Purchase 8/11/24 for $15,616.00. They had a company provide a full inspection. Which they stated "vehicle inspection performed all is good." I kept requesting documentation from the inspection and they always had an excuse on not giving it to me. I would have never purchased this vehicle if they would have actually inspected and documented. When I got a second opinion and brought all the issues to them, they were going to replace parts, that they refuse to repair now because I reached out to the attorney general to file a complaint. They also said they replaced serpentine belt, which they did not and when I brought it in for their mechanic to diagnose it took 3 hours and he incorrectly diagnosed the problem. They tried to get me to purchase and keep the extended warranty, which I told them I did not want, and suggested to file a claim under that. I cancelled payment when they mentioned that. I did ask for a refund of the price of the car or for them to buy it back and they would not do either. They wanted me to purchase another vehicle from them. They state in the office that there is a 30 day satisfaction guarantee. I am definitely not satisfied. You can never reach anyone at the office and they never call back. I feel we were lied to and taken advantage of. Attached is some documentation, communication and the inspection with the cost of repairs that are nearly equivalent to purchase price of the car, which doesn't include the cost of the A/C repair. As you will see in the attached the Transfer case is bad, timing cover and valve cover gaskets leaking, contaminated brake lines. Wrong engine coolant added causing it to become gel like. Upper and lower Control arms need replaced, ball joints failed both sides and bushings cracked. Air filter filthy. Serpentine belt and tensioner need replaced. Even though they said they replaced the belt. AC is not functioning. I would like them to take the car back and refund me the cost of my purchase price.Business Response

Hello everyone,
First of all I apologize for the late response, I am sorry I cant find the email sent to me on 11/14/2024.
This vehicle was inspected by ********* and as it can be seen in their invoice "vehicle inspection was performed and all is good".
Nevertheless ******** offered our customer ******* ******* to check the vehicle and also to help if it needed something. She never showed up to her appointment with the shop.
Meanwhile we received a complaint made by ******* ******* to DMV against our dealership.
DMV requested from us all relevant sales documents for the respective investigation of this case.
The final resolution from DMV is: The case is closed and no further action is required.
We all at Scottis Auto Sales keep a high level of performance in all areas. We do our job with honesty and in compliance with the law. Our customers are our priority, and we strive to keep them highly satisfied and happy.
Cordially,

I am rejecting this response because: As I submitted text conversations that they would not return my call or text when I asked when can I bring it in for repairs. I needed to confirm and schedule to arrange for transportation. Then they refused to do the work because I filed a complaint with the ************************, who forwarded it to the ****** The *** only deals with the actual purchase or the vehicle and if it is in regards to the repair shop then that is Depart of agriculture and consumer services issues. That is why they closed the case. Also, as Scottis stated, that when they took it to ********* for an inspections and they wrote all is good that is not he case as you can see from the detailed report from Ren house that there was nothing ok with this vehicle.
Sincerely,

Purchased a vehicle on 2/24/2024. Was provided a We Owe for 2 sun visors, and still not replaced. On 2/24 I also purchased a 5 year 60k mile extended warranty for $3k. On 3/20 the check engine light came on. I filed a warranty claim and took it to a shop for repairs. It needed an 02 sensor, Fuel evaporation canister, and a radiator. The warranty company sent an Adjuster who deemed the repairs were denied because they were pre-existing issues prior to me purchasing the car and purchasing the warranty that same day. I contacted the dealer and they are willing to do nothing about the repairs even though the warranty company put it on the dealer. The dealer then started ignoring me ever since that time which was on 4/12. I then contacted the warranty company and said I wanted to cancel the warranty and get my $3k back since the coverage is pointless if they will not cover any repairs. I filled out the cancelation form and emailed it to the warranty company. They then sent it to the dealer to finalize cancelation. This was on 4/22. The dealer was supposed to be responsible for refunding the $3k. Once again nobody will return my calls, texts, or emails. I have sent over 20 of them with zero response. So at this point they screwed me out of the $3,100 I had to pay out of pocket for the repairs but also still owe me the $3k for the warranty. I confirmed with the warranty company that the policy was cancelled thru the dealer but they still have not sent myself or my bank any money and furthermore still continue to ignore me. I am at a loss of what to do about this as it has caused me a tremendous amount of stress and consumed a great deal of my time and money.Business Response

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
On or about 2/24/2024 ****************** purchased a 2016 Maserati Ghibli with ***** miles from Scotti's Auto Sales:
Thank you for reaching out and expressing your concerns. We understand that you're frustrated, and we're committed to resolving the issue in a fair and timely manner.
At the time of purchase the car was in perfect driving conditions. It was previously test driven with no sign of any issues or problem, also it has a clean history and a good maintenance records (see attached Carfax report).
At ********, all vehicles are sold AS IS - NO DEALER WARRANTY, however we offer our customers extended ********************** contracts to be purchased, which in this case ****************** did purchased it (Headstart is the name of the company). My understanding is that Headstart covered some of the claim (s) made. Unfortunately we can't control what claims the warranty company pays or what doesn't. ****************** decided to cancel this service contract and a cancellation form was submitted on April 22,2024 (see attachment). Sometimes it takes about six weeks to receive the refunds from those cancellations. As soon as we receive the refund we immediately send it to whom it may concern. In this case, a refund in the amount of $3303.34 has been sent to the lien holder (Suncoast Schools Credit Union).
In regards to the visors, we did ordered the clips that were considered to fix the problem.

I bought a Truck I put $1000 down and trade it in a car on the way home, which was a 2 Hour Dr. the check engine light come on, so I contacted the business and let them know the next morning. I had it put on a diagnostic machine. The engine code said that it was the transmission and I noticed that the tires were also dry rotted which is a safety hazard and I had just drove two hours on a vehicle but in the end Im paying $50,000 for it said the engine code was deleted 370 miles ago. I had just drove this vehicle over **************************************************************************************************************************************************** returning the vehicle they told me I cannot return the vehicle and told me to file a warranty claim a warranty that they signed me up for when I bought the vehicle so I took it to a transmission shop and they normally found that the transmission had issues, but the engine is also leaking oil from the back of the engine after some arguing back in fourth, they finally agreed to pay the difference that the warranty company would not cover for the transmission but are wanting me to sign a paper saying that the truck was bought as is and they were doing this to help us out so when I told them that I was not going to sign a paper until the whole vehicle was taken care of which means we would have to take it to an engine shop because the place that did the transmission only did transmissions and the guy told me at the time that we spoke about the transmission that he would also pay for the two front tires with your dry rotted because it was a safety hazard but now the manager is telling me that theyre not going to pay for the tires and unless I sign this paper, theyre not paying for the transmission and they are wanting to get the engine taken care of before I sign this paper which makes me feel like theyre just going to s**** me over so I need help this is $50,000 that Im paying for a vehicle that has so many issuesBusiness Response

Customer: ************************* and ************************* (customer)
Vehicle: 2016 **** ***** VIN: *****************
This vehicle was purchased by the above mentioned buyers in good operating condition and was inspected and test drove it before customer took possession of it in person. Customer accepted the vehicle in the condition that was currently in. The vehicle was sold AS IS - NO DEALER WARRANTY (attached signed papers). In the same transaction the customer also purchased an extended ********************** contract, which covers mechanical issues (attached signed contract).
Customer called and stated that the vehicle had transmission issues. We recommended to take it to a transmission shop to get it diagnosed and there was an issue with the shifting. Although the vehicle was sold AS IS and we don't owe anything to customer (attached signed form), we offered, as a one time act of goodwill, to help paying the inspection fee which the service contract doesn't cover. In order to pay this inspection fee we required from our customer to sign a "Goodwill Letter" which they rejected to do so. Therefore we can't pay such fee until that letter is signed.
Also we never offered or promised tires to the vehicle.
We all at Scotti's Auto Sales keep a high level of performance in all areas. We do our job with honesty and in compliance with the law. Our customers are our priority, and we strive to keep them highly satisfied and happy.

I purchased a used automobile and extended warranty back in August 2021. A claim for repairs was filed & paid February 2022. When I took the vehicle for repairs December 27, 2022, I found out that my policy is no longer active. The needed repairs (suspension) are serious, and make my SUV unsafe for my children and me.I've reached out to the dealership multiple times, but have received no real explanation or resolution.Business Response

On or about August 28, 2021 ********************* purchased a 2015 Cadillac Escalade VIN # ***************** from our dealership. She also bought with it a Vehicle Service Contract (it is from a 3rd party company) which she attached a copy of it.
As she expressed in her complaint, her first claim was paid , this is obviously because the service contract was in force and valid. (We have never sold or will sell any fraudulent product).
In early January 2023, **************** informed the dealership that her car was in the shop, and the warranty company " Endurance", was declining to cover the repair. After some investigation on our part, we were able to determine that there was an error on the warranty company's part. After they realized about their mistake they corrected it and reinstated the Vehicle Service Contract. As of the date of this response, ***************' policy is in force, and will pay for any covered breakdown per the terms of the Service Agreement. We have never sold or will sell any fraudulent product or engaged in any fraudulent activity. I believe **************** owes an apology for that comment in her complaint.

I purchased a vehicle from Scottis Auto Sales on June 30, 2022, deposited Cash of $5000 for used $18,********** ***** 3.October 4th 2022 the car disappeared from my home, I thought my car was stolen becuase I have never missed a car payment, then on the way to the police station to report this my mobile bank App notified me that large sums of money were put back into my account from the loan finance place. right away I knew the car was not stolen becuase scotties Auto towed away the car. I called & called profusely for a few days & left messages no one responded, i received no email that this was going to happen. Days later Art spoke to me informing the car was taken & the Loan canceled due to lack of insurance being in my name only. IN MY SHOCK the car was insured for sure, but still taken. Art **** arranged with a transporter to collect the car key from me, which I eagerly agreed thinking this can easily be resolved, becuase Art ******* me he was seeking another loan for me. Oct 14, 2022 I arrived at the tow place by Uber to meet the transporter and I Learned the Tow Place they used "Specialized Towing" emptied & cleaned out everything inside my car, all my personal belongings, and told me that I have to pay $150 to receive all my personal items and Lisence plate or they will dispose within 30 days, I informed Art **** he did not respond or give me any solution. I have been back & forth with him for almost 3 mths now from October 4, 22 with excuses & promises that he is getting me a loan for the car, I have been fully compliant for a loan with all the necessary insurance documents since and still no car or the return of my $5000 Deposit, Art also informed me that I won't get my money back or its doubtful. I have lengthy text messages with promises of a loan, I am helpless at this point and need assistance becuase I am taken advantage of, and this is basically theft. i also have no car and i'm not able to Commute. Any Assistance you provide will be Appreciated.Business Response

So I bought a car 11/26/2022 from scottis auto sales in ********. They sold me a car that was over priced for the options that it had. It was supposed to be a level 2 option car. Drove 4 hours to get the car. Upon inspection of the car after we arrived home it came to include base model seat, halgoen headlights The level 2 cars come with upgraded seats and headlights. Upon inspection the air bag light was on due to the seats being changed out by previous owner also the headlights were changed out as well. Also the service engine light came on as I was half way home. Upon future inspection of this it has no catalytic converter on the car. I did speak to a member of the dealer and he told be that he would get that taken care of. So here we are 2 weeks later several emails stating my complaint to the company. I would like them to give me back the **** dollars I put down on the car to help offset the cost of the repairs. I feel like I was taken advantage of on the price of the car minus the options it has. I have the original window sticker from when the car was first sold. Those options were a **** dollar upgrade from the factory which the car no longer has cause the previous owner switched everything out to a base car. I have taken the car to the **** dealership and they will not fix the air bag system as it will need the seats that were originally equipped with car from the factory as all the *** sensors are vin specific. They can replace the headlights to the original ones that came with car and the program fee. I just would like my down payment returned back to me and that would make me feel better. I can get the rest fixed from the **** dealer.Business Response

I purchased a vehicle within the past 30 days from ******* Auto in ********, **. Within a few days of purchase, my vehicle had both minor and major issues. The car rear view mirror fell off while I was driving it and would not go back on. I took the car to ****************** to be fixed as I thought this was a minor issue, no, it ended up needing an entire windshield replacement. I was informed that it appeared that the top was opened up somewhere it should not have been, causing major damage to the closing mechanism that attaches to the windshield, which could cause a major risk. Upon reading other peoples reviews and comments online it appears this is not an uncommon practice of this business to sell cars that have major issues that are hidden, or glazed over upon the buying process. A big gash opened up in my leather seat as well 2 days after purchase. It appears it was glued, and after a few in and outs in the car, opened back up. The right thing to do would be to pay for the bill of repairs to my car. I pick the vehicle up tomorrow morning, and can and will provide a receipt upload to this complaint for your review. This unethical business practice needs to be put to an end. Be honest, be forthright, and do better.Business Response

On or about September 7th, 2022 ****************** purchased a 2014 Porsche Boxster with VIN: ***************** from Scotti's Auto Sales. Such vehicle was sold in good condition and had no issues. Also the vehicle was described in our website to the best of our knowledge, everything in the car was in good working condition. ****************** did a test drive and checked the vehicle before the purchase took place. She came to our dealership to take delivery of the vehicle in person (spot delivery, see attachment) and all was at her total satisfaction including the financing process.
This vehicle is about 9 years old and the original warranty has expired however a service contract protection plan had been offered and explained to *****************, but she decided to decline it (see attachment).
This vehicle was sold "AS IS - NO DEALER WARRANTY" (see attachment) and Scotti's Auto Sales owes nothing to ***************** (see attachment).
To the best of my knowledge ****************** never contacted us to let us know about the issues with the car. We have our repair facility where we could have checked the vehicle for her and work with her in case it needs repairs, service, adjustments or any other of the car needs.

I am rejecting this response because:not only did this car need a windshield days after I bought it, there was also an open safety recall on the vehicle. If this company did their due diligence to offering a safe and sound vehicle neither of these issues would have occurred right away as a new car owner. The rear view mirror was glued on which I did not notice and a huge gash opened up in my driver seat also was glued and wasnt visible at time of purchase. Selling a vehicle needing both a safety recall and needing a windshield replacement both issues happened within a week of having my new purchase. This is not professional to tell me too bad AS IS. Youre selling me a car not worth the price for the **** dollar repair needed right away that could have been a huge safety issue as the rear view mirror fell off right away from the crappy glue used to attempt a repair to push off on a new person. I call this very bad service to list a car for 40 grand with these issues. At least fix an open recall! If you indeed inspected the vehicle youd know it had these issues. I will most definitely let all my clients and people I know to steer clear from your establishment. I know many ppl in your area. Im sorry to hear you will not be helpful in helping with the cost of my windshield. Its not appreciated
Sincerely,
