This property management firm is not responsive to the issue concerning plumbing in my building I have emailed and called several times since Thanksgiving about a plumbing sewage order and they refuse to send a plumber, they one time had a maintenance guy (no plumbing experience) pour bleach down the bathroom vanity sink. Then asked him if there was a smell he claimed he worked construction too long and had no sense of smell. They did nothing after that I called again and emailed again and the rep said she would email the board. I have called and emailed that I am told the plumbing sewage is a common area problem and I can wait or pay for the building issue myself. I hired a plumber they ran a camera and found the stack vent compromised, they could replace the vent or do a smoke test to see if a smaller section could be replaced. The property management firm has done nothing. Half the time the rep is not there.

The Association has had this checked on at least two occasions. The Board member and the maintenance man were unable to smell any odor. No other owners in her building are complaining of any odor. The Association has inspected the surrounding units on more than one occasion and again no odor was detected. We understand that she believes that there is an issue but the associations investigation has not produced any evidence of an odor.

I am rejecting this response because:

    February 27, 2024

The property management company says a board member came to my condo this has not happened. On 2 occasions, I texted the board member begging him to come over when the smell was unbearable, and he refused. No other board member has ever been in my condo. The maintenance man claimed he was a bad person to ask about smells since he has been in construction all his life and can not longer smell odors. The maintenance man on one occasion poured bleach in my vanity sink. I showed him that the vanity sink required me to pump the drain plug up and down to release air in the pipe for it to drain. He said that was an issue and could be the drain clean out pipe. I called and paid a plumber myself and they sent a camera down the vent stack where it was noted that the vent had be repaired in the past and the area around the junction of the stack to the 2 condo was failing. While the plumber I was paying was here I asked the *** president where the clean out was he told me since I called a plumber, I should look behind the building, he would not assist. I sent the video to the property manager. They want me to handle it.

    Sincerely,

During our HOA board meeting held on 01/11/2022, a motion was made and seconded. Discussion followed, then a call for a vote. The tally was 4-yes, 1-no. Before the board president announced that the measure passed, the *** rep raised her voice and attempted to coerce the nay voter. She told the nay voter that she likes all of her boards to have unanimous votes. Some of the memberships rose to their feet and shouted that the *** rep should stop bullying the nay voter. She continued to escalate the situation by raising her voice over and over. Finally, the president declared the vote count 4 yes 1 no. It was a disgrace that someone who is supposed to advise the board on proper parliamentary procedure, violated that role and continued to attempt to control the meeting.
