January 21 my husband went to buy a car at drivers Mart. His name is ***** *****. After running his credit, the dealership excuse me the loan company asked him to put down $4000 at that time. The salesman offered the option for me to cosign at that time. I said no. So they kept trying other banks to see if my husband could get a lower down payment that option was not successful so we addressed me cosigning for my husband. We went outside for a few minutes to discuss it to make sure that the decision that we are going to make is the best one for us. They attempted to run my credit as cosigner, but because I had a freeze on my credit, I lifted it temporarily so that they can run the credit we had to come back the next day. They told me everything was good. Everything was approved. We can just comment on the paperwork and take the car no money down we put we had to pay for the tag. Wow, thats fast forward to last week when I received paperwork from the loan company I was not a cosigner. I am the primary owner of the car that car was for my husband. I was not supposed to be the primary owner now the debt from the loan is sitting on my credit report. I called Driver smart last week. I spoke to ********. She is the finance director. She told me that they do this all the time and Iasked her. When were you going to tell me because if you had told me that I wouldve said no, I was already saying no, but of the details and the deal that we made with the dealership it is fraud . And they do not wanna do anything about it to help me theyre like oh youre married and Im like thats not your business and that is not your decision to me. You dont control or run my marriage. I have my own car that car was supposed to be my husbands and it is in my name. He is the cosigner not me. They lied to us and they ******* us for a deal. I will not stop until this is addressed and corrected. If we are unable to come to a resolution through the BBB, then I will seek legal action.

Good afternoon,  I have checked with the store personnel who have the most knowledge concerning this sale and no one remembers Ms. ***** having any issues with her contract on the day of signing.
I also spoke to the person that took the phone call last month when she originally called in to the store upset.  Ms. ***** stated that she was upset about being the primary buyer listed on the application/bank documents. The store explained to her that with her consent, she was listed as primary buyer so she and her husband could get the best interest rate for them, and that it is of no moment because the loan/credit account is a joint ownership loan either way. Ms. ***** advised that somebody at the finance companys loan department told her that she was the only one on the loan; the store  verified and confirmed to her that both she and her husband were listed on the contract and the loan.
Ms. ***** was provided copies of all contract documents on the sale date; they were emailed to her again, upon her request,  to show her that she had signed on the loan.  Ms. ***** stated that she felt tricked/lied to about the loan. The store apologized for her feeling that way and explained again how the loan process worked, that even if she was listed as the secondary **************** the loan account with **** would still be joint but it would most likely have a higher interest rate.
Ms. ***** asked about taking her off the loan. The store advised that it could not do that. Any such requests would have to be handled with ****,her loan provider. The store also advised her that they could refinance the loan now or in the future with a lender of their choice to get her removed from it.
There is nothing more to do on this loan. Ms. ***** signed the paperwork eyes wide open and received a copy of her signed documents at the time of purchase. There was no attempt to hid anything and the deal was set up that way to get them a lower interest rate. If she now wants to be removed from the loan, that is between her, her husband and her loan company, but it is highly unlikely they will be able to keep a lower interest rate if she removes herself from the loan now.

I purchased a vehicle and traded my car with no mechanical issues and in prestine condition only had high miles, for an SUV. After 3 weeks with the car it started the raining season and I noticed water in the trunk, and in heavy rain it's a big puddle. I called the dealership and spoke to 2 individuals and they stated there's nothing they can do. Not only is there a leak in the vehicle but also it has eletrical issues that keeps the check engine light on/ off, most likely from the water leak damage, they said it's an "as is" purchase. 1st off if anyone would know there's a leak no one is going to buy it. I just inherited someone's else headache. I regret ever coming here to purchase a lemon.

While we certainly understand ********************** frustration, he bought his car in late May of this year as an AS-IS vehicle. As you can see from the attached documents, we were very clear with him that there was no inspection and no warranty on the vehicle. We did offer our industry-leading 5 day/300 mile no questions asked return policy, but he was long outside of that period when he first reported the problem and thus there is no bais for a return of the vehicle or a refund of its purchase price.

I am rejecting this response because:

They never stated the vehicle was never inspected and as is without being checked. They told me the vehicle goes through inspections before hitting the sales floor.

    Sincerely,

Please see the documents previously provided, particularly item 1 a of the as is sales disclosure. ****************** both signed the document and initialed by section 1a acknowledging that he knew there was no inspection of the vehicle. The words no inspection are actually underlined.

Thus, it is difficult to understand his statement that he was never advised that the vehicle had not been inspected.

We would ask that you close this matter with no negative reporting on the dealership.

I am rejecting this response because:

I was told just sign here that the paper work just states AS-IS, NOT THERE WAS NO INSPECTION. NO ONE ON THEIR RIGHT MIND IS PAYING $20K FOR A VEHICLE WITH NO INSPECTION . THAT ONLY WORKS IF A VEHICLE IS UNDER $5k OR LESS. COMMON SENSE.

    Sincerely,
