3/12/2023 *********************, the owner of PSL Moving & Storage lied about everything. She told me her movers were top notch and they were in fact the bottom of the barrel. They broke the top off on a lift top coffee table that I had custom made for me. They never told me they broke it and when I tried to lift the top which is very heavy it almost broke my hands. Obviously they were too lazy to lift it from the bottom and instead lifted it from the top and it detached from the hinges. They damaged the bridge on my TV wall unit and when they brought it back the damage was not fixed and they painted it dark grey when the rest of the bridge and wall unit is ivory. They broke a large platter I bought in ***** that was hand painted and signed by the artist. They picked up a TV by the screen (their handprint is on it) and cracked the liquid crystal ******* They snapped the base right off a tall three lamp stand. I am missing 2-3 boxes of kitchen items. My couch was filthy and I always kept it covered so it had no stains on it when it left my house. Most of my wood furniture has scratches, stains or was chipped that did not exist prior to this move. ********************* kept begging me to send her money before the move was complete so she could pay her men!! How does she run a business like that??I sent ********************* 3 e-mails regarding and itemizing these damages with a cost of $2780.00 for replacement and repairs. She never answered any of my emails. This is not a person or business that you ever want in charge of your possessions.

      Business response

      03/20/2023

I received this and to my dismay, and have been trying to get with ******, because I receive about 2 to 3 hundred emails a day, and have 4 email addresses.  I have never seen any emails she claims to have sent me, and I had never had her email address.  I have proof of that in well over 100 text conversations with her.  I have texted her to please send them to my email: ******************************************** so I can respond.  I've also attempted to call her to discuss the issues she has, with no response.  I left a voicemail, as well.  I texted her that I would be attaching you these attempts, along with numerous pictures of the text messages we sent each other.

On August 25th, I received a call from ************************* to have us pack and move her from her residence in ***************, ** to her new residence in **********, **.  We texted each other back and forth and spoke about what she was taking, etc.  I also have a Used Furniture Store called Tropical Treasures, which she was very glad to know, because she had furniture she didn't want.  I also collect donations for *********** Services, in *********, **.

On Aug. 29th, she sent me pictures of the furniture we would be trading for boxes and supplies and donations.  As you can see from the attachments the couch, coffee table, and some dishes and a table were to be given to us the day of the move.  I also have proof that she had quite a bit of help doing previous packing prior to us getting there.  When that is the case, we don't insure for breakage for boxes packed by the owner.

***** had very many health issues she was dealing with, and very stressed the whole time until the move.  I even sent her homemade chicken soup and chicken with rice to help her.

On Sept. 26th, my men packed what was left in her home, hoping to get her moved because Hurricane *** was supposed to be hitting the Tampa Bay area.  We put everything we could in her garage for the next day load, but unfortunately, the Hurricane took a different path directly over her area in Northport.  Therefore, we couldn't move her until it passed.  She was unable to get in touch with anyone at the complex to see if there was damage, and this took a few days.  Unfortunately, her unit she was going to move into was heavily damaged.  Therefore, she had to stay there, until it was repaired, causing her to have to move into Storage here in the ********* area.  Fortunately, I had a 10x30 unit that I had just rented that was $500 per month.  We agreed to share it at $250 and would put her thing in it and I would put mine in front of it, once her things were in it, as I only needed it for less than 2 weeks for another customer.

She was very stressed, with everything in boxes, and had very little room to move around in her home, so at my expense, I sent my Leadmen ***** and ***** there to get boxes moved into her closets and from the garage so she could put her car back in the garage.  I did this because she started to find things wrong with how we packed her and complaining about the men.  It was very clear to me that she wanted credit for what she said was poorly packed and even said she had things broken in boxes that she opened.  I told her i needed pictures of the broken items, but she told me she threw them away.  As for the crack on the ** housing  that was done the day we packed, we didn't pack it (I think) and it was working fine.  This went back and forth until I agreed to not charge her half of the storage ($250). It was agreed by her that was for anything done to that date.

In a situation like this, we both were aware that the move was going to be much more that she had anticipated, because now it was essentially a double move.  This, of course, was not due to anything that was done by my company.

On Oct. 27th, we loaded moved her things from the house and kept them on the truck overnight unloaded it into the storage the next day.  She had decided not to go to the storage facility because she wasn't feeling well and went down to ********** to stay with her friend.  My men gave her a yellow copy of the 1st day load only.  ***** let her know they would be getting it unloaded the next day and I'd text her the amount that was due!  I offer 5% off on the entire move if the customer uses Zelle to pay for the move the same day that we finish.

She sent me $1000 toward the 1st day move with a balance of $422.  on Oct 28th, they unload into storage was that total was $902.  I sent her a text message showing her the balance due of $1324 on Oct. 28th.  I also told her that we used the entire 10x30 instead of 1/2 so an additional $250 was going to be charged because I wasn't able to use it.  I also asked for her to please pay the balance as agreed.

I kept trying to reach her with no response on the 29th, 30th and finally on the 30th she texted me she finally could look at the bills.  She texted she didn't get the credit for the 5% off, and I corrected the bill, showing the total was $1208, not $1324, and to please Zelle me the funds ASAP.  Due to the weekend, I had checks that wouldn't clear until Tuesday, and I had some automatic insurance payments that would hit by Nov. 1st that I couldn't stop and it would overdraw my account, and I couldn't pay my men until she paid because of this.  Finally, she paid me the $1208 on Oct. 31st.  3 days after we finished the job.

On the day we moved her out of storage on November 14th, we loaded the truck and unloaded on November 15th.  I had given her a Flat Rate of $2000.  My men worked very hard and got everything moved.  When they were finished, she started screaming at them to get out of her house, and she wasn't going to pay anything.   *******, one of my leadmen, said they weren't leaving until she paid the $2000, as agreed.  I finally received it, and they left.

As you can see, there has been no texts from either of us since Oct. 14th showing her the truck was loaded, and so full, we had to put our equipment outside of the truck.

One of my men that had worked for me for several years, ************************* lives in **********, and now has his own Moving Company.  We keep in touch and he occasionally works for me to date.  He called me stating ****** called him, because she is moving again, and he went there to give her a quote.  She told him about the move, and he let her know he was very surprised to hear of her experience with our company.  She showed him a broken platter and the the coffee table, and he said it's just got some screws that came loose and it was an easy fix.  Since she did quite a bit of her own packing, and didn't get with me on the broken items, I don't feel that I am responsible for any damages she is claiming.  I already gave her $500 off the move for the Storage and 3 hours for my leadmen going to straightening up the boxes.  That charge would have been 3x$160 ($480) plus $40 fuel surcharge.  $520.  $1020.00.

I had no knowledge of this until I read the complaint.  As you can see,  I asked her to send me the information, but has not sent it or emailed me.  I have several other pictures if you need them.

      Thank you,

      *********************, Owner

      Complaint: 19592763

I am rejecting this response because:

Almost everything ********************* has said in her response are untrue. I have the three e-mails that I sent her to different addresses that she has posted and she claims to never have received. I had breast cancer surgery and I have been going through 21 days of radiation treatments and have been unable to respond to you until now. I will attach the copies of the emails to this response if I am able to and Im also not sure if you received the pictures of the damage her men caused. Also the person she said called her to tell her I was moving again told me he quit working for her because he didnt like the way she handled her business.  I have had no communications with ********************* since November 15, 2022, when i moved into a temporary rental except the e-mails I sent her that were never answered.  I believe that she owes me money for the damages her men caused.

      Sincerely,

      *************************

The copies of the pictures and emails will not attach to this response so I will have to call you on Monday, April 3rd, to find out how I can send them separately

      Complaint: 19592763

I am rejecting this response because:

It occurred to me that ********************* remarked that she never saw pictures of the damaged items.  This morning I made an attempt to convert those pictures into PDF format in the attachment above.  I hope they are legible.
The following is an explanation of each photo:

      1.  This is the ** that was working perfectly the night before they removed it from my home.  By the time the *** movers got it to ********** it no longer worked.  When the Direct ** installer tried to hook it up to Direct ** in the villa I'm temporarily renting this is what showed up.  Obviously the liquid ******* was damaged after leaving my home and getting to the villa because of poor packing and handling by ***.

      2.  The next 2 photos are of the large hand painted platter I purchased in ****** *****. You can see the damage done to it by poor packing and handling by *** movers and you can see the artists signature in the second photo.  I have several other of his pieces as I love his work. This piece was sent to me from ***** to ******** with no damage and was not damaged when I moved to *******.

      3.  The next photo is of the lift top coffee table that was specially designed and made for me.  Both springs on the sides are bent and broken.  It was badly damaged by the *** movers as it is obvious that they tried to pick it up from the top instead of the bottom.

      4.  The next 2 photos are of what used to be a 3 lamp standing lamp.  *** movers snapped the lamp post off at the base and it is leaning against a chair for the picture.  The second photo is of the base showing where the stand was snapped off.

      5.  The next photo is just one example of the damage the *** movers caused to my furniture.

      6.  The next 2 photos are examples of the damaged condition done by *** movers to my boxes when they were delivered to **********.

I hope that you are able to see all the pictures.  If you have any questions please email me or call me at ************.

Again, thank you for your help.  This has been a very difficult time for me with my health and the anxiety caused by the damages done by *** movers

      Sincerely,

      *************************
