    I have attached the Letter I sent to the Audiologist to try and resolve the situation that goes into more detail. The synopsis is: - I paid Atlantic Audiology LLC $5,398.00 on 01/17/2022 for my first set of hearing aids - Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) calculated I should only owe $742.77 - I should have received a refund of $4,655.23 ($5,398.00 - $742.77) - The actual refund I received your Atlantic Audiology was: $2,185.00 - Amount of refund still due is $2,470.23 ($4,655.23 – $2,185.00). The Refund Amount still due to me exactly matches the negotiated insurance discount rate between Atlantic Audiology and BCBS, aka “Member Savings”. Atlantic Audiology says that they are not going to refund my Member Savings. One person from the organization said I would not be getting it back because I signed the waiver. Another person says they do not owe it to me because they sent me the total amount they received from the insurance company. Atlantic Audiology has offered to take my current hearing aids back and give me lower level hearing aids within the actual amount of insurance benefits I received. They also offered to look into giving me a full refund. I have gone through the appeals process with BCBS and they have confirmed that the insurance benefits have been calculated correctly. The waiver I signed is vague in some statements such as saying "for any other reason," regarding amounts patients are responsible for. They do not follow through with their statements in the waiver such as "Atlantic Audiology will attempt to secure an accurate estimate of any insurance coverage for devices." They did not do this, and my insurance company says Atlantic Audiology never called them in the year prior to me actually placing my hearing aid order.
