Terrible service. Staff very rude. They will give you the runaround. Do not recommend.

Im tired of the unfriendly, rude front office staff. Every office Ive been to is the same. When sitting in the way room you can hear their smart mouth talking about patients. Its as bad when calling, once they ever answer it.. Ive moved on from Intercoastal and have another doctor. Good riddance!

One of the worst experiences I have ever had. If you live within an hour of Intercoastal its better to drive and ask questions in person. Its typically a 45-minute wait anytime you call to get anyone on the phone. When I voice my frustration about the wait, I have been told every time well there is only 1 person taking calls..... So if you are only able to provide 50% service then I will be paying for 50% of my bill. Almost every staff member I have encountered has been rude and I have had 2 employees hang up on my while mid sentence. Stay away from this place at all costs if you want someone that truly cares about your health, please choose any place other than intercoastal! I only left 1 star because it wouldnt allow me to leave 0 stars

I had an appt for 3:30. I pre-checked in the day before. I arrived at 3:31 pm and there was no nurse to take me back. I always pay after my appt but this time the front office asked me to pay before my appt. My card was charged at 3:35. I still was not called back. I waited in the waiting room for someone to call me back. I pre-checked in the night before. No one came to bring me back so I asked the receptionist why no one called me back. She said I owed $20-I was never charged before services before further delaying my appt. It was likely another 5 minutes. When April the nurse for Dr T***** opened the door, she started accusing me of being late and that the doctor saw the appt after me. She kept saying, you were checked in 10 minutes late- I said that is a problem with how you check people in. I was waiting to be called back. She scheduled someone for a new appt why I was there for my appt and yet it was my fault. Though I explained that I was delayed by their office, April was beyond rude-inappropriately so. I saw McCarren for years and never had this experience. Dr. T***** continued the blame the patient and back his rude and lying nurse for a 15 minute appt that was a waste of my time. I got no service or opportunity to address my health concerns though they will bill my insurance company for a ridiculous amount of money.

Never in my sixty-five years have I dealt with more incompetent people. Never answered the phone. I had to drive to the office because they failed to give me prep info for my scheduled Colonoscopy. Girl in office had to count on her fingers how many hours between prep solutions and was off by twelve hours. Then I spent twenty-four hours prepping to find they are closed and no one contacted me. I called serval times to no avail. Then I get a call from the Surgery Center asking if I still wanted to come in and immediately after the call I get a text they are closed. If I could leave zero stars I would have. *** ********

*** ********* As you know, I called your office stating how sick I was and I was having difficulty breathing.. A CT scan was ordered and I had it on June 18th. Your nurse called and said you wanted to see me the following Tuesday. June 25th. You walked in to the examination room, looked at my scan, told me how sick I was and that you wanted to consult with other doctors. You never even touched me or listened to my lungs. You said you saw fluid and wanted a sample to be drawn through the Radiology Dept. at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center. Your last words as you left the room were, “Don’t move. I need to figure this out. Don’t go anywhere. I’ll be back.” We waited close to twenty minutes and your nurse came in and told us you had left for the day. (She was more caring than you) You never came back. She didn’t know what you wanted done. What kind of doctor does this???? Could you not have come back and said, “I’m sorry. I need to go but my nurse will handle everything.” She had to call you to find out what antibiotics to order and told us Lakewood Ranch would call to schedule the biopsy. They never did and as of this writing I still haven’t heard from them. No follow-up was scheduled. You finally called about 10 days later and I told you I had scheduled a CT scan with Sarasota Memorial on my own and you said, “Ok. Good.”, and hung up. I still felt awful so I went to my family doctor who listened to my lungs and immediately ordered a CT scan, with and without contrast, at Sarasota Memorial. I had that done today. The scan showed my lymph nodes are infected. I am on prednisone (7 days) and levofloxacin (750 ml. for 7 days). I am seeing a doctor in the radiology department there Mon. July 15th to discuss the procedure to have the fluid biopsied if necessary and have an appointment with Dr. Sheriff on July 22nd. I am leaving your practice. You know I’m a stem cell transplant patient and at risk for many different issues.

I have been a patient with I.M.G. now for over 30 years. Unfortunately, for the past two or three years, communication by phone has been agonizing. The portal has been available to me but there are times when the need to talk to a human being is required. This has been nearly impossible, and I am dumbfounded as to why this problem persists. Surely upper management has had this issue brought to their attention, but, for whatever reason, this issue continues. I cannot over-emphasize how annoying being on hold for so long that I hang-up the phone is. Wake-up I.M.G.!!!

Terrible health providers in Sarasota at one time a great one, no one answer the phones, their portal is overloaded super slow. Under staff for the last two -three years. The current staff is clueless how to provide care most appear just hire off the street. Urologist and they only one have for a over 100 physicians on staff. His only goal is make money on each patient and does care why you are there. He is a big no go. The Neuro Dept is a joke you can't see a MD they are never in the office great job with great pay with our Medicare money. I'm using the Sarasota Hospital physicals group outstanding group and their offices answer their phones and return calls and you see an MD.

This practice sucks! Primary care doc (******) ordered CT Scan with contrast of abdomen and pelvic area and didnt have the decency to call with results. I called radiology and a nurse (?) gave me an amateur, half-assed summary. So I asked for and got the imagery and radiology report which even in my interpretation was far more complete than the do-called nurse provided. Subsequently, used the portal (what a joke) and requested a follow-up with ******. No response the portal is broken thanks to an incompetent IT manager. How difficult is it for the doc to personally follow-up? Extremely difficult it seems. He ordered the scan for crying out loud.

My whole family has been going there for years. My husband scheduled a physical months ago, (that's how far out they're scheduling), he took a day off work to be told WHEN HE GOT THERE that he is being dropped because they aren't taking "new patients" and since he hasn't been there in a while, he is considered a "new patient ". They didn't have the courtesy to call him beforehand. Today my mother went for her appointment to be told WHEN SHE GOT THERE that the Dr. is out sick and needs to be rescheduled. My 74 year old mother doesn't drive so she has to find another ride on a different day. We used to recommend them to anyone that asked. We don't anymore.
