This business has transferred ownership 3x, the last of which was late 2021 (after my installation). I, unfortunately, never got the pleasure of working with the 2nd owner whose reputation I read about in reviews before making my purchase because the salesman ,Terry, took my deposit 11 days after that owner had died from Covid w/o divulging that the owner had just died (!) placing me in a precarious position where my contracted 3-year labor warranty may not have a company to uphold it. I’m not sure (a mere 11 days after the Owner died) if the will had even been read identifying wether the deceased owner left the company to someone or not: and yet they took my deposit without letting me know this very pertinent information, knowing full well ONE possibility is the business would close and the 3-year labor warranty I thought I was getting would be worthless. During my installation the estate was in probate, the wife/girlfriend the co was left to was looking for a buyer, and the 1st owner was suing for an unpaid debt (which the clerk of courts lists as still pending). The legalities of selling me this contract without divulging all this I am uncertain of but it feels VERY unethical. Jason and his crew (the installers) no longer work for this company. They were nice and capable guys… however things happen on a big construction job like this, and on my job this included missing door handles (20k and you don't get door handles!) and a small punch list (including water damage of my ceiling from their door leaking). This is Gulfstream's warranty and responsibility.... And yet going into FIVE MONTHS since my project finished I still do not have these small things resolved. They were a no show for the last scheduled appt made for this (no call, email etc., that they would ot be coming OR an follow up) and my patience is gone. I don’t have things I paid and contracted for and there seems to be little to no interest in upholding the 3-year warranty of a previous sale.
