This company installed a new roof on my home. This was approximately the beginning of the year 2022. It is now August 1st. When installing the roof they put holes on the ceiling of the interior of my home. These are 18 foot ceilings where damage occured . They ripped siding off of the side of my home droping old shingles to the ground.(THree stories High) There is tar leaking on my fascia all around my home from underlayment tar. The shingles used on the roof are defective in color. Owens corning has agreed to replace the shingles and labor to install. Or pay me a small amount to live with the color variation with full warrantie intact. They will not pay for other materials used because the roofing company used different brand other then owens corning. Farrell roofing port richey florida offered me 700 dollars to repaint my fascia (estimate 2000 dollars) repair my siding (3500 dollars) and i have not even bothered to get drywall repair at this point because farrell just refuses to respond to my grievances. Also this is 3 story house. I have submitted proffesional roof inspectors report @ a cost of 1050 dollars. I have submitted droan photography. And I have letter from owens corning out lining everything mentioned here as truthful and accurate. Everything mentioned has also been submitted to farrell roofing. week after weelk month after month one story after another. Now they want everything resubmitted again in email form for the purpose of having a paper trail I was told. I submitted evrything hard copy to include extensive photography and all reports and letters in person. This is just another delay tactic. Owner is always unavailable or out of town to discuss these issues with noone else authorized to make any decision. I am 100% disabled veteran and I can not get up on the side of this building to do this work! SHAMEFUL!!!!!Business Response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/08/08) */ We completed your roof on December 30th, 2021. After the completion you reported a pea size hole in the ceiling next to an existing repair patch. In good faith we agreed to repair the small hole. We scheduled the repair to your ceiling on January 4th, 2022. We have documentation showing that you received notice at 10:19am on January 4th, 2022, that morning the drywall repair crew was heading to To address the piece of debris that fell and cracked a piece of siding along the side of a window, at that time, we recommended for you to get an estimate for a repair, and we would cover the repair. You reported that the repair was going to cost $700.00, and we wrote you a check for $700.00 and on said check states "Refund for Siding Damage - Final Payment". Regarding the staining on Facia, Picture #0643 which you provided shows staining behind our newly installed metal. The stains will not clean off, which is an indication the stain is a bleed through from the fresh paint over existing stains. These areas should be primed and re-painted to prevent future bleed through. You've stated Owens Corning outlined everything you mentioned here as truthful and accurate, this statement is misleading. Owens Corning only agreed to settle on a slight variation in color from sample to shingle. It is very common to have a slight color variation between samples and shingles and this is stated by Owen's Corning. In good faith you were offered new shingles or $5,000.00, and you choose the $5,000.00. We want to sincerely thank you for your service to our country. At Farrell Roofing, we pride ourselves on Customer Service and Quality Work and feel we have gone above and beyond to resolve these issues. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/08/10) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The check from Owens corning is for color variation however it has never been cashed until all grievances are resolved. As I have already told your rep. You never spoke to me regarding the 700 dollars. Your office sent the check to me before my approval. On calling your office you provided the name of a person to do the repairs. I never gave you a price of 700 dollars that is a lie! That person never made contact with me or responded to my calls. Check was deposited and awaits your contractor to do the work. Before this attempt you sent a crew to my house to do the siding work and they had no equipment or obvious knowledge of how to do the siding work. This work must be done from the bottom to the top as your representative knows. you can not just change a piece in the muddle. You must change out the entire hip of that section as your sales rep also knows. estimates ranged from 2500 to 3500 with the latter being the most reputable As for the drywall, you sent out two guys with no scaffolding to patch three holes in my 18 foot cathedral ceilings. A temporary patch was made on one whole from the top of the stairs using a putty knife and spackle taped on the end of an extension car washing brush. Provided by me as they had nothing. No paint just an ugly patch on a million dollar home. Another whole was pushed back in place and is sufficient as is. one in closet was never addressed for lack of notice. As for the tar leakage read the report it was sent to you complete with arial drown photographs. Same package sent to Owens Corning .This is a professional reporting service that does nothing but roofs inspections statewide for over 20 years complete with engineering and adjusters 1050 dollars paid so far lab fees for tar on siding will be additional. Your metal drip edge does have stain it did not stick heavily because it has no painted surface as does the fascia below it. Your salesmen rep is fully aware. Owens corning also offered to pay you to put new shingles on at their expense and labor costs as well. However they will not pay for the tar leakage because their lab determined that their shingles where not leaking. since you did not use Owens corning under lament or tar or any other materials from them. therefore they will not be responsible for your poor workmanship. Your rep told me that you choose not to redo the roof since there would still remain the issue of the siding and the fascia paint and cost of materials not purchased from Owens Corning as claimed on you website. You want to try to push your damage off on me. Are you really that kind of company. Why should I bear any costs when I have now invested 23kn in what was supposed to be a 16k job. You did the work your rep said any problems would be fixed immediately. You can fix my house by painting my fascia and fixing my siding or pay me a legitimate sum of money to have a contractor do the repairs. I had all the fascia pressure washed and painted prior to your work. (all invoices provided to you) OC offered 5k to me to live with shingle color not to fix your damage. They also offered a full warranty with that offer. Time for you guys to step up and fix your damage. Also the supplier delivered to my roof the same number of square that was used on my house. So the claim of those 15 brand new bundles of shingles thrown off of my roof into your dumpster truck (on camera) was due to another job being delivered to my roof to save delivery fee. Obviously why your entire materials list was redacted. As the inspector said he thought my roof had old or defective shingles installed. I told you what you need to do to make this right or you can take all the roof away and refund my 23k for the job I have paid in full after a 16k estimate. Your crew came with 30 sheets of plywood and left with 4. I was charged for 28. I was brought 2 sheets from home depot at 30 dollars a sheet but I was charged 85 dollars a sheet on the contract. As far as the additional 700 dollars your rep offered me again as a settlement for all of this damage, I have to say insufficient funds to do my repairs 3500 dollars siding repair 2500 dollars three story high painting tar leakage 1050 dollars to prove what you already know. COME LOOK FOR YOUR SELF MR FARRELL ROOFING!!! If you fell I'm not being truthful call Owens Corning and speak to their resolution agent. I will gladly provide name and number as I maintain accurate records. However it sounds like you already have as your rep got in the middle of my claim with them as well. MR G Consumer Response /* (3000, 11, 2022/08/11) */ ***Document Attached*** Here is a picture of the pea whole size drywall damage as mentioned in response from Farrell roofing. Its quite obvious they where not being honest again. The broom is almost the same size as the whole patch where the plywood came through my ceiling(18 feet high). Full reports have been given to farrell roofing to include drown photos and inspectors photos reports, Owens corning findings. The tar leak started at first rain and has continued to come out. Salesmen /representative told me to deal with the office he is no longer wants to discuss the matter since he can make NO decisions. I'm tired of the run around I'm receiving from this company. Office says they cant do anything without owners consent. They never call me back. Complete files have been submitted to Farrell roofing and has also been submitted to DBPR. Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2022/08/11) */ ***Document Attached*** all these reports and many many photos where supplied to Farrell roofing. Their claim of pea size drywall damage will be submitted tomorrow its more like the size of a baseball.
