Switch solar installed our solar panels made last year. The description on the job was inaccurate to say it mildly. The Installation was finished and they seem to be functioning now. However, they also did a package with AC and foam insulation. The company have not provided us to their **** state license as of yet and they did not pull a permit as admitted by the technician By early fall, we discovered that he left one unit without an air filter which is still missing. This is a health hazard.Later, we had to bring another contractor who found serious dangerous violations and we had to spend additional money. We learned then that the units were straight cool type and not heat pump as advertised by the sales *** verbally and in the brochure sent to us. However, the company was fully paid by the ****. We dont even have an itemized receipt for the job done or the master lien release. To make things worse, the foam sprayed in the attic expanded, and the air ducts were partially collapsed. At this juncture, we demand:1. To have a straight cold unit ***laced with **** unit with heat pump as promised. They want to come and do some refurbishing. We paid for new units.2. That the job is fully permitted by the city/county to assure compliance with all the pertinent codes. To be performed by a licensed entity. 3. The air ducts in the attic are to be ***laced. We have met with scarce emails and *************** other contractor estimates, it will take between $25,000 - $30,000 to ***air all the damage. The owner, ****, has not given us a privilege of a phone conversation in spite of multiple calls from us. They have preferred that the customer is the one losing instead of them being responsible for their work. They have tried to send the same technician that did all the bad work, whom I have not been able to verify his credentials, in spite of us asking the company and the technician for the **** license number.Thank youBusiness Response

Dear Dr. **************** hope this message finds you well.
First and foremost, I want to express our regret for any dissatisfaction you have experienced.
Our goal has always been to provide excellent service and ensure our customers are happy with the results of our work.
I feel its important to clarify that we are a solar company, not an HVAC or insulation company. Our expertise lies in solar energy solutions, and we believe weve gone above and beyond to assist you in areas outside our primary focus.
While I understand your concerns, Id like to highlight the ways weve worked to support you:
Solar System Performance: Your solar system has been operating perfectly since installation, providing you with the expected benefits.
Additional Upgrades: Using solar loans, you were able to make home improvements with excellent terms and take advantage of significant tax incentives.
Skirt Installation: Were installing system skirts that were not part of the original agreement, at no additional cost to you, despite their value exceeding $1,000.
HVAC Support: ******* arranged for the replacement of two AC units, including insulation and an EV charger, all of which are functioning properly. Please note that the permit cost is a standard extra fee for HVAC replacements, as most companies do not include it.
Heat Pump: ****** Services has been ready to install the heat pump for the past two weeks, and were covering the cost entirely. He is available to complete this work today.
Regarding **************** we have collaborated with them on multiple projects and consistently received positive feedback. However, as youve directly engaged with Mr. ****** for additional work, the relationship between you and him extends beyond the scope of our original agreement. Despite this, we remain committed to resolving the heat pump issue to your satisfaction. We value your trust and reputation in the community and are confident that allowing us to finish the heat pump installation will address your primary concern. We also kindly ask for your understanding of the efforts our team and crews have put forth to accommodate your needs.
Thank you for your time and cooperation. We look forward to resolving this matter promptly and to your satisfaction.

Over three months have passed since I got approved for the loan for batteries for my solar equipment. In this loan is included $13,000.00 for home improvements that Switch Solar is saying they have not gotten paid yet and as such cannot pay forward. I have spoken to Sunnova, which is who funded the loan, that says Switch Solar has already been paid and they should release those funds. After many weeks calling and talking with Switch Solar, their representatives and a *** ****, who is in charge there, keeps putting off saying he will look into it the following week. The loan is now due to start paying in October and I need that money that has already been funded and is mine because of the loan.Business Response

This company offered us to installed solar panels in our home. They said that the electrical bill will be around $30 a month after the solar panels is installed. We signed a contract with them and a financial company. After a couple of weeks, they arrived with the materials to do the work, and they started to install the panels and equipment. At this point, we have never seen how this project will look like or what they will be doing. Nobody sat down with us to talk about what they will be doing. No information was given to us or ask us about any changes or modifications. They installed the panels in a way that the appearance looks horrible and when we called them to complain about that, they said that they will fix it but after the permits were approved. That was back in July. The owner of the company by the name of **** ****** sent us an email about the corrections they will doing (email attached). Also, we mentioned to him that the electrical bills are the same amount, and nothing has changed. After 2 months later, he hasn't reply to the emails anymore. We filed a claim with the financial company, and they confirmed that the system is not working as it should and they will be sending some technicians, but 2 weeks has passed and nothing. We are paying between the electric company (***) and ******* who is the financial company, more than $500 a month when our normal electric bill is $230. We do not the purpose of having solar panels when we are paying double. Switch Solar is an untrusted company with no integrity, giving false statement, terrible service and, lie about the service they claimed they provide. We would like for Switch Solar to do what they told us, fix the appearance of the panels, to fix the power they generate because they are not working properly (as the tech from ******* told us) and to cover the double billing we are getting from *** and the financial company. If they cannot do all these, we do not want these solar panels, they can remove them.Business Response

To respond to this complaint I'm using numbers and graphs which shows that this is an empty complaint of a customer who has been difficult. I have attached the production graph of this house showing the high production they have had for now several months. Also, the daily numbers showing their solar system is producing even more than offered at contract. (for privacy contract is not shared) this contract states: Fist year production to be ****** kWh. The daily report shows this house producing ***** kWh per day, which will by the end of the first year will be approx. ****** kWh. Some customer pretend that ********************** production be high numbers from day one which is not the case, solar takes a min of 12 months to show true production.Initial Complaint

I decided to go with switch solar for my home upgrade in ******* in which I was promised a $1000 incentive. The panels were installed first week of May 2024, it is now August and I have yet to recieve my incentive, not only have I not gotten my incentive but a bunch of reps that got them contracts have not been paid their commission either. This is unacceptable and had I known that they would be this unprofessional I would have not gone into contract with them. The person who was my rep has tried contacting the owner **** multiple times and has been ignored every time. Something needs to be done not only so my incentive can be given to me but for the reps to also get paid for their work.Customer Answer

we have signed a contract with a solar panel sales and installation company: Swith Solar LLC, **** Commodity **** Unit **** Orlando Florida XXXXX Phone XXX XXXXXXX which, after an engineering and energy consumption study, presented a project for the installation of a solar energy generation system with 34 panels and equipment for the price of 39 thousand dollars, a value that would still have the receipt of a government incentive at 26% of the total amount. The result of the project would be the generation of energy through solar panels that would have the effect of zeroing the consumption charged by the Duke Energy company, which at the time the average consumption was 280 dollars. However, during the date that the contract was signed on 5/20/2021, to a surprise, it only had a 30% reduction and even added to the bank financing it exceeds the amount that was paid directly to the energy company (Duke Energy) we tried several contacts with Swith Solar and their response always recommends that we seek justice. We currently pay $135 to the bank and $220 to Duke Energy. We tried to contact the company in an attempt to remove the panel and settle the bank financing and we still have a loss of 10,500 dollars. Their system is producing properly as it was designed (see attached screenshot showing production since 2021). Their consumption has increased year over year surpassing the designed system which was based on bills prior to May 2021. In regard to returning the system, it was advised to the customer that a solar system is not returnable based on the contract signed by both parties on Mar 7, 2021. Article ** of the Purchase Agreement states the client has 10 days to terminate the contract (signed copy is giving to each client once they signed) Please let me know if you have any further questions.
