    On 1/3/2023 the shop performed a smoke test on my vehicle to determine the source of a fuel leak. They later showed me a video clip that showed that the leak was at the gas cap and that I needed to replace the cap and the gas tank tank tube. I paid them a total of $121.24 for the service. Several hours later, the "Check Engine" light came on. Due to the time of day and my location, I was unable to return to or call Accurate Auto. I was able to go to another mechanic, who checked the engine code and found that the error was in the fuel evap system. He examined the engine and found that the solenoid that was used for the smoke test, had not been reconnected after the test. He connected the solenoid and the error message was cleared.The next day 1/4/2023, I called Accurate Automotive and explained to **** what happened. I felt that a refund was in order since the work was not done correctly. He responded that I did not give him a chance to correct the issue. I explained that there was no way I could contact him or return to his garage due to the time of day. He said that "errors happen and that they are only human" and would not issue a refund.

    I reject the statement made by Accurate Automotive of Sarasota.


    I contacted them to perform a leak test on my vehicle. According to them, they performed the test and found the source of the leak. I paid them for the service and left their garage.
    Later that day, the check engine light came on and since I was some distance away from them, I went to the nearest mechanic I knew. The manager and I opened the hood and found that the tube to the solenoid was disconnected. He reconnected the tube and cleared the check engine light. He then repeated the leak test and found no problem. If Accurate Automotive had done the test properly, the tube would have been reconnected and I would not have had to pay for an additional test.
    I went to Accurate Automotive to diagnose a problem. Because of their negligence, I now had another problem to fix, which I had to pay for. Because of this, they should refund the money I paid them since they did not provide the service and caused another problem.
