            A subscription owned by Carol B ***********, deceased, was charged to my account with USAA on February 26 2024. for the month of March. I informed them on February 27 of her passing and to cancel the paper and refund the March charge. I called 5 times, the 4th was with a rep. Ray on march 22nd. I just called again today, April 1st. Her account # is ********* 2809 ****** St, Panama City, Fl. 32405 ************. I am Joseph ********* her partner for 23 years. The paper is owned by the Gannett Co. Inc. I am sorry to take your valuable time for this small amount, it is only because of their negligence. Thank you, Joe S.

            In November 2021, I signed up for the News Herald's "Holiday Special", which provided 26 weeks of the Sunday only edition for $38.39. I figured that adds up to $1.50 per edition, half of the newsstand price. Today, I receive a renewal notice (after only 10 papers) saying my subscription ran out February 13, 2022. I called the News Herald and was told that they issue 2 "special editions" per month at a cost of $6.00 each. The special edition consists of an insert in the Sunday paper, something they failed to mention in the advertisement for the holiday special, so after only 10 weeks of the 26, my account has gone from $38.39 to $11.73. I told the account specialist to immediately cancel my subscription and refund the $11.73. What a total scam, flim flam, or whatever applies. If I never see another edition of their newspaper, it will be too soon. This should be illegal!!!!
