putting the cabinets back to where they were. This amount was refunded to you after mold was discovered behind the cabinets, which required additional work and funds beyond the original scope of the project.

At that time, we presented you with options to continue the work, but you chose not to proceed. Consequently, we refunded this amount to you.
Moving forward, you have the following options:

      1. Return the 5000 and pay for the additional work required, and we can resume and complete the necessary repairs.

      2. Alternatively, you can choose another contractor to this portion of the job.

Currently you are requesting the 5000 to be refunded and work to be done. We are respectfully declining to work for free.

On May 4, 2021, I signed an Assignment of Benefits with Florida Premier Roofing (FPR). It seemed like after signing this document communication with this company started slowing down. This matter was long and drawn out. In November of 2022 the insurance company Liberty Mutual agreed to make payment, and a check dated November 11, 2022, was sent to FPR. I wasn't getting much information about details and was told on multiple occasions that FPR was waiting on this check into December. Near the end of December after a conversation with one of the representatives of FPR in which there was still no definite start date, I wrote the company a letter to rescind the **** I did get communication after the letter, but at this point I had no trust in this company. The communications were sometimes coercive and sometimes veiled threats. This happened off and on over the year since I sent FPR the letter. On 4-24-24, I received a call from an attorney representing FPR. He informed me they had a new check from Liberty Mutual, and they were eager to replace my roof. I imagine FPR is replacing thousands of roofs in Florida. I do not understand why they are so determined to replace mine. I sent them a letter to rescind the **** ONE ROOF. They never even filed a permit. But they would rather drag me through the mud...a senior citizen, than acknowledge this letter, and leave me alone. Did they really have this right to ask for this check? After the *** has been rescinded? I do not want to work with this company. It would be an injustice to sustain any damages as a result of this situation.

Customer is correct that they signed an Assignment of Benefits with our company. The check she referenced in 2022 was sent for mortgage processing and sent to the customer, we have no idea what they chose to do with these funds as we simply asked she provide them so we could get started. At all points in time we have stood ready and willing to do the job, unfortunately the customer did not seem to understand that we needed the funds so that we can order materials on her job without a lien being filed on her property. Customer's mortgage company was provided all funds in 2022 and they provided the same to customer. To express again for clarity, we simply needed the customer to pay her deductible to comply with law, and she has so far refused. We had to hire attorneys who got this matter settled, while we have no doubt the customer may want to have us no longer involved, we have expended funds so the customer should reimburse us for the costs of the lawyer who procured the check, or the customer can pay us her deductible as required by Florida law and we can build the roof. To date we have not received any funds on this file and have only paid money for the benefit of the customer.

We had our roof installed by Florida Premier Roofing on April 2023. In August we were still waiting for the county to give final inspection without one word from Florida Premier roofing. A representative from the company came out to do an inspection and said they only did 2 sheets of plywood which was included in the price. So much to our surprise we get an invoice stating 10 sheets were used, when this is the opposite of what the person said. My husband has been in constant communication by contacting them and was told they are still looking for the pictures. Now we get a letter saying they will *** us for the $800. When they are still looking for pictures showing the plywood that was used. Or have we seen an invoice of any sort. Needless to say when they dropped off a garbage container and did damage to our fence and installed it upside down, nothing was done about this either. Communication with this company isnt the greatest.

After a lengthy wait due to the insurance company, work was begun on our roof July 17, 2023. The roof was removed in the morning. It rained later that afternoon and the area was partially covered with a tarp. We had multiple areas of damage from the rain storm and Florida Premier Roofing was made aware of the damage and photos of the areas were sent via the customer portal. No work was performed the following day. Roofers returned on July 19 to work with some progress made. Spoke with a company rep during the afternoon of July 20 regarding our concerns about progress on the roof and damage from the rain storm earlier in the week. Roofers did not return until 6PM that day to continue working on the roof. We were told by the rep he only addressed the outside work and someone else would contact us after the install was completed to fix the interior problems. Roofers returned at 7AM on July 21 and worked until 6:15PM to complete the install. City inspectors failed the initial roof inspection on July 25, 2023. A follow up inspection passed on July 31. We have since left 2 messages via the customer portal inquiring when the interior work will be done. No response from the company.

The customer we have a contract with for this property is ****** ****** We completed Mr. ***** roof and passed our final inspection on 7/31/23. At this time, Florida Premier Roofing was made aware of the leak, but unfortunately we are about 7-12 weeks out on our interior schedule.

I will say that prior to this notification of a BBB complaint, both my office and the representative, Brady M******* who worked directly with Mr. *****, have not gotten a single phone call, email, or text message since the roof was completed. Mr. ***** did not even give us a chance by letting us know he was unhappy with this time frame before filing a complaint against us. After waiting an entire year Florida Premier Roofing finally replaced our roof. It is leaking. They do not return your calls or messages. The communication is very poor. I called again this morning and all I was told is that they can put a ticket in. They will not put me in contact with anyone that can give us answers. Our roof is leaking becuase of them. It never leaked before. We are beyond fed up after trying to be patient over a year. Also, they took our old skylights out and left them unfinsished inside. I could go on and on about their awful service. I just hope if they do get someone to show up to make repairs they aren't smoking marijuana like the last crew. It literally filled our home with that stench. IT IS AWFUL!

During the course of having my roof replaced, the roofing crew used a chemical to remove tar that had gotten on a garage door. Consequently the paint was damaged. Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2022/10/25) */ This has already been resolved and the Customer has taken down her reviews/complaints etc elsewhere. BBB apparently does not allow reviews to be taken down "once sent to the business". This takes the control out of the consumer's hands and is something BBB should warn their consumers about. We the business dispute the complaint and have already resolved this issue prior to being contacted by the BBB. The customer agrees that the above is not an accurate representation of the facts and took down the review accordingly. Further, the customer received her cancellation amounts owed, but they were delayed due to the Hurricane. This issue is closed amicably.
