*************************************************************** ********************* They cut every corner. Quality means nothing to them.
Shantelle convinced me to buy a house from her and not buy a lot that my wife and I wanted. The "Family Discount" wasn't much, but we thought it was the right place for us in Grande Pointe. We signed a bunch of contracts with Martelle that gave her all the power and we took on all the risk. It was a cost-plus deal. There was no way they would lose money on it.
Shantelle called me at 5pm on a Friday and told me that "It would be best for the company if we re-worked the deal." Shantelle is the company and they wanted to make $200,000 more.
"For the good of the company."

The house we had the contracts on was about to go into permitting. The design and engineering were completed. Colors and finishes were decided upon.
Shantelle put up the house for sale a month later. She used the same plans. Even had the shoe closet that my wife designed.
These are not good people. They have cost me over $150,000 for believing that they were reputable. Martelle employees leave as quickly as they can.
Don't let them happen to you.

In this message you have said you lied for us. I don't know what would cause anyone to stay at a company and then willingly lie for them. I don't agree with the statements above. Martelle works very hard to build a quality home and we have a team of engineers and employees that diligently make sure to follow code and build structurally sound homes.
