I rented a house in ********, ** on the ***** of June 2024. Upon arrival the house was filthy as if it was never cleared before our arrival. The shower constrained a substance lining the bottom that appeared to be mold. The pool was disgusting, lots of debris and what appeared to be bird p*** They do not leave a pool cleaning net or we would have. The grill has NEVER been cleaned and one of the burners is not igniting. The coffee pot was very moldy with old used moldy coffee sitting in the coffee tray. The back yard, the which is the epitome of a good vacation with a pool, was not mowed and also contained lots of tree debris, appeared to have not been mowed in weeks. Overall dirty mess of the entire house, floors need swept, stains on a pillow, needed mopped, the overall cleanliness and lack of attention to detail was not what we expected out of a vacation rental. The pool was advertised as being salt water, but it was chlorine and the *** management company confirmed it. That is false advertising and luckily none of my family are allergic to choline. I reached out to the property manager *** and they said they would send someone, 2 days later we return to the rental and a shower curtain and coffee pot in a box disassembled where laying in the porch. I guess we are in charge of setting up their coffee maker and hanging their curtain. A physical human person came on the 25th to look at things. He just walked around stating that it wasnt mold, the pool was cleaned last week, and the housekeeper was there the day of our arrival. Then he left. On Monday the 24th, (our very last day at the rental,) a pool man came and finally cleaned the pool. I learned the management company *** blocked my phone number and quit dealing with me or finding a resolution, I then contacted Vrbo, they told me I should have called sooner and well why did you stay for the whole time, I handed you $2600 and nobody was helping us, should I pay $2000 more dollars on another rental.? We have inspections done before all arrivals and have photos of the whole house before their arrival, the pool company was there the day of arrival as well and there was a pool skimmer, there is also rainy days and so there is to expected leaves etc. that's why there is a pool skimmer. They were supposed to stay at another unit they booked and then were not happy with that after booking and we were nice enough to move then to another house when we didn't have to. There was no mold we had 2 people come out and look at it. She also did not contact us until after 8 hours of them being there so most complaints I can't prove were there before arrival. We have a strict 2-hour policy for complaints for this reason, she was harassing us and threatening us but stayed the whole time. We got them a new coffee pot and shower curtain as soon as she showed us the photos. She paid less per night then a hotel and still thinks she should get a refund which I denied. I refused to speak to her anymore due to the threats and the harassment. I have attached a few photos of before arrival.
