    Purchased flooring 8/31/23. Partial install 9/12, Thresholds to be done later. 9/26 went to Jays Floors re install concerns: mismatched planks, gaps from wall, cut in the wood. Assistant would talk with *** & get back to me. 10/6 *** and assistant visited home to see concerns. *** said cut in the wood was a pencil ***** Not true. Asked if I had flooring materials left. I did. Said he would talk to the installer, arrange for the work to be fixed. 11/6 text re status. *** replied-we would talk tomorrow. No response. 11/9, sent text-had to remind him of issue. His response: no longer working with installer, not going to fix floor but would come out to give quote for transitions (which I had already paid for.) 11/28, went store to get itemized bill showing what had been ordered & labor. . Never received. Staff could not provide. During discussion, was told 6.5% charge in addition to material/labor. Asked what for, employee said 6.5% added for them to make a profit-that they were entitled to make a profit. They were to work with staff to get invoice. Never heard back. 12/12 or 12/13 went to return 2 transitions ordered incorrectly by staff and get an invoice. The employees called the other office location to get itemized invoice. Were told only *** could approve the release. I asked that they call ***. Couldn't reach ***-said they would have him call me. I said I did not want him to call, just wanted invoice. Staff made no effort to return the supplies. 12/13 text from *** stating I was not to enter his store again, no refunds, that his employees dont deserve to be treated the way I treated them & that he would not do any further work for me. I did not yell or treat the employees badly. I insisted that I am entitled to an itemized invoice & should have been informed of all costs. 6.5% should not have been added to the cost w/o being disclosed. Not providing detailed invoice & adding undisclosed charges is not right. No information ever provided re no returns/refunds.

    Visited the store to inquire about purchasing some crown molding for kitchen cabinets, there were several people just sitting around talking amongst themselves, made me feel like I was bothering them; I was given a business card for the person who deals with this. I called and left a message twice. I again visited the store and mentioned this; I was asked to give my name and number and they would contact that person and ask that they call me. Still no call back after 3 weeks.I found another dealer who was able to help me order what I needed within 15 minutes!

    This review does not reflect the environment we provide in our showroom. We have had some periods of time where we have been short staffed, but we do try to treat everyone with respect and follow up with anyone that visits our showroom. 

    ****' philosophy is to be the friendliest showroom in the industry, and this will always be how we train our employees to be. This is a highly unusual complaint, as we have never been told in the past that our staff did not attend to people promptly and efficiently.

    I apologize if you did not receive the attention you needed from our staff.
