    6/21/22 Contracted with Landmark to rent a vacation home for 7 nights in October of 2023. Paid a deposit of $962.60 6/12/23 Paid remaining balance of $758.30 to Landmark 10/20/23 Attempted to check in, but could not enter until 30 minutes past check-in time because we were given the wrong entrance code 10/20/23 After unpacking and getting ready for bed, we discovered bed bugs in several of the beds 10/20/23 Tried contacting Landmark using the emergency number that had been provided. No answer and could not leave a voicemail. We sent an email, but did not get a response until the next morning. In the meantime, we had to evacuate the home at 10:00 pm at night after an exhausting day of travel and find a hotel. We also had other family members that had just arrived at the airport. They had to find a hotel also. 10/21/23 We received an email from Landmark saying that we would receive a full refund in two installments, one on 10/21/23 in the amount of $758.30, and the other on 10/22/23 in the amount of $962.60. 10/21/23 I sent email to Landmark acknowledging their email about our refund and requested that we also receive a reimbursement for our hotel fees. I attached the hotel receipts to that email. 10/27/23 I have not received the second portion of my refund as promised by Landmark and they have not responded to my request for reimbursement of hotel fees.

    Update to complaint:  I have now received a full refund from Landmark Vacation Homes, but they have refused to reimburse me for hotel fees. This is the answer they provided in regard to my request for reimbursement:

    "In regards to the hotel fee, we would not be able to reimburse it because this should be claimed with any travel insurance company you had or the insurance with your cc company.
    This was an unpredictable situation. We took action to call out the pest control company to inspect and treat the property when we got notified. We wish we could host you in our accommodation.
