1 starI have never been so disgusted with a company like D&D Air. Reading all of the other complaints makes me nauseous. Just thinking about what I’ve been through for eight yearswith this company.. I try to get them to fix the mess that they made installing it. And when I set my thermostat at 75 it is 85 in the house. Same temperature as outside.. paid for UV light eight years ago never installed. They just finally did and it burned out right away. Have had cold air leaking out of shroud from air conditioner to house always. Realized it wasn’t even on a solid surface they cut a 3 x 3 square on each side of insulation and realized they had made a big mistake eight years ago.. sealed it up I think. And then put. Great Stuff to seal the area between the AC and the house and then sent me a $99 bill. HA they’ll never say that money. Then it rained and water went right underneath they’re so called seal.I agree with everyone 100% that they don’t return call they don’t fix anything and I wish I could sue them, but I have no idea how.. so so much more to add about their terrible company, but I have no idea how to explain it all. THEY EVEN LET MY DEATH AND BLIND DOG OUT AND I LUCKILY FOUND HIM HALF A MILE AWAY. They didn’t help they didn’t apologize. I keep giving up asking them to fix things because they never answer. Or reply.. and if they ever really do come out to fix something, they don’t actually fix it and then charge you for it.. I tried to support a small local company. What the.—— was I thinking ???never again . I still don’t know how to get them to fix their mess after eight years.. some other contractors told me the only way to hopefully get a response is to write bad reviews everywhere that I can. So let’s see if we can do that. SPREAD THE WORD.! RUN AWAY!Review fromMeg K.

1 starNew AC unit installed Jan 2023. Sept 2023, significant leaks caused substantial damage - wall boards, baseboards, rugs. After many calls , they did take out damaged walls and replaced. Since then - multiple issues with the unit - many more leaks, some causing the unit to shut down. Rusty drip pan full of water ( reused from original issue) was placed behind wall and was unable to be accessed. Recently - three more calls for water accumulation that caused the unit to stop working. I have asked multiple times to discuss this issue with management - never received a call back. Yesterdays issue was an electric pump that was sparking.....service man said he would speak to management directly and have them call. so far no call. I have zero confidence in this company and their lack of management attention to their customers is unacceptable. We are considering legal action as it is clear this unit does not operate correctly and is a safety and health hazard.Review fromAshley D

1 starImmoral, inadequate, and incompetent. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I thought I chose a credible company, but was sadly mistaken Purchased a $15k unit from them that was improperly installed 11/2023. It failed inspection in 2/2024 due to undersized wiring that was installed by the technicians. The unit has never operated correctly, does not properly cool, vents drip condensation, drywall molding because of it, PVC fittings broke several times. I contacted them a month later, after confirming the system did not work. For 10 months, I have called, emailed, called some more, and also submitted a dispute with the bank. They keep telling the bank that they are willing to resolve the issue, which diffuses the problem (in the eyes of the bank) only for them to return to ignoring my calls and emails. 11 months after the incomplete installation, the operations manager informed me that they transferred my open permit to the county, which removes their obligation to fix the problem. The wiring issue needs to be addressed by a licensed electrician, which *** ****** stated they are not. They are refusing to fix an issue that was created by them, and I now have to source an electrician at my expense, because they are not qualified electricians. They also sold me service plans that i did not need, nor will never use with them after this experience, I also paid for items that I did not receive. Reception is egregious and should take lessons on how to speak to people. This is now the 12th month without a resolution. If I don't receive a full refund, I will open a lawsuit against the company. I have countless emails, and recorded phone calls to back my case. Not to mention that I am clearly not the only one they have done this to given the previous reviews.Review fromJoseph M

After numerous attempts after telling them I was not renewing my maintenance agreement and after four phone calls, emails etc., another invoice just appeared in my inbox. This as a result of a maintenance call by one of their techs who kept pushing things, I did not want nor need on an overly complicated system from a previous owner. The fellow took a photo of the thermostat for what reason I can't fathom. I have found another authorized Trane dealer who will do the maintenance at a lower price and quickly responds to questions and request. No more, no thanks.D & D Air Conditioning, Inc.

On 9/27/2023 I was made aware of the customer not wanting to continue his maintenance contract and the charge was deleted from the invoice. He received a copy of the revised invoice at 1:15pm on 9/27/2023 and opened the email showing that the charges had been reversed and that the balance was now $0.00. I have copy and pasted the information below showing the charges were reversed.

Seniors that DO NOT recommend using! after spent $12,000. on a NEW Trane AC unit that was installed w/copious bent fins even though Trane said DON'T damage any fins.Still used company 'cuz at time Trane & BBB said OK. Got 1st year svc (12/2021) incl. w/install- made mistake paying $159.00 for USA svc agreement(20% off parts, 2 svc visits annual etc.) They came for 6/2022 but not 12/2022. This June2023 realized they weren't here and made apt. for that contract svc call. Tech came 7/15 after 7/13 apt. canceled. When here I asked to check UV bulb that may need replacemt. He said we didn't have UV until opened case. Then said we had to have orig.("Clean Comfort" 5 yr ballast) and bulb replaced w/D&D Brand "RGF" ballast/bulb 1 yr unit. So instead of just replacing less expens. C/C bulb took away good 2.5 yr left C/C ballast and he told us we would have to pay $145.00 for new 1yr bulb ballast. He brought out IPAD and gave him c/card for that $145.00. I was told to sign blank screen for card.I heard vac outside since he was supposed to vac. drain line but I never looked to see what doin. I had been waiting to tell him about hose for washing outside unit but he never asked cuz when checked security cameras after gone he never went near unit only vac line area. Asked to sign other blank IPAD screens: told me to show he was there & later find out that screen I didn't sign said I am satisfied w/all work. Unhappy w/all called ofc & BOSS was told what happened & said would call me Monday to resolve. Never did! ... I called & asked for emailed invoices-past & present. The new invoice for this svc was now for $162.00 not the 145.00 stated by tech. BOSS was told $145 also & didn't deny. Later on Monday ofc. said "everyone loves" this tech & my security cameras and unclean blocked A/C drain doesn't matter, tech supposedly did what he said on invoice he submitted. Lying.NEVER SIGN blank IPAD screens again! APATHETIC ATTITUDE when problems were explained to office was bad!D & D Air Conditioning, Inc.

We apologize for the confusion and are taking steps to ensure that this does not happen in the future. When your maintenance agreement was not renewed. Our point-of-sale system automatically reverts to non-agreement pricing. Our techs do not have the authority to adjust pricing so unfortunately you were over charged by the 20 percent you were entitled to. We have refunded you the difference. As I explained to you on Saturday, we are replacing all of the many ultraviolet products with a whole new system at the same price as a replacement bulb. As your unit was installed in 2020. you actually still have the same balance of warranty for the new product. we switched to the RGF product because not only is it a superior product ... but, it is a local Florida company any replacement parts and lamp bulbs are more readily available. Supply chain issue's being what they are right now. We feel we can better serve you with products we can acquire easily when they are due and not wait on replacement bulbs. Also, we would love to have access to your video as I feel it would be a valuable training tool. in Addition, we would be willing to send a member of our management team to redo your maintenance at no charge. again, we apologize for any inconvenience you experienced.Amy T

Pursuing a new HONEST HVAC Co. w/integrity, 2, I called, said those damaged coil fins on my new unit could've/should've been repaired w/"comb" type tool. After actions/in actions of D&D techs & ofc. I choose 2 no longer have any contact & would welcome a reimbursement for 1/2 of $80. prepaid svc fee for my work cleaning drain line CORRECTLY & spray down coils (tech never did) & the $50 new svc fee credit sent in "Happy 4th July" email I never received. My time is just as valuable as D&D and it is not my responsibility to compile security tapes 2 train their techs that should've been trained correctly before sent 2 customers. Will send a last email- pics of vacuum containers showing clogging muck pulled out after tech left & then clean water after I did drain line right. As for $145/$162 overcharge, the call the tech was on was under my bi-annual prepaid contract & $145 should've entered system NOT up charge of $162 as no contract customer. Not signing up 4 a NEXT Years contract should have nothing 2 do w/past svc pricing (& I would never know about til c/c stmt cuz never given any invoices until I asked after problems)As for UV replacement I have unit box that shows model # (as a 1year unit in paperwork from you & mfg) not 2 year as told to me by tech at sale & your stmt saying same as my removed unit. You had opportunity 2 get 2 year avail from mfg accord 2 paperwork yet chose to get 1 year my guess so can profit every year w/replacement yet I was told 2 year at time purchase. So much Deceit.Review fromdavid h

NO stars. 'GRIFTERS'... Took advantage without soul... I am (unfortunately) a senior/disabled gentleman. They tried to use VERY aggressive/intimidating 'tactics' at a fragile time between my surgeries. The exploitation of an elderly person or disabled adult is a crime in Florida. It is committed when a person knowingly exploits an elderly person or disabled adult out of their funds, assets or property. The crime is punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, s. 775.084. Florida also allows a civil lawsuit to be brought against a person that stands in a position of trust and abuses that trust through neglect, DECEPTION, or INTIMIDATION in order to defraud his victim of MONEY, assets or property. Specifically, to my experience... They completed aprox. 75% of the 'job' they quoted. Then the installers turned into collection Goons & started demanding FULL payment then and there. When I pushed back (a bit), The collection Goons (Cage & Tre) then put me on their phone w/ Crystal from their office... She immediately started yelling & screaming at me, 'telling' me that I was going to pay the full amount (YELLING) NOW. Then said... QUOTE : "It is part of their job to collect 'the money', They are not going to leave until they get 'the money' " Abhorrent, repulsive, repugnant behavior under any situation regardless of age, creed, color, abilities etc. In close: ***** * (sales) Cage & Tre (installer/goons) & Crystal (?) were all complicit in a premeditated GRIFT !!! (but, not that small - $7k) BEWARE !!! THESE ARE BAD PLAYERS !!! PLEASE, PLEASE DON'T BE THE NEXT VICTIM !!! Don't you find it odd that there are only two (2) other reviews here (?) And they both reflect 5*'s.... hmm (?) NEGATIVE 10 STARS HERE !!! DO WITH THIS AS YOU WISH... THE WORLD IS NOW ON NOTICE.D & D Air Conditioning, Inc.

The customer had a no cool issue on 6/01/2023. Technician found a leak in customers condenser coil. We spoke to customer on 6/2/2023 to schedule the Comfort advisor to go out to give an estimate on replacement of the system. The customer decided at that time due to some health related issues he did not want an estimate. He agreed with the comfort advisor that someone from the office would contact him on the following Wednesday 6/7. The office called and left a message to schedule. The customer did call back and scheduled to have the comfort advisor meet with him to do an estimate for a new system on 6/15/2023. The comfort advisor left a quote with the customer for the customer to review. On 6/19/2023 the customer called back to the office and advised that he would like to proceed with the installation of the equipment. The proposal was signed and the installation was scheduled for 6/20/2023. The installation was completed, other than a pad needing to be put under the condensing unit. The customer told the installers that he wanted to wait until the following week when he could have someone come out to look over the install to make sure it was done properly, to pay the $6,963.00 due at the time the system was started up as per our signed contract. The installers called me to advise that the customer did not want to pay. After speaking to the installers the customer got on the phone with me. I advised that as per our signed contract the money was due at the time of start up, but we would be ok with him holding back $300.00 of what was owed until the permit inspection was completed and passed. Customer paid the $6,693.00 at that time while holding back the $300. The $300 is still outstanding on the account until the permit inspection is passed and closed.
