This review is for Jamieson L****. He went above and beyond to help me ship a pallet from California to North Carolina. I was searching around for the best rate possible and I had a lot of questions I was going back-and-forth and he was super patient. I kept asking questions being hesitant he was went above and beyond, he provided great customer service. I was completely honest with him that I didn’t want any hidden fees and he made sure that the price he was giving me it was the price that was going to be honored. Also, I asked him about pallet measurements, since I don’t know much about that he really went from A through Z in every single detail. I definitely recommend this company for any of your deliveries or shipping needs specially Jamieson, he really is someone that should be a knowledge as an asset to this company, very happy with the process and very happy with the quality and professionalism that Jamieson delivered. Highly recommend freight center and Jamieson.

I’ve had the absolute pleasure of working with Ashley at Freight Center, and I can honestly say she’s been amazing to deal with. Her response times are unbelievably fast — something I’ve never seen before in this industry. No matter what challenge comes up, Ashley always finds a solution and ensures everything runs smoothly. She doesn’t just stop at getting your freight and packages shipped; she’s hands-on before, during, and after delivery, making sure every detail is taken care of. Truly top-notch service — Ashley sets the bar high for customer support in freight logistics!

My company hired FreightCenter to arrange shipment of valuable audio-visual (AV) equipment. FreightCenter used Estes Express Lines as the carrier. When the shipment arrived, several important pieces were missing, and much of what we did receive was damaged. We contacted FreightCenter immediately for help, but they did nothing to investigate or assist us. They refused to take any responsibility or follow up with Estes Express Lines. Because of their refusal to help, we disputed the charges through American Express. To make matters worse, FreightCenter then blatantly lied in their response to American Express by claiming we received the complete order and that they were never notified of any problems. Both claims are false we documented the missing and damaged equipment and reached out to FreightCenter directly. After we filed the claim with them, FreightCenter also billed us a second charge, claiming the shipment was overweight. This additional billing only added to the unfairness of the situation and felt retaliatory, as it came after our complaint. It is only after discovering FreightCenter’s dishonest statements in the dispute process that we are submitting this complaint to the Better Business Bureau. Harm Caused * Loss of missing equipment * Damaged equipment requiring costly repair or replacement * Unjustified additional billing for “overweight” charges Resolution Requested We are requesting that FreightCenter: * Reimburse us for the missing and damaged equipment, or * Provide a full refund of the charges, including the additional “overweight” billing. At a minimum, FreightCenter should be held accountable for misrepresenting the facts to American Express, issuing an additional charge after our claim, and refusing to address the legitimate problems we reported.

We apologize for your experience and thank you for providing us with your feedback.

Were sorry to hear that part of your shipment was missing. After looking into this, we see that our customer service agent contacted the carrier right after speaking with you on the phone. She then called back and asked you for photos of the freight. She sent the pictures directly to ***** *******, who did find the missing pieces.

We understand billing adjustments are an inconvenient part of the shipping process and we do our very best to ensure our shippers avoid them at all costs. Please note that all carriers verify the information provided on the cargo they handle and if there are any discrepancies with what was reported during the quote phase and the actual weight, class or dimensions as noted by the carrier, a billing adjustment is issued. In your case, there was an additional 540 lbs not reported during the quoting process.

We would be happy to file a dispute with the carrier if you can send documentation proving the weight of your items. We would need a manufacturer's specification sheet, an invoice, and a packing list showing what was shipped.

Were sorry to hear that your shipment was damaged. The customer service representative that you spoke with sent you an email with the instructions to file a claim with the carrier. If you need assistance, do not hesitate to contact our customer service department.

In addition, FreightCenter is not an insurance provider and does not approve or deny any claims or disputes. The claim is between the shipper and the carrier.

We hope this clarifies any misunderstanding and if you have any additional questions, we would be happy to answer and assist.

    Thank you,

We appreciate you taking the time to tell us about your concerns with your recent shipment with us.

FreightCenter is a 3rd party logistics company; therefore, we do not handle or transport freight;we simply connect the shipper to a carrier.

As such, the liability lies with the carrier because they are handling and transporting your cargo.

It appears that our Bill of Lading wasnt presented to the driver at pickup.  Without our Bill of Lading, the freight carrier doesnt know who to bill for the shipment. It was brought to our attention on 6/12/25. We have followed the procedure to correct the error. It seems that the carrier goes to your area once a week and should deliver on 6/25/25.

You are welcome to pick it up from the terminal, which is 20 miles away, if you would like it sooner. You would simply need to let us know so that we can arrange that.

We apologize for the experience you have had. We do understand how frustrating delay times can be. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions.

Product was severely damaged. We were also charged extra for the shipment due to larger dimensions. Our package was palletized on a 40" x 48" pallet and they charged us for 60" +. When asked for proof of that, they stated that we had to provide proof. We sent them photos and they stopped responding to our emails until we said we were going to dispute the charge. At which point, they said that they would send it to collections if we did. A terrible business trying to scam a few dollars extra out of customers knowing that they do not ship often. Their attitude changes significantly after the agreement is signed and they could care less about customer service at that point. Very dishonest company and practices.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns about your recent shipment with us.

Were sorry to hear that your shipment was damaged. We dont see additional shipment protection coverage added to your shipment.  We would be happy to send information on how you can file a damage claim with the carrier for their liability coverage.

We understand billing adjustments are an inconvenient part of the shipping process, and we do our very best to ensure our shippers avoid them at all costs. Please note that all carriers verify the information provided on the cargo they handle and if there are any discrepancies with what was reported during the quote phase and the actual weight, class, or dimensions as noted by the carrier, a billing adjustment is issued.

With your shipment, the dimensions were larger than originally provided during the quote request. This discrepancy resulted in a billing adjustment. The certified inspection report should have been sent.  If you would like another copy, we will be happy to send it again.

We are happy to dispute this with the carrier on his behalf.  As stated in an email sent 4/9/2025, we did request the required documentation to provide to the carrier to dispute the charge. Without the correct documents, we can not dispute the charge.

We hope this information helps clear up any confusion. Again, thank you for your feedback. Please let us know if we can provide any documentation you may need.

The problem is that the freight company is pushing the burden of proof onto the customer. I cannot prove that the package is not as big as they say it was. Besides the photos sent. They should be able to provide to us the photos of the oversized shipment. They did not make us aware at any point that the shipment was bigger than stated until we received the charge. This practice alone should be illegal. Its alike to being charged for something at a restaurant that you never received. How can you prove that you never received it?

If I could select no stars I would. Not only were they late picking up the shipment by 4 days, they did not provide the requested notification prior to delivery. They then sent me an invoice over a week later increasing the charge by over 200%. Weight increasing I could understand but the change of business status with the use of zillo to back it up is unbelievable. My recommendation is to stay as far away from this company as possible

Please note that all carriers verify the information provided on the cargo they handle and pick up and delivery facility types. The agent did discuss that ranches/farms are considered limited access locations. We realize that it is accessible for a tractor trailer, but the carriers will deem it that way.  The carriers use software programs to indicate if a location is residential or limited access.

Unfortunately,we can not dispute these charges with the carrier.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions.

Carriers have the right to deem a location as Limited Access. Certain locations, regardless of whether they are tractor-trailer accessible, are considered Limited Access. The carriers use software programs to indicate if a location is limited access or residential. This is not something that we can dispute with the carrier.  It seems that you had the same issue with another freight broker. All carriers will consider your location Limited Access.

We hope this information helps clear up any confusion. Again, thank you for your feedback.
