****** payment information including date, transaction number, amount and total amount paid. Your Transaction ID: 1RXXXXXXNXXXXXXXX Merchant Transaction ID: 1RFXXXXXEFXXXXXXH Purchase Date: March 26, 2022 Payment to: Panhandle Exotics *******@AffordableReptiles.com Total amount charged/payed: $1220.10 I had bought a red fox from panhandle exotics down in Pensacola Florida for the amount of $1, 220.10. On agreement of purchase I was under the impression that payment submitted also meant animal purchased would be transported with all proper transport documents along with age appropriate vaccines. Upon receiving the fox I was informed that the pet store panhandle exotics had signed a rabies certificate not only under their store name but also under my personal name as well. The animal had no vaccinations no flea preventative was not on a proper diet as the shipper had no direction to follow band had never transported a fox. Also the shipper had the fox in a state of illegal ownership for 10 days. This is something the pet store knew about and had initially caused disagreement due to the fact that my billing address was in the state of Texas at the time of purchase. So due to the fact that not only did I receive an improperly papered animal that was not given age appropriate vaccines, the pet store signed my name and signature as acknowledgment for an exempt of rabies as well as the improper nutritional care while in the transporters home which is in the state of Texas and is very much illegal to house own care for or otherwise facilitate or provide a shelter for a red fox as texas law prohibits even transport of a red fox through the state. With that said there was lack of care lack of human and animal safety forgery upon many other moral obligation indifferences and corner cutting and law breaking actions that the exotic pet store had partaken in. My animal was at any point in time at risk of being seized. I could have lost all invested funds due to no return policy

      Business response

      06/09/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/06/03) */ I don't even know where to begin, so I guess I start here, it has been a NIGHTMARE working with this person. They repeatedly lied about where they are and tried getting the transporter to drop off in an illegal state. We made her send a notarized copy from her landlord to prove she is in a legal state, and refused to ship it anywhere else. NOTHING stated there was a rabies shot given, there was none given, and furthermore, the rabies shot can kill them so we advise strongly AGAINST IT! Also, it is a fox, not a dog, shots are not required, and many vets advise against it, which is why we no longer have them done, and leave it up to the discretion of the new owner. In regards to the shipper having it in an illegal state, the buyer had the option to pickup, however, chose to have it delivered, once the animal has left our facility with the 3rd party shipper, it is in their control as far as the schedule of the route and when delivery will be. Also, the transporter holds a FEDERAL, USDA license, which means they are legally allowed to go through states that would otherwise be illegal, so long it is not the final destination for the animal. All services promised were rendered, customer is blacklisted from any future purchase with our store. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/06/03) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I do not accept the response from the store and the reason being is for one he continuously would ignore and refuse to acknowledge every time I asked if I could pick up from the store. This is even with the proof by notary from the landlord. Shipping was canceled twice. One of the shippers was ground so transported by vehicle had an incident so that was canceled. Then the second shipment should have been by airline again canceled. Third shipment I was promised a delivery date of May 15th that was pushed out to May 26th. Then again pushed out to June second. Although that is according to the shipper and not necessarily the stores fault on that particular specified shipment date or receivable date, I still feel that I made very strong and attempt valid attempts to reach a reasonable resolution. Never did I request shipment or the like to an illegal state. I had simply asked the first shipper if they could meet me on my way back home to Utah and Oklahoma City since that was the route she was going and it was agreed by the shipper before she had to take some time off due to a injury sustained while on the job. When the first shipment was canceled I was told that there would be the delivery refund. Nothing was stated that I would be required to pay for this shipment even though I had made very point blank direct questions asking if I could pick up. I have many emails I can forward and or attach as a visual proof of each and every unanswered attempt at contacting along with many conversations where it started with the question of the availability to pick up or ended with that specific question. To add, vaccination of rabies and distemper is unlike dogs. That is correct. But as for them not being particularly of a potential health benefit, is incorrect. Foxes are known for rabies and distemper, and subsequently and indoor outdoor enclosure such as mine, which was specifically built for the fox does have potential of coming in contact with a wild species that could be contaminated with one of those very deadly diseases. Proper ownership means that you familiarize yourself with the health safety precautions and going above and beyond the typical pet owner. Foxes are not pets and they are not meant to be treated as a cat or a dog. This concluding my vet recommendation along with panhandles, who the certificate of no rabies vaccination held on record was issued through both Recommend killed viruses for those specific vaccines. If done correctly by a knowledgeable vet who is highly experienced in Fox health and taking precautionary measures in order to not potentially spread very highly contagious diseases, these vaccines are a great way to protect environmental and household animals alike that may come in contact. With that stated, Yes, a typical cat dog vet might be an educated and provide a modified or live virus strain of vaccine. That would potentially prove to be potential for them to retract the virus from the vaccines and become infected with the disease It's meant to prevent. That is a fact. But by no means did I get my knowledge by your ordinary vet. I specifically was in contact with Hillman which is the vet panhandle used to certify the Fox in question. Along with the exotic veterinary I personally use. As well as research and many hours of preparation so I would have a well established enclosure to properly house said animal. I don't wish to do anymore business with the company. I'm not asking for a full refund. I'm simply asking for an apology for one. To not slender me for two. And for three reimbursement for the shipping that I on multiple occasions requested, was told would be received and then denied the ability to pick up the animal. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/06/03) */ As the website states, there are no refunds given. You weren't able to pickup in FL, because you don't have a FL class 3 permit, which means it would be a misdemeanor charge. You paid for transport, and that service was rendered. As you stated, transport with the first transporter was canceled due to issues beyond their control, we tried shipping with the airlines, however, temperature is controlled by God, not a pet store, and since it was over 80 degrees, the airport rejected the shipping on the date of transport, which we then reached out to another transporter, who did complete the shipping process and delivered to you in UT. The fox and shipping were paid for, the fox (the healthy fox) was delivered, any and all obligations by our business have been completed and this matter is closed. Also, the transporter was sent with food to feed during route, as well as a starter bag to give you which you weren't charged for, if this wasn't done, we need to know so we can use someone else in the future. And again, regarding fox vaccines, yes, they can get rabies, no the shot isn't approved nor is it recognized and should a bite happen, the animal will still be killed, the shot is worthless and offers ZERO protection in any sense. Also, the puppy shots are made for just that, a dog, not a fox. Different species, please educate yourself on the matter and make your own decision, this is the reason we do not give the puppy shots, although some vets suggest them for fox, others recommend against it. That is a right of the new owner to make that choice, not ours. The health certificate clearly states no rabies vaccine, or other vaccine, was given, don't you dare insinuate that I falsified any form or paperwork! Never have I falsified any information, or put incorrect information on a form. Also, the health certificate is filled out by the vet, not us. Heed this written warning, and false negative reviews, statements, comments, etc., will be considered libel, and handled as such. Any further communication to us will be considered harassment, we are done. If you have further comments, please forward it to the *** Law Firm at XXX-XXX-XXXX and reference "Panhandle Exotics." Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2022/06/06) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I don't accept the response. No given supplies came with fox. Was given blue wilderness canned food. Transporter had no paperwork for me to signature. Stated my signature forged. Business requests no further contact by myself and will oblige. Shipper advised still over charged for services rendered Per their fee schedule.
