      The truck drivers were awesome. Very nice and professional. The office workers were another story. They don't call you back, are not helpful, do not communicate with the drivers, and don't care about customer service.

      I would not recommend this company if you want all your items delivered safely & in one piece. Several of my household items were lost & damaged. Not please at all with the lost claims department and funds received for my lost & damaged household items.

      American Van Lines: A Moving Nightmare - Avoid at All Costs!I recently hired American Van Lines for my move, and it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. They failed to show up on the scheduled moving day, leaving me stranded with no communication whatsoever. Despite my numerous attempts to contact them via phone and email, they completely ignored me, leaving me in a state of panic and uncertainty.Due to their negligence and complete lack of professionalism, I was forced to scramble to find a last-minute replacement, incurring significant additional expenses. Not only did I have to pay for an unexpected Airbnb stay, but I also had to shell out more money for a new moving company. To add insult to injury, I am now facing the possibility of having to pay an extra month's rent, which will cost me thousands of dollars.American Van Lines offered a refund of my deposit and a paltry $250 as compensation for the "inconvenience," but this barely scratches the surface of the financial burden they have placed on me. My total losses are already in the thousands, and the situation is far from resolved.I strongly advise anyone considering American Van Lines for their move to look elsewhere. Their complete disregard for their customers, lack of communication, and failure to fulfill their contractual obligations make them an unreliable and untrustworthy company. Save yourself the stress, time, and money, and choose a reputable moving company that will actually value your business and treat you with respect.*************************, *****************************, *****************************************, and ******* were some of the unprofessional and deceptive employees of this awful company

      Urgent: All My Furniture is Missing and Immediate Resolution Required *******,This issue needs to be resolved with your company immediately, or I will take action with the BBB and a lawyer. My boyfriend and I scheduled a move from ** to **. We never received a call notifying us that the drivers were coming; they arrived at our house unannounced. Upon arrival, they informed us of a $300 fee for the truck they needed to bring, which we accepted without dispute.Subsequently, we were informed of an additional $2,500 fee for storing our items until July 1st, a date that was agreed upon and never previously mentioned to us. After discussing with the dispatcher, we agreed to be in FL on June ***** to receive the delivery. We contacted our apartment complex, changed our move-in date, and paid additional money to move in early, then drove down immediately.Now, the movers have informed us that they cannot deliver until July 7th. We have a 9-year-old son and are currently staying in a hotel because we have no furniture or any of our personal belongings. We call every day, but no one returns our calls, and we have not been able to speak with a manager. This situation is completely unacceptable, and at this point, our items are missing.Please address this matter urgently.

      Almost all of the information they gave us was incorrect, which caused us major issues.They picked up our stuff one day prior to the pickup date they confirmed with us, outside of our contracted date range. We only received one call from the dispatcher 20 minutes before the truck arrived - no other warning. Our contracted pickup dates were Mon-Wed, and they came on Sunday (they told us their trucks don't even operate on Sundays). We were told we either had to move that day, or wait potentially weeks for another driver to come, which was not possible for us. So we had 30 minutes to finish packing in unexpected chaos.They outsourced our truck/labor to another company, which we were told at the beginning that they don't do. They told us to expect a truck driver and 2 movers, but only one person (the driver) showed up.Their lack of communication is abysmal. Our moving coordinator was very inaccessible and didn't contact us with any pertinent info or updates. We instead had to call them multiple times to get updates, always talking to someone new and getting wrong info. They didn't even know our stuff had been picked up outside of our contracted time until we reported it.The driver said he'd be at our new place (across the country) in 3-4 days. We were originally told that delivery should take between 8-10 days after pickup. AVL said if we weren't there when they tried to deliver, they'd charge us $2800 and put our stuff in storage until the next driver could come (could have been weeks). We had to make emergency and costly arrangements to make sure this did not happen.AGAIN they delivered one full day before their confirmed date (they said Monday 6/17, but they actually delivered Sunday 6/16). No communication from AVL about this, they had no idea.AVL offered us only $150 for their wrongdoing, but it came with a stipulation that we couldn't write bad reviews about them. I'd rather share the truth about our horrendous experience than accept their hush money.
