I am writing to seek assistance in obtaining a refund for the overcharged moving costs I have incurred.Throughout the moving preparation and process, I received a total of four moving quotes (Job #: *******), with three of them provided to me in PDF format. However, one quote was not disclosed to me. Upon examination, it became evident that the final quote provided to me was egregiously overcharged. While the previous three quotes utilized a rate per pound that encompassed transportation, shuttle, and bulk fees, the final quote, which I was charged, separated the shuttle fee ($874) from the rate per pound. And the stair fee was $117.73 overcharged. Although they agreed to refund the packing fee of $444 (as the initial contract included all furniture packing), the total final cost of the moving should have been $5,397.67, consisting of $5,160.40 (inclusive of transportation and shuttle fees) and a stair fee of $237.27.However, they unjustly charged me $6,407.11, resulting in an overcharge of $1,009.44. Despite my inquiries for an explanation, they failed to provide a satisfactory response and merely asserted that this was the final price.Consequently, I am formally requesting assistance in obtaining a refund for the overcharged amount.Furthermore, due to their persistent evasion in providing accurate bills and attempts to defraud and overcharge me, I am also requesting compensation of $1,000 for the inconvenience, stress, and time incurred. It is worth noting that they previously suggested a compensation of $600 in light of the fraud issue, but an additional $400 is warranted for the overcharging of the final price.Moreover, I have separately reported their fraudulent practices of manipulating the weight of my packages to the ***** (Complaint ID: **********. I want to highlight the ongoing attempts to overcharge me through illicit means.I trust that prompt action will be taken to rectify this situation and ensure fair treatment.
