RUN FROM THIS COMPANY!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE! I hired total to come pump out my septic tank in August 2022, of course the price I was quoted over the phone was not the price when the tech came out. He informed me that there was sand in the tank (THEY INSTALLED THE TANK IN 2012) & the lid was broken & needed to be replaced. He advised a new system would be needed to fix this problem which I agreed to AND paid a deposit so they would come back out & finish the work. Well, that was my second mistake, a month went by & not 1 phone call from total, I called several times, left many messages with my # & never got a call back. They took my money & ran! I finally got a hold of Lynn, & of course she was very rude & gave me the usual excuses, never apologized for their lack of service & said she could put me on the schedule for November 15th, mind you I have been dealing with this since August! They finally came & installed the new tank on 11/15. I wish I could post pictures of my yard & the damage they did to my drain field with their oversized excavator, it's truly unbelievable the amount of damage they did to my drain field. Upon reviewing the charges on my bill, they tried to charge me $425.00 for a load of sand that was NEVER on their truck. They also charged $35O.00 to remove the old tank but most of it was broken up & buried in my yard! I am still finding chunks of big concrete they broke up in the yard. BEWARE!! You have to watch everything they do! DOUBLE CHECK YOUR BILL!!! The county inspector came the next day and of course WE FAILED INSPECTION!!! Because they put the new septic system too close to my main water line. And they did not provide a pump out receipt. UNBELIEVABLE! They've been in business how long? They know what the county requirements are. What a crappy experience! LYNN STILL WILL NOT ANSWER MY EMAILS OR PROVIDE A COPY OF THE PUMP OUT RECEIPT FOR MY RECORDS!! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE CONSIDERING ALL OF THE MONEY I'VE PAID THEM. DO NOT USE TOTAL ENVIRO!!!!Total Enviro Services, Inc.

On September 8th the *******'s contacted us to perform at pumpout at their home. The price quoted over phone was $325 and we collected $325. After pumping the tank, they contracted with Total to replace their septic tank bc its was damaged. In 2012, the *******'s hired Total to replace only their drain field, not the tank. Total requires a 50% deposit to begin permitting and this type of construction work requires a permit. On September 12th, the site work for their permitting was done and their permit application was sent to the health department on that same day. Permits from the health department take 4-6 weeks to obtain.
In late September, Florida was hit by Hurricane Ian which would slow down county permitting even more as the health department employees are required to man all county storm shelters during storms. Our entire work schedule was moved back an entire week due to this storm. We received the permit for the *******'s project on October 4th. At this point our schedule was fully booked and over logged due to moving the entire schedule a week back. Then Hurricane Nicole came to Florida on November 10th further pushing back our installation schedule.
Total scheduled the install for November 15th. After install, we called in the inspection (inspection was on November 16) and the inspector mentioned that the water line to the house was made of metal and only 3" from the septic tank. The inspector gave approval to cover the septic tank and we did that on November 18th, 2022. We gave the *******'s an estimate to reroute their existing water line to meet the setback. Mrs. ******* signed that agreeing to reroute it on 11/20/22 (attached). When the technician arrived on site to change out the water line Mrs. ******* told him no and to leave that she didn't agree to any estimate even though we have a signature from her approving it.
The *******'s eventually got their water line replaced by someone else. Mrs. ******* never called and told us that she got it replaced so we could get her job re-inspected. We ended up getting a request from the health department to pay the reinspection fee. Total paid the reinspection fee and the job was approved.
This type of construction work is a very high impact lengthy process. It's messy and very dirty. Landscaping, hardscaping, grass, mulch, trees, shrubs, irrigation everything you see will be at risk. An excavator and/or a skid steer makes numerous trips back and forth through yard. We don't create the jobsites, though we must navigate through or around utilities, driveways, landscaping, fences and anything else we find onsite. I wish we could attach pictures as well because, in our professional opinion, your jobsite turned out great. We have record of sending all invoices to the *******'s.
The *******'s original contract had a load of sand on it which most construction jobs in our industry do. Sometimes we need to use it and sometimes we don't. When sand isn't required, the fee comes off their final bill. In this case, the sand was deducted from the bill.
Total has been professionally serving the citizens and businesses of Central Florida since 1992. We aim to provide top notch service to all of our customers. We are sorry that Mrs. ******* was not happy with the tank installation process at her home.

John ignored the guarantee printed on the back of our receipt which states "free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year". Our septic tank is full after just 3 weeks since his company pumped it. He is saying it is our fault, and could be a drain field issue even though on our day of service his technician stated to us that our drain field looked good. It even says on our receipt that "drainfield is fair". John is refusing to come out to check the work his technician did. Also the cost quoted to me on the phone was not honored. We ended up paying double. And to top it off, his technician was rude. Do NOT use this company!Total Enviro Services, Inc.

Our guarantee is for installation services which you did not have with us and they don't apply to pump outs. You hired us to pump out your septic tank, which we lawfully pumped, transported and disposed of at the county facility. During every pump out, we completely remove all liquid waste from the septic tank. Then the homeowners use water in many ways like flushing toilets, showering, washing laundry, doing dishes and washing hands. All your wastewater then goes into your septic tank as designed and the tank can fill back up in a day or three days. If your drain field is failing, its unable to accept the waste water from your septic tank. We can't see your drain field underground and we were not hired to inspect it. How old is your drain field? They are not designed to last forever and you will continue to back up until to address the drain field issue. You hired us to remove the current wastewater from your tank, we did, then you filled it back up with more wastewater. A good working septic system only needs to be pumped every 3-5 years per the FL department of environmental protection. We regret the misunderstanding you have with septic tank pumping service.Rebekah S

I don't have any misunderstanding of septic tank pumping services. We had another company come out to check your work and there were wires left above ground which caused our pump to trip, which you would have seen if you came out to inspect your technician's work. Our drain field is functioning perfectly, the pump was not running due to a mistake on the part of your company. That is my complaint.Total Enviro Services, Inc.

Our technician wrote on your invoice that a pickup truck drove over your septic tank and drain field. At the time of service, our technician also noted that your pump was working and you have a belly in your mainline from truck weight damage. We didn't work on your pump and with your current situation there is no telling how long it will continue to work. You called us back 3 weeks after we pumped your tanks and asked our dispatcher to send the pump truck back for free and we simply cant. If the pump wasn't working when we were onsite, we would of recommended replacement since we sell sewage pumps. Also if your pump wasn't working at the time we did pump out, your system would of backed up immediately. Do you know old your septic pump is? They don't last forever. We didn't dig up your pump line to inspect it bc we were not hired to. You simply hired us to pump out your septic tanks, then weeks later the sewage pump had an issue. If you would of been willing to pay a service call for us to come back, we would of discovered the new issue. We don't sell customers parts that are currently working. When septic systems are damaged, stuff goes wrong at different times, usually everything doesn't fail all at once.Review fromRobert W

I called the company to have my septic tanked pumped. It was June 19th a Sunday. The following day was June 20 a holiday and companies could not empty there trucks from pumping as the county was closed. I had called several other companies and told there trucks were full and couldn't dump till Tuesday. I was quoted $300.00 buy Total Enviro Services but when they arrived and opened up my tank to pump then told me it would be $475.00. I complained and the driver called his company and said they would take $425.00 take it or leave it. So with my toilet over flowing I had no choice.Total Enviro Services, Inc.

We are sorry to hear about you being unsatisfied with the price you were given for your emergency septic tank pumping. Our phone quote is a quoted price given without seeing the jobsite, its the minimum fee. After digging up your tank, our technician said the water level in your tank was above normal and it appeared to not have been serviced in many years as there were mostly solids in your tank. Our technician then requoted the price and you complained so he called our office to see if we could give him a break off $475 and we were able to discount $50 off. We are glad we could help you with your tank pumping when nobody else was available. We charge $500 minimum for emergency pumping, which you were not charged. Septic services are hard to price over the phone as it varies depending on conditions and quantity of gallons onsite. We do hope you change your mind on the 1 star review and we have a great track record with BBB and our customers. We have been servicing customers in FL since 1992.
