On May 5th, 2022 I enrolled into a prep course for the ******* of ************************** exam. I work in *************** for the hospitality industry and for my career advancement, have to take a certified exam. Broward college was offering a prep course that is meant to fully prepare you take and pass this exam. The class is 3 hours twice a week, and began on Monday May 16th, 2022. After the first class I wasn't satisfied with the way the instructor was "teaching" as she was reading the material straight from the learning center (which we all have access to), wasn't allowing time for questions, and clearly didn't understand the concepts. I emailed and asked about being withdrawn from the course and issued a refund. I sent the form in on the 19th of May after the 2nd night of class, and didn't receive a follow up call until May 24, 2022. On this call, the individual only provided their first name and no call back number. When I tried to call the same number back, it required a last name or extension, to which I didn't have. I then emailed twice before hearing back from someone to explain the situation further. I finally received notice on June 9, 2022 that they wouldn't be refunding me with no explanation. They told me I could withdraw and take the course again in the fall, however, my exam that I had to pay for is scheduled in July and they told me to reschedule my exam! This is a requirement for the advancement of my career and I do not feel I should have to reschedule my exam because their professor isn't teaching appropriately. I would like a refund.Business response

Broward College complies with Florida Statutes and Rules regarding establishing the residency status of students for tuition purposes. In this instance, we are pleased that we were able to guide the student about how to complete their submission of paperwork and the matter has now been resolved.
