    I would leave 0 stars if it were an option. My husband and I bought a 2023 Tacoma off of the show room floor. We also decided to purchase the extended warranty. In 2025 we traded that truck in for a new Tacoma at another dealership. I went to Sarasota Toyota in Feb after the purchase of our new truck and signed the paperwork to get a refund on the remainder of the warranty. We are going on 3 months and still have not received the refund. With the multiple calls that we have made to Sarasota Toyota we have been told our paperwork was lost, we will handle it or someone will call you back. We have been lied to, hung up on and totally disrespected through this process. Be careful when dealing with this Business!!

    DO NOT PURCHASE ANY VEHICLES USED FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!! ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS THEIR COMMISSION!!! I DELT WITH MEGAN ***** AND BUSINESS MANAGER MARCUS. The 2016 chevy cruze I purchased from this dealership has been un-drivable and in the auto shop since Monday March 4th. I pickedup the car from the auto shop in March 15th, sent it right back to the shop and just now able to drive it on the 27th of March!! The breaks went out on the vehicle while I was driving it. Thank God I wasn't killed or no one else was killed!! The mechanic I had the car towed to says the break line was broken in two places and the car is not drivable. It is costing me $500+ to repair it. I was charged an additional $1296 for this dealership to inspect, clean, and adjust this vehicle which was included in the cost, On top of what I am out of for the breaks repairs! These **** knowingly sold me a vehicle and allowed me to get on the highway and drive almost 100miles back home with a patched up break line. On top of this bs, the engine light came on. Had that checked and was told that the entire thermostat housing assembly had to be replaced! So now I am out of another $500!!! I partially blame myself for not waiting until I had time to show up in person and inspect the vehicle and drive it first before buying it, instead of trusting a bunch of incentive money hungry mf who do not give a damn about anyone else life !!!! Oh, and not to mention the Tire pressure light that was on when I took possession of the car. When I asked about it... I was told by Megan, Oh you have to take it to your local dealership and have the tire sensor replaced. And the warrantyI purchased would not cover these repairs.

    Was very rude. Had me sign a sale agreement of $10k down payment and $225/monthly. Once he found out I needed a couple days to get the money his whole attitude changed. Even making comments with my credit no one will accept ***** already had a year of nightmares and for him to make these comments (there were others) is very unprofessional.

    After having my last mechanic close shop due to the pandemic, I was in search of a place I could service both my vehicles. Sarasota Toyota has been that and more for me! I not only know my vehicle is getting proper care here, but as their customer I am taken care of too. I leave the parking lot each time having confidence on the roadways. Knowing that everything is in order and that the vehicle is safe to drive. That is thanks to the communication, knowledge, and skills of these employees. Thank you to ******* and *** for always greeting me and getting me started outside. For **********************************, and ****** as they confirm items/services with me once I walk in. Thank you to ******, ****, and Will for always taking care of my vehicles. Finally thank you to ******* as she keeps things well organized between both of our familys accounts. Everyone here makes for an incredible team and Im extremely happy to have found them after loosing my previous shop.

    **** *. We bought a car for our son's birthday on Saturday 05.28.2023, when we got home, he saw a receipt from Toyota of Sarasota with a description of the car we bought, he immediately said, he does not like this car and does not want it. On the next day, which was on Sunday 05.29.2023 we went to the dealer to cancel the transaction, the manager and the accounting department does not want to cancel the contract even though we never took the car and never received any contract documents nor any key. Please be advised about this /Toyota location if you want to buy a car. They do not show any sympathy, I even called the TD bank to cancel the loan, The bank told me Toyota of Sarasota is the one need to cancel the transaction. Don't ever go there if you ever need to buy a car because I don't want you to fall into the same trap.

    DON'T GO THERE -- I went to Sarasota Toyota this morning to have them repair the back hatch door on my 2009 Toyota Venza, which was jammed shut by the people at the carwash. I was unable to open it either manually or via the remote. The service advisor came out to tell me that it needed a new motor for $905. I told him I couldn't do that. I asked him if it was able to be opened manually and he very rudely said "I don't know." I then went to my car and tried to open it manually and it opened. When I got into my car, I pressed the automatic hatch release button and the hatch opened. I then went around to the back of the car and pressed the closed button. It also worked. It also works via the smart key as it should. There was no need to replace anything. Obviously, it just needed to be opened manually by them. I realize businesses take advantage of senior citizens (especially women), but this experience was absolutely disgusting.

    My son purchased a used car from this dreadful dealership. It was a classic bait and switch sale. He had been promised a specific sales price which included an extended warranty by the salesman. Once he got back to the finance manager, he was constantly distracted and asked questions about his sexuality and who he had *** with. He was very uncomfortable and wanted to get out of the dealership immediately. The finance manager started to rush him and asked him simply to sign at the bottom of several sheets. When he got the paperwork in the mail, he had been charged an additional charge of over $4000 for an extended warranty that had been included in the original quoted price. The dealership has been incredibly uncooperative and my son has been hung up on multiple times by the sales manager as he tried to resolve this over the phone. I WOULD ADVISE EVERYONE TO NEVER BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP as their practices are extremely unethical.

    Buyer beware!I purchased a preowned car but never took delivery, as the Sales Manager ****************** promised to replace the exhaust and the bottom black trim pieces on vehicle. They replaced the exhaust but they cannot get the trim parts. This has been over a month now. They cannot fulfill their end of the agreement, so I want my money back.
