I hired Allegiance Van Lines to move my ************************** an 50 boxes. No furniture. I contracted for 500 sq ft. They called the day before 4/8 and asked if I was sure I didnt need more space. I could reserve more but only pay for what I use. Ok The trucking company showed up on 4/9 with a U-Haul truck and was not prepared to take the bike so they left it and took only 50 boxes. Original quote with 500 sq ft was around 2600. It jumped to 4800 with extra space. They left on 4/9 and said it would take 1-3 days for arrival. On 4/11 and 4/13 the subcontractor called and told me I needed to send him $1991 for delivery. I have called multiple over the weekend and today: They just put you on hold. They wont give me a *** on delivery and now the subcontractor is saying because he hasnt been paid he is not delivering my items. Every phone #, text, email etc all goes back to the same person. ****** and **** will not help me. I would like my bill adjusted to the space that I used and I would like to receive my item s ASAP. They broke the contract when they showed up unprepared to take the bike. I didnt even use 500 square ft but am willing to pay for that even though the bike was included in that quote and they.eft it behindBusiness Response

This "complaint" is riddled with lies and disinformation. ***** suffers from drugs and alcohol abuse, runs in her family unfortunately. She is trying to extort our company for a free move by slinging libel and slander. Never have seen such egregious remarks out of a customer. Disappointing small businesses have to suffer at the hands of the entitled and mentally unstable. Complaint should be closed and marked resolved.Customer Answer

The response from on Allegiance is very disappointing and unprofessional. I hired ALLEGIANCE to move me, they subcontracted with **** Moving. **** was not prepared to move my $20,000 Harley ******** therefore they (EZPZ) broke the contract. They took 50 boxes of my personal belongings and no furniture. The photos reflect the space that I used on the truck. They are refusing to adjust the amount of the bill to what was actually used. The subcontractor is calling me telling me I need to pay them if I want my items. The move was on 4/9/25. According to the contract they have 1-3 days for 500 miles and 3-7 days for 500 miles plus. Today is Day #6. No one will answer the phone. If they do they just put you on hold. No one can give me an ETA as to when the truck will arrive. I simply would like my things delivered and am willing to pay the ******* which I had to wire to a bank. They did not take the motorcycle and therefore I should not have to pay $4800. I have gotten nothing but the run around since the moment they pulled out of the driveway. I have perishables on that truck that they should be responsible for replacing along with my time and energy of fighting with a company that has no morals or standards nd should not be in operation periodCustomer Answer

The truck looks nothing like it did when it left *******. Items are damaged and missing. I did not use 800 cf and would like to have. Refund on footage I did not use. They did not take the motorcycle. The driver had no paperwork. No inventory list.Nothing. They held my items until I paid another $1700 which I did. Only to find my items missing or damaged. They went through my boxes and then retaped them. I am horrified that people can do business like this. Now I also have a claim for missed and damaged property.Business Response

Allegiance was contracted to move my Harley ******** and 50 boxes- no furniture. I reserved my space of 500 cu ft. ****** from Allegiance called the next day to ask if I would like to reserve more space just to be sure. So I reserved 800cu ft. To which I was told would be prorated if I didnt use all 800 ft.. The movers showed up with a U-Haul and nothing to move the bike with nothing to strap the bike down with so I would not allow them to take my bike. They broke the contract by not showing up, unprepared to move my motorcycle. They since then subcontracted to easy Peezy, who then subcontracted to ************* to which ************* a.k.a. easy Peezy wanted another $1700. All Im asking for is they adjust for the square footage that I did not use and refund my money. I am missing four boxes. I have items that have been broken, boxes that have been destroyed in my items are missing. This is an unprofessional company that should not be in business.Initial Complaint

My moving team showed up as late as possible on pick up day with half the people I was promised. The dispatch team never called me to let me know they were coming. I had to call them again and again, then when I couldnt get in contact which happened a lot, I texted their line where I was treated very rudely. The movers and the company try to negotiate separately so they are both asking for money and when I asked for resolution I was met with silence. Its now business day 10 of having nothing. Im at day 14. My contract says 4-10 business days "average" and I havent even been reached out to with an ***. I have called about it, but nothing. I still havent received my inventory that I was promised on packing day.Customer Answer

I had booked w Allegiance van lines. I had been told movers would arrive Sunday 2/23. They didn't arrive. I called and was advised that was never the case. I was then told between 10 and 2 Monday. I received a text at noon stating they'd arrive at 6 pm. I found that odd. 6pm I got an update they'd arrive at 7. My husband had to go up the road to get them because they were lost. They arrive. No English spoken. They advise us we didn't reserve enough space. This had to be done thru a translator on the phone. We had to get a new estimate. It was outrageous but we had no choice. We had to wire it to Allegiance van lines. They pack our items in the ******** is now 2am. They get stuck in our driveway and my husband had to pull them out w his truck. It's now weeks later and I get a call that my items need to be delivered. I had agreed to a "veteran discount" with ****, the booking agent, of 30 days free w 65 a month after. They advise me that that contract is null and void since I signed papers w the movers the night they took my items. I said they spoke zero English and couldn't explain anything to me. They told me I owe the balance of 2k now. I had agreed previously that it was due upon delivery. Im now being told storage is 780 a month. Im to pay these amounts or I don't get my items.Business Response

****** was picked up within her 2 day pickup window by very hard working and efficient movers. Majority of her complaint is relative and has no bearing on services provided. She could have used ****** translate if the language barrier was such an issue. She was provided with 30 days of storage, a revised estimate due to additional items and services needing to be rendered. We are an equal opportunist with our employees and contractors and do not appreciate racist customers looking for full refunds and lacking accountability. Please close this matter, as internally it has been resolved.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
There were zero racist remarks. It was a fact that they did not speak English. I should not have to use ****** translate to communicate. Send a supervisor that can relay information and can explain through new contracts. I just moved to *********** where everyone speaks Spanish. So, clearly that's not a problem for me. What is an issue is that they couldn't find my house. They tried to call and I called back to explain where it was and they couldn't even answer to get the directions. My husband had to go get them. We saved you a tow truck bill at 2 am. When my husband towed the truck out of our driveway. Because they couldn't manage the truck on the ice. How is it appropriate to even be at a residence until 2 am?We specifically asked **** when we booked with him if he was a broker. He said NO. He also said he gave me this amazing veteran discount for storage of $65 a month. Knowing another company was going to pick our items up anyway and they were going to store it anyway.
The entire booking system was based on lies. I told **** ALL we had. Nothing changed. Yet when the movers arrived there was just not enough room.
Sincerely,

Allegiance Van lines contracted my move out to **** **************** Which holds both of them accountable. The driver was to show up on March 7th for pick up never arrived until the 8th at 3pm. I signed an agreement with Allegiance for $2925.90 on 2/20/25 and paid ******* on the 2/20/25 through ****** for 724 Cubic SQ FT a 24Ft Box Truck only holds 1500 Square Cubic Feet.I paid the driver the $838.00 through Cash App for the origin fee and signed the paper work through DocuSign. ( Tis is important as to when I signed the paperwork)While the driver was loading they call me to tell me I will owe them another $3850.00 for the extra space on the trailer. The Dispatcher **** said I had to pay the money or they would not take my belongings to MD, to which they gave me 6 different pay pals and Venmo to use all but 1 had been flagged through the ****** as SCAMMERS. Finally get them paid - and requested the paperwork be sent to me with the extra monies paid. Today 3/10 I get the paperwork with even more money being charged and I never signed the document but my signature is on the paperwork saying I still owe them $2464.41. I am being charged for 1724 square cubic feet when the truck only holds 1500 square cubic feet and more on destination and origin fees that I was already being charged. **** trucking service went into the DocuSign I signed and edited the document without my consent.Business Response

Hi ******,
We showed during your two day pickup window, you were called prior a few days prior to check on the update on services and items needed to be moved. You declined to go through your inventory again and said we did not have any updates. Come to find out on the day of the move you had over twice the amount of stuff as mentioned by you on the initial inventory. We will try to help you through this, but complaints and peddling misleading and misinformation online doesn't help much. This is borderline slander and defamation without cause. We ask you update your findings, and we will be in the office should you decide to contact us to go over your gross discrepancies

Ms. ******* is either confused or purposefully lying trying to recieve free items. I will list the facts and then it can be decided by the BBB. Ms. ******** documents have TWO ESTIMATED DATES. They were the 7th and 8th. As Ms. ******* admitted, we showed up within those dates.
Ms. ******* was provided documents to sign prior to showing up on site and on site when she signed off on the items.
Once Ms. ******** items were loaded on to the truck, after agreement and before we were aware of any confusion or lies, Ms. ******* disputed her credit card charge for services that have already been rendered. Not only is this dishonest, it causes an issue where we can not deliver any items, as services are not paid for. Please be advised that while he items are safely with the licensed and insured truck, this situation must be managed prior to delivery and all services must be paid for.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:1) I have the text messages from the company and forwarded them all
2) The agreement was signed on the after the ****** was paid on the 8th
3) The agreement was for 7th pick up not the 8th.
4) Calling me a LIAR is unprofessional and untrue
5) The latest text says the overage was due to my couch - WHICH IS STILL SITTING AT MY HOUSE in ********
6) I have NOT Disputed anything with my credit card company - They have received $5100 in total and all their lies and dishonesty has lead to this point. I have the receipts from my bank account. I do not use credit cards.
7) I signed the Docu Sign and ****( dispatcher) Went into the document and edited it without my knowledge. This is why I download and make copies of EVERTHING and 2 different versions were sent in this complaint.

Date of Incident: Sunday, January 19, 2025 I am filing this complaint to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service provided by *************** Name]. The issues we encountered were numerous and unacceptable, and my attempts to seek resolution have been met with dismissiveness and poor communication.Issues Experienced Inadequate Staffing , Unprofessional Hiring Practices, and missing items The moving truck arrived with only one mover, forcing my wife to assist in moving heavy furniture upstairs. We were informed that the company sought additional help through ********** the day before our scheduled delivery, which is entirely unprofessional and unsafe.Damaged Items A stair tread and a bookshelf and a puzzle table were damaged during the move. Two of our storage tubs were severely damaged, with broken pieces and other trash left scattered in our driveway.Missing Items totaling around $1,500+ in lost goods Several of our belongings were lost including:Two bookcases Two unopened childrens ride-on vehicles Sideboards for our two boys' beds ********************** Issues During pickup, no stickers or labels were used. I was assured our items would be kept separate, which was clearly not the ******** of our boxed bicycles was nearly delivered to two other customers before us. If my wife had not noticed during unloading, it would have been lost entirely.Communication Failures We were promised a call from the ***************** team 37 days before the first available pickup date, but this never happened. Instead, we had to follow up ourselves and only received confirmation at 8 PM the night before On the delivery date, we were notified at 2 PM that our items would arrive either that day or the next, but no specific timeframe was provided. Attempts to reach the driver took over an hour, forcing us to cancel plans. The delivery was ultimately delayed until the following day due to the driver not being ready Efforts to resolve this have been ignored and delayedBusiness Response

They continually pass blame to the driver of the truck and tell me he will call me. I am rejecting this response because: they have promised call after call and some form of resolution. I have not been getting those. I have done everything they have said including reaching out to the driver since he will not call me, even though he claims I have been. I have call logs and recordings to show this is not the case that they are claiming. They continually gas light me and say they are calling and giving me instructions but I have done everything they have asked including calling and following up since they are not. They are now getting to the point where on two separate occasions they have hung up on me and said there is nothing they can do. I have recordings of these calls to prove this. I have done nothing but be compliant and patient with them.

I am rejecting this response because: This is the original receipt to the vehicle transfer. Nowhere does it mention no refunds. No I did not sign any contract, Im not sure if that is a favoring on your end though because your broker shouldnt have taken any money without me legally signing the contract. I feel as if I was taken advantage of and this was his plan to raise the price up last minute because we mentioned we were desperate and he was aware that I didn't sign a contract. I was giving the company the benefit of the doubt that they would do honest work. I wasnt told til 3 week after we paid , a few days before the car move date that the laws changed in ********** and I that I owed and additional $750 to make the move happen which didnt seem truthful to me so I requested my refund . Even if the laws did change I shouldnt have been financially affected because I paid before the law was changed and we had a verbal agreement.

I hired Allegiance *********** to move my things from ******* to ******** on December 26. The amount they quoted me was $2, ******. They committed to wrapping my furniture to protect it and to disassemble and reassemble anything that was in need upon pick up and drop off. The drop off date was supposed to be 1/6/2025. This company somehow had me working with different companies without my prior knowledge. At some point I was working with ********** and when it was said and done, my belongings were delivered by ****************. I was charged a total of $6,049, a $3,083.45 difference from what they said I would be paying. My belongings were delivered over a week late on 1/14/2025 and there was damage to some of my things. They did not drop my belongings off to my door. They would only drop it at the maintenance office leaving me to have to move it up to my apartment alone and reassemble the furniture that they disassembled at the time of pick up. I tried speaking with management multiple times to find out why there were so many different companies I was being moved around to and to find out why I was being over charged but was unsuccessful with getting any answers. They did not try to resolve any of these issues with me.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I was quoted one price but charged a significantly different price. I was also told my things would be delivered to my place but instead it was only delivered to the maintenance office of my apartment building and not reassembled as promised when I hired the company. Furthermore there was damage to some of my things. I was not informed I would be working with multiple companies. I am an elderly woman and I ask many questions to get a clear understanding of things and what I would be paying for. I was misled about many things by this company. I also do not understand what the company mean by, I did not tell them of no delivery. I would like an adjustment on my bill.

The contractor Lucky took me for a total of $1000 dollars above agreed contract, did not deliver $800 dollars in audio and power tools, received email of forged document have another unknown contractor show up with no bill of lading or any paperwork, and contacting me for gas money while in route for delivery, after I paid 70% of the delivery fee. Allegiance/Owner was emailed on all events happening in real time, yet did nothing to recover my missing items and falsely billed money.Allegiance confirmed the contractor charges are BS by email, and told me it was my responsibility to recover the money. The contractor kept insisting $5000.00 more dollars or he would not deliver my stuff till the 30 day limit. Which only applies to weather or mechanical issues. Extortion was the game in my opinion.Glad Im a suffering cancer patient and a Military Veteran. This why they wanted me to hire them. Imagine if I wasnt?SGT.CCustomer Answer

You can see ALL 4 of the attachments with refunds attached as well clear text exchange thanking us and him receiving all of his items etc. We are sorry he feels the way he does. But these baseless accusations hold no merit. We need this complaint rescinded based on the attachments showing factual evidence as opposed to his hearsay or inability to remember the events accurately. I am rejecting this response because:The refund they sent was from the original contract. It was the agreed deposit to be returned, not the overcharge.
The $1000.00 owed is on the clearly forged contract by their contractor. You can see where he wrote over the $6300.00 to $7300.To use the original contract as a reference to making the correction is laughable at best. Im not confused. They are misrepresenting the paper work. Like ignoring the forged contract and the agreed contract. It is their text that states the charges are BS!

Understood. Well played. So as its my first time doing this. But not ***. They knew how to respond. How to best the system. I always try to be appreciative in such situations. But the fact is, I now understand I never had a chance. Its quite obvious that the BBB is a shadow of what it was once thought of.
Its all good, thank you for your response. Im greatly more educated to why a business can take advantage of honest individuals. I understand this case is closed as your organization is now toothless in a quest for the truth. Im sure the reasons are political or economic gain. As dishonesty usually is.
The BBB was regarded as a fair strong path to resolution. Things change, not always for the best.
With regards and sincerely best wishes in your endeavors. I mean it. I dont take it personally.

I hired AllegianceVanLines to move me from *********************************** to *****************************************************. The move was scheduled for and items were picked up on October 28, 2024. Items were not delivered in ************ until November 15, 2024. We were expecting to pay and agreed to pay $3024.29. We paid $1600 prior to the move during the reservation process. I was very diligent about keeping my inventory list up to date, noting all changes. Items were packed per their instructions, glass items wrapped in cardboard, dresser drawers emptied, etc. *********** that showed up was called Master Movers. After items were loaded, they informed me I needed to pay an additional $4500 on the spot. I was given the option, pay or we unload. ******* ****** covered the additional $4500 on his Credit Card, paid on the day of move. An additional $3400 was due on delivery, they insisted on limited payment methods, including Postal Money Orders. Day of Delivery, the delivery company attempted to charge $100 fee TO USE AN ELEVATOR. furniture was not put together and furniture was not set up as agreed. (FYI..This was a move of a 2 bedroom rented townhouse, zero appliances, zero bed frames, zero box springs, zero entertainment centers) It did include Minimal furniture, boxes, totes. I feel I was the victim of a bait and switch scam.Business Response

Hi ******, we provided a thorough estimate process with an itemized listed inventory and due to extenuating circumstances as outline in all of the e signed paperwork from you as well as listed on our website, we reserve the right to utilize a local agent. Although, we were not the ones to move you, we still tend to you throughout the move process as promised. This is the first we are hearing any of this nearly 2.5 months later after your pickup. We will look into this, and do what we can within our control. We apologies for any inconveniences and hope to see this through and remedy any shortcomings you may have faced. I am rejecting this response because: The company did not offer a resolution. On the day of moving, after the truck was loaded, I looked into the truck. It was not loaded per the Household Goods Movers guide. Items were not stacked, floor to ceiling or wall-to-wall. Leaving an exorbitant amount of dead space around the items, thus increasing the cubic footprint used.
On the day of moving, we contacted the *** customer service rep ********** and were told, she couldn't be on the phone with us all day, and she had other customers to assist. She promised a call back and never called.
Upon Delivery the Delivery driver, was rude, uncooperative, verbally violent, yelled at me in my new apartment, and physically spit multiple times at ******* when told he could not throw moving packing rubbish into the dumpster at the apartment complex.
Yes, it has been 2.5 months, we have been moving, getting settled, working overtime and honestly cooling down from the emotional and financial strain and duress that AVL and their unreputable associates put us under.

Well this is quite the accusatorial complaint without any visual proof provided from the customer. As you can tell from our attachment, we have a total nearly 2 hours of talk time over the course of several different days, over 30+ minutes on the day of the move. You can hear in the recordings there weren't many issues. The cost of the move was within 10% of their original estimate. Delicate items and/or items we deem that may be a liability we will not stack on top of one another, you are entitled to indeed pay for the space taken up, of course. We are sorry they feel the way that they do, this is never our intention. They can contact the office to remedy the situation if we are able to do so amicably and within reason. I am rejecting this response because: 1) In the response *** stated the final payment included an allowed 10% over the estimate.. This is incorrect.. we were quoted roughly $3500 and ended up paying roughly $9000. This is far beyond a 10% increase. 2) Per the request in the response I called AVL on 01.29.2025@************** to resolve this. I initiated the call @ 12:18PM, ******, identifying as a manager answered. We talked briefly, she put me on hold at 12:28PM, stating she had 17 more calls she had to take... she left me on hold until 12:58 PM, and did not return to the call. I allowed her 30 minutes to return. I then disconnected the call, and am entering this rejection. As a customer, I feel this shows a very blatant disinterest in solving this matter. If someone from AVL operations would like to contact me they may.
