I got a very aggressive call from someone a (502) area code claiming that I purchased a travel package and that I owe $6,498.00, they claimed TSG was a parent group of many travel companies, but didn't have any specific account information and try to demand that I pay them the amount stated above. If you see that number, it is a scam, be aware.

We do not have a (502) area code, and we do not charge $6500 for promotional vacation packages. This was not our company who called you.

I told them that I was refinancing my house. That is why I canceled my trip We didnt do it !! Just because, I cancelled 3 hours later want us to pay &****** fee just to cancel. I told this person that we are not going to pay , because isnt fear.I called back today try to booking my first trip now want me to pay another $300.00 if I want to activate the package . What this people are thinking!! that I pick money from the trees, I work so hard to try to scape a different place. *************, We never went to this place it was cancelled for you guys. And now you want me to pay a money to activate back the package. You wish!! You made the decision to block the package. I would like to have my money back, and also I dont recommend no body to travel with this company.

    *****,

When making the reservation we clearly asked you if you were in the middle of refinancing, due to the fact this happened in the past with you making another reservation that had to be canceled (which we were charged). Your response was you were NOT in the middle of refinancing. So we went ahead and made the reservation again. We get charged for the canceled reservation, you were offered to get trip insurance at the time you received the package and you declined. There for we pass the cancel fee on to you. If you have any other questions you can give us a call.

*******, the head of Reservations at *** is the kindest and most helpful person Ive ever met in this field. She helped me make a reservation and then helped adjust the dates. So warm and friendly.

They lied to me about several different items. I purchased one package years ago with the understanding it would never expire. Unfortunately I had major medical conditions that required multiple surgeries and was unable to use any of that pkg. I was later contacted again about another pkg and again with knowledge that these packages never expiring, I purchased this pkg also. I was still dealing with surgeries and medical issues and told the sales person I would not use this while healing. Knowing this they said this wont be a problem, so believing this I purchased the second pkg. So here I am trying to use these services and now they are saying I owe even more for incidentals. I explained to them this was never told to me and they acted like I should have known and I should just pay it in order to go somewhere. First they tried to tell me the packages were expired, which I told them I was told they never expired so he backed off of that. This company is a scam that is just taking money from people and they are getting away with it. They wont give my money back and I wont be able to use either pkg as I am retired and cant afford their incidentals and go on vacation also. This company should not be allowed to continue without letting people know there is more money to be charged each time you want to book a trip. They are scam artists taking advantage of people hoping to travel. Now they want nearly $1000. Just to book a trip plus I will responsible for taxes and transportation and other typical expenses other than the room itself. All these years waiting to use these vacation deals and just another ripoff. I would not advise anyone to purchase anything from this company ever. Very very expensive ****** learned, would love to get a refund or at least have this companys ethics and integrity checked. I dont know how people sleep at night. I will pray for them.

    *****,

It doesn't cost money every time you book, but your package is 6 years old. Any vacation you go on you will always be responsible for transportation, taxes, and incidentals. We always let you know that on a recorded line. You can always give me a call at ************ and we can try to get this resolved for you.

This company calls my husbands phone number regularly. They tell him hes paid hundreds of dollars to them for credit to take cruises and if he wants to use the credits, he needs to give them another $898. + $150 in travel insurance. The amount $898 is always the same. Their flyers and confirmation documents look like something an eight year old could create in ********* Word. My husband is in early dementia and this company continues to take advantage of him. Ive had to cancel credit cards, close checking accounts. Im very frustrated that these folks cant be shutdown.

    ********,

We had no idea your husband had dementia. I have blocked his number from the sales floor. We travel people in their 70s & 80s all the time. If you guys would like to book any portion of the package give us a call at ************. Also, the packages are fully transferable, you can give away any portion.

My husband received a phone call from the Travel Select Group in 2021 and we decided to purchase the vacation package. The package does not expire and included 8 different vacations. We took our first trip for our 20th anniversary January 9, **** to the ***************************************** in ***************. I call TSG at least twice a year to get information on my package. The customer service agents are always helpful.

I stayed at a *************** that was recommended by customer service. The resort had a wheelchair accessible shuttle that I could use to visit not only the amenities on property, but even the local grocery store. The amenities offered were amazing and we were still able to get to many tourist attractions at low out of pocket cost. Travel select recommended a great property for myself and family. I look forward to scheduling my next vacation.

When I DID finally try to book a trip for ***** of 2023, just 2 days in a city on their list with my mom, I was told I needed a voucher first. I was trying to book 3 months out. It took forever for them to send me something, then it was going to take them even longer to process it. They don't cover taxes, resort fees, parking or transportation so there isn't much of a deal here anyway. We NEEDED to get our trip booked more than 30 days out. Since they stopped answering their phones when I called, then wouldn't return my voice-mails, I feel scammed. I want my money back! We had to book with someone else! This company drags their feet then completely quits on you! Just terrible customer service, no real deal, and maybe no trip at all in my case!

******, the 3/2 bonus trips are booked through vouchers that have to be mailed out to you. They require a ***** day notice and the traveler is responsible for transportation to and from the resort as well as any taxes and resort fees, which we make very clear during the verification process and also in writing on the confirmation letter for your package. I show that we sent one to you on 3/21/23.

I did check the phone system, and I don't see any incoming calls from the number we have on file for you since March. Is it possible that you are trying to reach the company that books the 3/2 bonus? Either way, I will contact you directly and try to help out any way I can to get this trip booked for you.

We just returned from trip #1 of our vacation package. A had been given a list of hotels in ********** and ************, and researched the lot of them and whittled it down to 2 - *************** and ***************. My promotional package cost more that what we would have paid for *************** for 5 days/4 nights had we just booked on our own (*************** was well maintained and clean with a great river view, but it isn't somewhere I would normally stay), SO the truth in whether or not we made a financial error buying this package will come when I try to book the remainder of my vacation package offerings. You do pay for resort fees, and at ***************, the taxes and fees equaled about $80 for our stay. Cons: We usually plan travel withing 30 to 60 days and twice this didn't work out for the package. To be fair, I was trying to schedule during spring break, and the ********* properties were sold out. I also tried for Memorial weekend (coincided with high school graduations) and those were sold out as well; however, I did get accommodations for the week after Memorial day weekend. A lot of the places have less than stellar reviews - run down, bed bugs, etc, so you really have to do your research. You do get the voicemail quite a bit. I've only spoken to ******, so I don't know if he is the only one there or not. Don't leave a voicemail, because mine were never returned. Just keep calling. I'm currently trying to get info for vacation #2 and haven't been able to reach anyone today. The sales pitch you have to sit through is 120 minutes - not 90 minutes. Do your research on that company - Global Discovery Vacations - beforehand. The verdict is still out on using Travel select group. We will see what happens with my carnival cruise offering and additional included vacations.
