On 02/11/2022 someone from his and her roofing knocked on my door asking how my roof was I told them that I have put in a claim to my insurance company but they denied it and cancelled my contact the following year. The gentleman said that I have 2 years to fight the claim ,if I sign my policy over they would take them to court for my roof and my pool screen so I signed over the contract to them. They sued them for 26000.00 paid the lawyers 3500.00 which left them 22500.00 plus my deductible. When the gentleman came for me to sign so they can get the permit I asked about my pool enclosure he said that they don't do it but I would get the left over money from the roof when it is done (should have gotten that in writing) .when the roof was done I asked about the money for the pool screen they told me the insurance company didn't approve it which they should have said before time I asked for a detailed invoice on what the money was spent on just received an invoice that said 25000.00.Tgey also said my house is 3362sqft which it is not it is only 2742 sqft. How can a roof cost so much money when they didn't change in piece of wood.

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/10/24) */ Hi, The insurance carrier fully denied the entire claim. They would not allocate funds for the pool screen. We have only received $23,000 of the $25,000 we were owed. This leaves $2,000 of the deductible that is legally owed for this job. The carrier agreed to settle the roof for $22,500 plus your $2,500 deductible. I've attached the eagleview satellite measurement which is the measurement standard when measuring roofs. The insurance carriers use the same software. The eagleview measurement shows 3,362sqft for your roof. I'm not sure where the 2,742sqft is coming from? The price of this roof is far under the market price and we agreed to take a hit to make sure we got the roof on quicker for you. We are still owed $2000. Consumer Response /* (3000, 10, 2022/10/25) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) To start I do not owe 2000.00 because we settled on a 500.00 deductible because I wanted you to send the check back to the insurance company because I was not very happy .The square footage on the property is listed as 2742 on the property appraisers site and it doesn't say 3362 sqft.when we agreed to the roof before I signed the forms a asked about the pool screen and was told that I would get the money after the roof is done so the gentleman lied to me to get me to sign so they didn't have to send the check back Business Response /* (4000, 12, 2022/11/01) */ His and Hers Roofing has already explained the size of your roof and provided documentation Please feel free to use a third party to verify. We used satellite measurements from the industry standard for roof measurements. Again the property appraiser site is the size of your property not your roof. Your pool screen was not approved by the carrier. Please let us know how you would like to pay what is due.

His and Hers Roofing came to our door asking about our roof Michael said they were working in our area. His boss Ben ****** Vice President of Sales was with him. Micahel asked if he could ck the roof then said you have a lot of damage on the roof, He said sign this paper and this is just to allow me speak to your insurance co. which I did my mistake because I was now no longer able to speak with my insurance compan. He inspected roof & we got an inspector representing ************** to come out which Michael met..After this conversation my insurance co would not speak to me because His & Hers had lawyers that were speaking for them.and they were now my roofers. The only person I spoke with was Cassie ***** who was in charge of my account. I tried calling Michael and Ben no one returned calls. i continued calling office speaking only to Cassie. After 3 months & after they received money from my insurance co I got a call that the bin would be delivered and wk started on the August 31 2022. To this day no one ever came out to check on the work that was being done or when it was completed. Work was done they used cheap shingles for the lack of words, We were Screwed by this company!! The roofers damaged the soffett in back of home and didnt say a word. They left a gaping hole with no covering & hanging wires on 3 sides of home. The inspection has failed due to the repairs. I have reached out to His & Hers wanting repairs done since the 2nd of September. After many calls Cassie scheduled 2 guys to come out on 9/10/22 no shows. I sent email 9/14/22 she acted like she didnt know. I can still speak with no one at this office but her. She keeps saying someone will contact me which is a lie. I dont want anyone else to be screwed by this company. I also want to make sure we get copies of all billing and a clear Mechanical relase so no one comes after us for bills not paid. ************** 9/15/22

Business Response /* (1000, 12, 2022/11/08) */ Hi *****, I reviewed your file we are going to get the soffit fixed as mentioned by the inspector. Our production team will be in contact and this will not cost anything out of pocket for the soffit. When completed we will get final inspection set. Consumer Response /* (2000, 14, 2022/11/14) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) This was a complete surprise we received a call on the 7th of November that they would not do the repairs but would put us in contact with someone that does soffit work. We were ready to move on so we could be done with all of this. Thank you for the response. *****

On September 30, 2021, we received a knock on our door by Mr.********* of His and Hers Roofing (HHR), explaining that there was a hail storm that occurred on April 11, 2021 that may have caused damage to roofs in our area. He offered to inspect our roof for damage from this storm. After the inspection, Mr. ******** confirmed that hail and storm damage had occurred and helped to submit a claim to our insurance company, *******************************************************. An Insurance Replacement Agreement was signed stating that we would hire HHR to "furnish all materials and labor necessary to perform the above described insurance work for the Replacement Cost Value as determined by the Owner's Insurance Carrier". We were told by Mr. ********, that HHR only performs roof work, and that any settlement amount for supplemental items approved by the insurance company such as gutter replacement, interior damage, or solar panel work would be distributed to us as the homeowners/insured party. On January 31, 2022, HHR's hired attorney, **********************************************, submitted a pre-suit demand and notice of intent to initiate litigation letter along with an estimate prepared by *********** of HHR for the cost of damaged items identified during the inspection totaling $59,522.75. This included $2,302 for Gutter repair, $7,597.69 for solar panel removal and reset, and $3,600 for interior damage. Settlement was reached June 1st. On July 26, 2022, after speaking with legal counsel, we requested an Itemized list of the work being performed by HHR with detailed pricing for each individual item, an explanation for the missing $1907.24 from the Settlement invoice received July 11, 2022, and documentation stating that the $2,302 for Gutter repair, $7,597.69 for solar panel removal and reset, and $3,600 for interior damage were rejected by the insurance company. We are still awaiting a response and/or a check for the damages requested in the Demand Letter.

On May 22, 2022, I entered an agreement with His and Hers Roofing, of Orlando, Fl to inspect my roof from the then recent hail storm. I was told this was simply to look at the roof and be on the property. I spoke to the field manager and explained that I was unable to make the deductible due to recently having purchased the home. I did offer that, if they were able to use my professional services for photography, I would be able to afford this and the offer was well received. I was told they were interested and he would get an answer for me. I repeatedly asked for the answer as the installation date came near, and when they returned two weeks ago to pick shingles, they still appeared interested in the agreement. The week work was expected to begin I was finally informed they were not interested in my offer. I requested to cancel the contract and was told it was too late. They offered a rebate for a referral and adding a yard sign to seemingly waive the cost At this point, I do not feel right about how they are acting, so I call my insurance company to find out what the status is and I am unable to obtain any information on this claim. It turns out, the inspection agreement was a contract for them to have full agency over all communications with the insurance company, effectively removing my access to any claim status. I am now unable to see any status. I feel like they are acting in a very predatory and unprofessional manner and this is not acceptable. Work has not begun and I am still asking them to cancel the contract. The lead on my work order is telling me it's too late and something unclear about the payouts. I have asked for a review from counsel and I am continuing to request His and Hers Roofing cease any planned work, return any and all funds the insurance company has distributed, and nullify all contracts without penalty. Their ASSIGNMENT AGREEMENT is poorly written with many typos. I should have paid closer attention before signing it.

I am filing this on behalf of my mother, due to the stress and hardship this company has cause our family. This company originally got a check that was quoted by our insurance agency of around $13,000. The check written was for $16,000, which included money allocated for interior repairs. The company will not give us a straight answer, and is trying to charge even more money. We contacted the insurance company, and they are going into receivership. When we asked about the money, the insurance company said His and Her's Roofing are trying to get $35,000. The insurance company said even with the added repairs, due to incompetence of the roofing contractors failing county inspections twice, it should be no more than $22,000. We have been trying to get this money back, so we can repair our home, and sell, but this company refuses to cooperate, and even communicate. They have lied to us since the beginning, and have provided very little, if any, documentation to show what they are doing. Every neighbor around us that had roofs repaired paid no more than $10,000. This company is not only gouging prices, it is lying to customers and dragging its feet, and has proven to provide garbage quality roofing to our home. We want our money that is allocated for our repairs, and for our case to be closed so we can sell our home. We've been dealing with this company since February, and it is now July.

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/07/29) */ The insurance claim and property in question are a legal matter that I can only speak with the Policy holder. This complaint was filed by a family member. Although we are looking into the allegations, we can't provide details unless the son has power of attorney for the property and the insurance claims.
