In January of this year, we were advised that a property management company would be taking over the lease of the home we have lived in since May 2019 for the owners. We were told that the rent would be raised to 1300. We told the Manager that we would not sign the lease until they came to look at the issues that we had in the house. They came out saw the leak, saw the electrical problems, and looked at our sprinklers that never seem to turn off. He discovered that our ac unit was not hooked up correctly which caused our sprinklers to run constantly. It was at this time we found what looked like mold in our house. They told us to file a maintenance request, which we did . For the garbage disposal we were told that it was our responsibility to replace. No one ever came to look at the roof, to do a mold inspection, or to fix our broken sprinkler/ AC hook up. In the meantime, my husband has been to the ER three times since October with symptoms that are linked to mold toxicity. Still, we paid our rent each month. In June, we were told our lease would not be renewed, which was fine because we were not planning to renew it anyway. A week later we were told we were being evicted for noncompliance. This was done in the form of a letter from the management company, not a court order. We were told that we had not allowed them access to our property for maintenance. They never requested it, on top of that we gave them a key to the residence, which was lost. Because of them not sending someone to inspect the mold that they saw with their own eyes, we did not pay July's rent, we advised them we would give it to the court house. They changed the eviction to Noncompliance, and not paying rent. Since then Michael Bray, the property manager has harassed my husband, messaging him up until 9pm once. And now that they are trying to evict us, they are finally sending people out to look at the roof, and perform maintenance. They didn't try to fix anything until now.

This review is not factual nor truthful. Tenants refused to sign their lease agreement and were sent multiple reminders to do so, denied access to our maintenance personnel to do repairs, and are now refusing payment on rent due. They have been issued multiple notices for access, and now multiple notices of noncompliance. We follow the Florida statutes with regards to leases, notices to tenants, and evictions. Copies of all notices are on file and a record of all notices sent to the tenants is on file. This matter has been referred to our legal department for further actions which the tenants have been notified of as well.
