Date of Transaction: 8/10/22 Purchase of 2 continuing education modules over the phone with representative using my credit card. I asked to be emailed receipt. My total was $56.95 On 8/13/22 I still had not received my emailed receipt and I called to ask about this and to verify I had received 30% off with promo code that I had (Back2School). The representative Adavis A**** G******* emailed me my receipt, but it did not reflect the 30% discount. He stated that I could not get a 30% refund or have 30% placed back on my credit card because I had already ordered and completed the modules. I explained that I ordered via phone and a representative placed my order and the discount was not applied. Adavis A**** G******* stated that I could not receive a 30% refund as this would be against company policy. I asked for him to explain the situation to a manager as I did not make an error in the system since I ordered over the phone. He apologized and stated there was nothing he could do.Business response

Transaction occurred on 7/13/2022. I paid 216.00 plus tax for a booklet of courses for Physical Therapy License renewal in NY state. It was for 36 hours supposedly approved by the licensing board of NYS. I took the exam consisting of 168 questions, passed with a 95 percent and then paid for the course afterward, which was what I was directed to do. Afterwards, when asked to put my license number, another number also came up and I deleted that one as it was not mine. I then tried to find documentation that would show that I completed the course and was trying to find out how to obtain the promised certificate. When I went to my account, it said I was only in the course for one minute and that I was only 50 percent through the exam which was not true. I called the help number and the first and second time I spoke to someone, they encouraged me to go back in and do the test again as they showed that had only performed as stated, one minute and 50 percent. Both times, the people I spoke to hung up on me as I stated that wasn't what I was interested in doing as I had already completed the exam with a 95 percent and I also was afraid that it wouldn't go through unless I paid again. Being that both persons hung up on me and only offered repeating the exam as an option, I feel as though it could have been a scam and this needs to be resolved so that I can adequately perform the CE for my professional license before 7/31/2022. Please advise me as to how to proceed. Thank you.Business response

She stated that she was going to try to cancel this complaint. Consumer Response /* (2000, 8, 2022/07/15) */ I am happy to report that I jumped the gun on this situation, although there should be improvements made so that no one else felt like they were being scammed as I did at the time. The next day I spoke with a different person, who knew how to handle the situation that had occurred and also was able to see why my courses did not register. It was simply that I had not filled out a course evaluation; but there was a glitch somehow as I was not given an opportunity to fill one out. Within 15 minutes, my situation was resolved and I received my course certificate for 36 hours. I would recommend better training for the two prior individuals who did not know how to rectify the situation and chose to hang up on me instead. Thank you all for your prompt attention to this matter and I am currently a satisfied customer. The product was well worth the cost and the information learned a benefit to my profession.Initial Complaint

I paid for an online webinar to meet a new requirement for my registered nurse license through the State of Michigan. It was advertised as a LIVE webinar with interactive segment that meets the requirements. The webinar was not LIVE. It was a video with a post test afterwards. I was not granted access to the post test and therefore was unable to obtain my certificate. I emailed the company. They sent an auto-generated Email with a case number, but no one has reached out to me at all.Business response

The student was both refunded her money for the course and given her certificate of completion that she can use towards her renewal. The course as it is has been approved by the state to meet the requirements and no false advertising has happened. I received a booklet from Elite CME to complete three courses required for my Pennsylvania professional Psychologist license renewal for one fee. I completed the three tests online on 9/30 but only received credit for one course. The website lists the three tests I took but it does not correspond to online courses offered. I have called the company on 10/1, 10/4, and 10/5, emailed them multiple times with photos of the booklet and registration codes, and submitted a customer service request on their site to resolve this problem. They state the booklet code is incorrect; however, they have misclassified the courses as social work and not psychology courses. I have spoken to 3 different CSR agents who promise to call me back and do not. Am I the only professional in my state having this problem? I am perfectly willing to pay for the courses I took (the one course that was credited was free) but there was no option to do that. I also don't have time to take courses elsewhere.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/25) */ We have been in contact with Ms. ********* and she has received credit for the courses that are still valid, we have also enrolled her in our membership offering that will give her access to all courses in our library at no charge for the inconvenience she has experienced. We are using this as a training opportunity for our customer service department. Our customers should always come first and we should resolve the issues on the first call or email.
