We sent Clint and Briant Daws (co-owners of Peaden AC and Plumbing) a complaint letter and got no response. Following are excerpts from the letter: In October 2024, we contacted Peaden regarding purchase and installation of a tankless water heater. Your salesman urged us to sign up for “preferential service” which, because we intended at the time to be long-term clients, we agreed and promptly paid the fee. We issued payment totaling $10,693.20. For the next four months, we had delayed and sporadic hot water, at best. In the following months, we repeatedly called to advise that the problem persisted. On the third post-installation event, which we requested, another technician advised that we needed a “booster.” Although the booster shaved off five minutes, it proved ineffective. In addition, that item caused leakage under the kitchen sink, which cost us money to repair. Not having hot water for months, we contacted another company. Within 24 hours, they promptly and fully corrected the problem, writing in their $843.75 invoice the following: Peaden installed a tankless 6 weeks ago and didn’t hook up the dedicated recirc line that was there from the previous water heater. Some parts of the house take up to 20 minutes to get hot water. This estimate we will hook up that line from inside the garage and run it outside to the recirc outlet on the tackles. We will then set up the recirc settings to be sure hot water is recirculating through the home. As a result of the remedial/corrective work performed by this other company, the disturbing Peaden events were 100% corrected with hot water almost immediately available in the bathroom and kitchen. Unfortunately, because of the negligent installation and the repeated failed attempts to correct the problem plus the unacceptable inconvenience of lukewarm, at best, showers for three months, we can not trust Peaden to do anything for us again.

I called Peaden plumbing to fix a leaking faucet. I had the parts which I got from Delta free. When the technician arrived, he looked at and called the office to get a quote. The quote I got was $500 to fix the leak with my parts or $800 to replace the whole faucet. No discount from the parts I had. I got a local handyman, that works for many apartments, to fix the leak for $100. And it works fine. It appears that Peaden does their best to bleed you, even if you have an elite membership.

They did some electrical work a few weeks ago for $741.00 after a so-called discount. After some research on the parts I could have bought the parts at Lowe's for around $158.00 before my military discount. So, $583.00 for labor for 45 minutes of work is outrageous! I bet this same logic is ture for the other work they did for me is the same outrageous labor rates. In addition, thier so called member plan is a joke can not request a time or hour window for work. Need appoinments on my time line and not the companys. Furhter more I had to clean up after the technican left wire clippings on the floor.

I should have learned from my first experience with this company. Last year I had a garbage disposal installed and I had a quote for it. Suddenly they were trying to charge me extra for a switch to turn it on. Why would you quote someone to install a garbage disposal without an on switch? I complained and they did lower it as it was their mistake. I even joined the membership thinking it was just one issue and would not happen again Today I had someone here to look at my clogged sink. He quoted me $452 ( that’s with my discount for members) it seemed high but I agreed. He started working and then informed me he needed another piece of equipment so he went and picked up a different snake and finished the work. At the end he said it was an additional $150 because he needed to get more equipment. It’s always something extra every single time with them. Canceling my membership

My wife contacted Peaden Plumbing to get a drain clog in our bathroom cleaned out on 2/17/2024. Peaden said they would be out between 11 am and 5 pm. The Peaden plumber came out that afternoon and quoted $561 to clean out the line and I gave my approval to proceed. The process to clean out the clog did not work so the plumber said Peaden would require a charge of over $800 to clean out the clog from the inside by removing the toilet. The plumber removed the clog within 5 minutes after he removed the toilet. (Total time plumber was at my house from start to finish was two hours). My final bill was $875. So my complaint is why wouldn't Peaden honor original quote of $561 to clean out a clogged toilet line whether outside or inside of my home. Instead Peaden decided to charge me at $437.50 per hour for the 2 hour job which consisted of the same 2 hour labor for cleaning a toilet clog at $561 with $50 in parts.

Peaden told me I needed a new AC after I told them I had a breaker that was causing an issue. They quoted 15,000. I called another very honest company I’ve learned. He replaced the breaker. Less than $500.00 later my AC was repaired and running great. I have the quote as proof.

My elderly mother had a circuit breaker pop! Called Peaden because we see it advertised all the time!! I’ve tried to resolve my concern to no avail, as if 8/13. I reside in a different state and wanted a trustworthy company to address her issue. So we booked the $55 special to evaluate the breaker box and find the short. In short, the final bill for the faulty light switch wiring came to $927.00. The estimate for replacing her breaker box (house built late 90’s) was $10,174.00. So, I believe this pricing says it all!! It’s really sad when you feel taken advantage of - sorry mom!

Peaden came and told us our smoke needed to be replaced for $800! We got a second quote and the smoke detectors were still up to date and no need to replace. Peaden tries to get money for things not needed to be done
