    I booked a rental property through Airbnb. After the booking was made I received a message from Oversee to review and sign their contract. Part of the contract stated we were to pay half the total charge to them as a deposit. Then 30 days before our move in date we are to pay the balance, This is not possible as I’m making all payments to Airbnb. A second concern states that they can change the rates at any time. Again not possible as the rate is part of my contract with Airbnb. I talked to numerous people at Oversee about these two items, including the VP of operations. They all refused to take these two items out of the contract. In essence they are asking me to sign an erroneous contract. They stated you and I know you’re paying Airbnb so don’t worry about it. I said no way was I signing an erroneous contract. They just said no problem we’ll cancel your reservation. We’ve rented over 30 Airbnb’s in different parts of the world and NEVER had this happen. Their contract works for non Airbnb clients, but not for Airbnb clients. They are asking me to do something illegal in signing an erroneous contract!

    My family and I recently returned from a week-long Spring Break vacation (3/11-3/18) at Clareon by the Coast. We hope our feedback will aid other families in making informed decisions for their upcoming vacations. The location of this property is exceptional. Although not directly on the beach, the property's location was ideal; it was only a 5-minute walk on smooth pavement to the shore. We were provided with a gate code for a private entrance, which unfortunately didn't work, but a nearby public entrance was accessible. The house was clean and professionally decorated. The well-equipped kitchen met all our needs. Due to COVID-19 precautions, decorative bedding and throw blankets were removed, leaving us chilly at night. We purchased additional blankets from a local store for added comfort. The absence of curtains in the house allowed for an abundance of natural light, which some may find bothersome. The outdoor spaces, including the wrap-around porch with rocking chairs and a swing, were charming. The backyard shed was well-stocked with pool and beach toys in excellent condition. However, the beach chairs were subpar, and we recommend bringing your own. Two major issues arose during our stay. The first pertained to the pool heating system, for which we paid an additional $50 per day. Despite reporting the issue to Oversee, the heating system was not fixed until late in our stay. The technician informed us that the pool had a leak, causing the heating system to malfunction. Oversee offered to refund our fee for the heating system, but we have yet to receive it. The lack of follow-up from the property management team is disappointing. The second issue involved package delivery. Our older daughter had forgotten her shorts, so we ordered some through Amazon. The house had a locked mailbox, and the property management company did not have a key. We were unable to retrieve our package, and the property management company provided no resolution.
